This episode was pretty memorable for Gleeks because the character, Karofsky, made a suicide attempt but was thankfully saved by his father who arrived home at the last moment to save him.
This one was really tough. I watched it with my son the first time and he struggled a bit. But suicide attempts and bullying were at a 4ise at the time and It helped me explain it all in a language he could understand...Music.
This is my favorite song in all of Glee. Darren Criss’ voice is so fucking beautiful and the scene is so powerful. There’s a lot leading up to this of course but I don’t want to ruin it for you if you’re watching Glee.

The history is that Dave bullied Kurt. But he bullied him because he was jealous that Kurt was out of the closet, while Dave is still in the closet, even at his new school. One of the guys from the locker room saw Dave and Kurt talking at Breadstix and started bullying Dave and got some of the other jocks to join in.
It was very difficult. The guy had been hiding his sexuality and struggling with it. He had been extremely cruel to another gay kid in the school. Somehow it came out and he was devastated. I cried the first 10 times I saw it. But for us back in the day we had to wait like a week between episodes to find out what happened. It definitely gave me a new perspective on the. "Hurt people, hurt people" phrase.
The actor is Darren Chris his voice is 100% better than the episode production allowed for. I always hated the effects they put on his vocals early on. Later seasons it was way better.

Glee was a great show,they were not afraid to address issues that were happening to kids in school or just daily life, the singing is great! He attempted suicide but thankfully he did go through with it

I don't understand why people want to hurt others. Especially when it doesn't have anything to do with them. What do they get from it? It makes no sense.
