    Good video. Very informative.

    your positioning, and drilling, are possibly more accurate than factory were.

    Great video. I have a 948cc Morris is this a modification that should be done for this engine? may I suggest a butterfly shaft re-bushing episode, that would be fantastic.. As always great videos and topics. TX

      I have already done a spindle rebushing video a few years ago. Any road based engine will benefit by having a vacuum take off for a vacuum advance mechanism. It is usually worth 6 to 8 mpg.

    would you do this to only one if using a dual carb setup?

    • @ACDodd
      @ACDodd  Před 3 měsíci +3

      Yes same as the factory

    Great work. What's the benefit of taking that vacuum off the carb as opposed to the manifold like on my late model MGB ?

    • @ACDodd
      @ACDodd  Před 3 měsíci +5

      It reduces the vacuum signal at idle and hence improves the hydrocarbon reading massively. Thus the engine runs cleaner for emissions testing and you still get the benefit of vacuum advance when cruising.

      @@ACDodd so basically at idle it runs less advance?

    Nice vid but why use a Centre drill on alloy when you have an x n y axis ? also no gloves on those hairless hands with a flame ?
    Would a heat gun work n be safer ?

    • @ACDodd
      @ACDodd  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Centre drills do not wander like a normal drill bit can. I am confident around flames and that particular flame you can actually put your hand through it and you won’t get burned, clearly if you held it there that would be different and silly!

      I Wonder how far they would Wander in an axis Drill press ?🤔😄
