I love this evening with but my favourite part is not audible lily says something about harry Secombe having nipple clamps on under his duffel coat and if you read Barbara’s lips she replied he probably does which I think is funny. I was born in the same place as Barbara and met her several times she was always very happy to talk to you and a naturally warm and friendly lady. She is one of the most underrated singers and actors in the country and she has never aged and her voice is still incredible.

The song is very familiar. I know I heard it so much even I was a kid, but I remember nothing painfully.

Wow...this is the best rendition of Roy Williamson's famous anthem of Scotland. I remember hearing it first at Lansdown Road as Ireland and Scotland played for each Country's Pride, many years ago now (early 90's before 1994 for certain) and Roy would have passed on by then.

I prefer this stripped back version to the the heavily orchestrated recorded version - it really showcases her vocals but also gives the song's simple and powerful metaphor room to breathe.

My goodness was that actually 43 years ago! I was young then and used to go to a lot of concerts. One of the greatest female performers, such a great voice. Miss those days. ❤
