I think Romania was the best team in this group. A pity they couldn't qualify.
Indeed, Romania deserved to qualify for that 🎉European Championship, but it happened the following "robbery" in 1987: Polster was in pole position for gaining the "Gold shoe" for the European football player. But, in that year, in the Romanian football championship it was a trick in order Camataru score 3,4 goals every game and finally he exceeded Polster and Camataru gained the Golden Shoe. Therefore, the Austrians played very tough against Romania in Wien and the score was 0-0. In my opinion the referee was not fair and "helped" Austria. Therefore, Romania did not qualify and Spain qualify for European Championship
Austria couldn't with Spain and a great Romania... well, at least next year it will be in the Euro 2024 in Germany
