the flower of Scotland by Barbara Dickson absolutely beautiful very well done a delight to the ear
Barbara Dickson ....a truly great singer....every Scot should be proud of her. I'm English and I absolutely love her.
This is my home land Scotland proud to be part of this great country and where my ancestors lived and died for
my father was born in Scotland. As a little boy my great grandmother kept telling us to never forget that you are a direct descendent of Rob Roy McGregor
@@waltsteel my ancestor married him and other MacGregor's who went to America in the 1800s
May your Celtic roots hold firm in Scottish soil🏴🎶
Good singer and being Scottish she really does this justice. First time hearing.......
This girl can sing, I'm English, but absolutely love this song, it brings a shiver to my spine, wonderful song and anthem for the Scots.
I am from Cork Ireland love this rendition
Beautiful song
She is the only one who can sing this 🎵 song. The most beautiful voice ful of emotion and passion.
You obviously haven't heard the Corries then?
@@thomasdobbie4504 I am going to listen 🎶 to them right away
Flower of Scotland was written by Roy Williamson of the Corries sometime around the mid/late 1960's. The song was adopted by the Scottish people as our unofficial national anthem many years ago, and is sung with great pride and passion by Scottish supporters at sporting events, particularly rugby and football matches. Roy died in 1990 at the age of 54.
Pure class Barbara
Would listen to this for ever and ever.
l'Hymne le plus parfait au monde.
Love Barbara singing this, also the pictures. Brilliant 👏 👏 👏
Personally I think she's trying too hard for what is a simple folk song . Although not a good copy, I much prefer the 1975 version by The Corries, written by Roy Williamson of that duo.

Just magic All the best p.m
This a song for Scotland and England for our children and country for a free country
Wow...this is the best rendition of Roy Williamson's famous anthem of Scotland. I remember hearing it first at Lansdown Road as Ireland and Scotland played for each Country's Pride, many years ago now (early 90's before 1994 for certain) and Roy would have passed on by then.
That picture of the four young soldiers has made me realise something I always say the youth today what went wrong this that and the other but oooking at that picture they aren’t so different after all just 4 mischievous lads like any kids there age today only difference being their future or more than likely the lack there off
Love

They must remain, ? they still remain, ?
No one does this justice like Barbara. Makes me wish I was Scottish.... must check up on Ancestry surely there must be a Scottish great grandparent somewhere lol x
One doesn’t ‘fade’ out an anthem. This song should have a proper ending. Gotta remind enemies to think again.
Comment superfluous....
