    Boy cub is going to worth his weight in gold one day. I know you appreciate him and hopefully he knows it .don't let him go keep the incentive good for him .im turning 50 soon and my ability is leaving me fast so I'll be looking for a different way of making a living. I only wish I would have trained a loyal crew to preserve what I know like you.

    Zach, we didn't frame bird boxes normally if there was no framing we used a 2x4 extended it out to be even with the fascia board on the gable and attached everything we needed to that. Much stronger than you would think too.

    The struggle was real getting that nailed in, eh? I hate heavy hoses too. When I am stuck with one I get some slack and temporarily hook it on my belt somewhere. Around my hammer or snips or whatever is sticking out at the time. Or throw a loop around the top of the ladder if I'm doing a lot of work in one spot

    Good video, you should of just brought the 2x10 too the 1x6 fascia board and cut off the pork chops with 1x6 and finished it off with 1 inch finishing nails, it would of been alot easier on you, make sure too oil that framing nailer everyday or it will skip more and break down then you will be buying another one!

    @davidfrisch5538 Před rokem

    Everyone's a pro .. cool to see a few mistakes every now an then honestly.. no shame in using a couple goldies, put your screws in half way on the board on the ground and easier using a screw gun instead of a heavy nailer with a sort air hose on a ladder . Help free up your other hand so you don't have to balance your weight learning over .. thanks for sharing

    Hey man I'm having a debate with a guy about how to put the last ridge cap shingle when you get to the end. I say you start at one end and work your way to the other end. When you get about a foot away from the end you start laying the ridge cap coming from that end then.

    • @NWIVeteranConstruction

    Zach, you're using a left hand circular saw in your right hand. However it being cordless it may not have the power of the much more powerful AC saws. Kickback with the blade on the inside would really be bad back in the day. Some newer saws have brakes that help to slow down the blade speed once the trigger is released. However safety features do fail from time to time. Just Sayin, Whip

    Holy Crap. That was painful to watch. Note to self. If you plan on doing a video that you are going to post for the whole world to see, maybe be a little better organized and prepared. There are numerous cordless guns out there and maybe another monkey to help hold and nail when you are in an awkward situation up on ladders and over extending that way.
