It’s a bit of a red herring to be honest. He had adapted his game to be a penalty box poacher way before Euro 2016. I think he did it to keep his goal scoring figures comparative to Messi’s. For a tall guy it was amazing he could still play like that until near 30, this shows his high determination and professionalism. Fast paced dribbling would draw tackles and by itself put lots of stress on knees.

Pogba, Gullit, Zidane, Henry, Vlahovic, Cantona, Ronaldo.....there are more than enough tall players who are (were) monsters at dribbling. Usually they can combine it with pace, as tall players reach higher speeds than short ones. Obviously short players will be more agile and accelerate slightly quicker of the mark than tall players (due to nature of things), but tall players have much better physicality in terms of body and reaching top speeds due to longer legs and more muscle mass, which makes them explosive.

      @@midget420 i let u decide
Definition of a complete football player.
      1. Pace
      2. Shooting with both legs.
      3. Physics
      4. Understanding the play
5 dangerous without the ball, this means that when a player does not have the ball he will seek a spot where he can do tge most of.
      6. Good/scores with the head.
      7. Freekicks/penalty
      8. Position..this mean that whenever the ball is heading towards the goal area..the player almost everytime happen to be their and score.
Now these are just some and now u tell me with a open mind. Ronaldo fits every singel one of them but not Messi..Messi is great but never the most complete. Becuase if he was he would gave delievered in PSG just as he did in barca..and i dont think no one can say that Ronaldo is bad outside Real. Ronaldo is Ronaldo no matter what team he plays for👍

Messi proved he was protected all these years at Barca in la liga, when he finally moved he can’t even prove himself in the French league which is quite pathetic really. Ronaldo broke records at Real Madrid and scored 50 goals at Manchester United in more difficult leagues against tougher opponents. He was top scorer in Serie A, Italian defences are the toughest to crack and not easy to top score in Italy, but again Ronaldo did at 35 years old.
