The best way to caulk a tub surround is to tile it! Lol! Solid tips my friend. Most of the time with some practice and cutting the tip properly you can tool the caulking without ever touching it.

You successfully took a 3-minute job and made it take 20 minutes! You realize you can do the exact same thing without the tape, right? The trick to caulking is the way you cut the tip to lay down the bead and constant steady pressure with the gun. If you're not real good at it then get the tube!
Also, typically you want to make sure that the shower surround is secure to the wall before you begin caulking. Susie Homemaker tip of the day is if the shower surround pops up with only the pressure painters tape it's not time to caulk

I think hes demonstrating for amateurs which the tape is probably the best option.

I use to do finish trim work in new homes I remember caulking so much and rubbing it out with soapy water my index fingers would stay raw.. Eventually they callused up and were tough as leather. I believed I have coped enough trim to go around the earth...lol

I just started roofing about a year ago. I'm still pretty green and have a lot to learn but I'm progressing at a steady rate. I found ur channel a couple weeks ago and realized you lived in indiana as well. I'm a couple hours south around Lafayette. are you guys fully booked for this year? my boss has about 70 roofs on the books so far. hes a monster at getting jobs. was curious if you'd maybe be interested in us subbing some roofs out to you. the ones that are closer to you possibly. I'm sure your plates full but figured it wouldnt hurt to ask. have a good day sir!

@@NWIVeteranConstruction right back at ya man. I've already used your videos a few times to show my guys "the right way". I really appreciate it!
Nothing uploaded but we started making some videos. Idea was for new guys to get a chance to get a look before day 1. Whatever it turns into you were a large inspiration.

I wish I had recorded more work because what you're doing is invaluable to us(your audience) and i hope for you too.
