- This Terraria weapon fires extraordinarily fast... The Chain Gun. Terraria has A LOT of awesome guns to chose from, varying in firing styles, damage and of course fire rate. Today we take a look at the fastest firing weapon in all of Terraria, the chain gun, which can be obtained post plantera from a Frost Moon. Of course, the question is, how does it hold up at this stage of the came, and does its crazy firerate actually make it that good? Enjoy!

I feel like you missed a great use for this weapon. Daytime Empress while using chlorophyte bullets. This has gotten me through that fight several times

I use this with Ichor Bullets (yes I can aim) and I can tell you, with rapid modifier, this thing can shred anything

Is rapid better than godly/demonic? I would think that damage and crit would be slightly better than just speed
@@fragmentedrose7401Rapid is better because of how rounding works on a weapon that already has such a low use time.
@@gamecavalier3230 that makes sense, though I don't think I'm going to use it anytime soon because I usually get the Eventide before I do the frost moon (in case you don't already know the Eventide has fucking insane DPS potential with wooden or holy arrows)

Same. I always find myself doing summoner cause that's my preferred class. However, I find myself taking extended breaks from those playthroughs because I've done summoner so many times.

assuming you're a normal player, there always Fishron and EoL

also if you do fishron after mechanical bosses you're a sissy, real men do it before

but in all seriousness, fishron weapons pre-mech makes most of hard mode too easy
by the way, why tf fishron is even available in pre-mech stage of the game, his drops are way too powerful
A "Zenith" level upgrade for this gun with no spread and innate homing and piercing would be really cool.
SDMG is it. I've played both Melee and Ranger throughout the game on master mode and I say that, in my opinion, they're equally strong. For intance, after a few attempts against Moon Lord and learning his attack patterns enough to avoid 80% of his attacks, you can kill him easily with Zenith or SDMG.
Zenith indeed have a higher DPS, but SDMG gets its place alongside of it by being able of hitting Moon Lord nonstop if you're using chlorophyte bullets, a nonstop damage that Zenith generally can't handle afford without the player mastering the patterns of Moon Lord's attacks.
It seems to me that the problem is that most people don't praise SDMG as much as it deserves. I'm not saying people should praise SMDG as much as they praise Zenith. I just think people should praise SMDG as much as they praise Last Prism.
I love that in all of your videos of terraria (mostly weapon review or smth) at the end theres you just having fun w/ the weapon on instant use time mod or on cheat sheet

that gun is one of the guns that even if it shoots randomly the players love it
If you haven't already, can you do a video on the optic staff (I think that's it's name, its the twins summon weapon.) I've messed around with it recently and it's honestly pretty fun to use.

I used it to shred duke fishron on my first playthough. although it was classic mode, it was pretty good.
Finally, the chain-gun getting some deserved attention.

You happen to have a guide on hidden Cannon mechanics yet? If not, perhaps it could be done, and with experiments on how best to use buffs and items that give buffs to try and see how this nautical metal boulder launcher can be enhanced... And of course the less ethical alternative that launches weaponized bunnies.
This weapon is actually great against the dungeon guardian with the crystal bullets and btw can you talk about the influx waver pls?

Ichor bullets are incredibly good with this gun, although since chlorophyte is so nice id reccomend having an ichor arrow using bow.

Dumb question regarding arrows:
What are the ammo saving chances (quivers/armor set/bow effects)? Are they additive or multiplicative?
each separate ammo conservation effect works independently
I meant something like stacking two quivers, the Vortex set, and the bow (arrow saving in this case) @@IceKrabik

I love using this thing to kill duke, makes for a clean and easy kill.
I really do hate how the pillar equipment makes everything before obsolete
Why no Venom bullets? Stick the target with an ichor dart or a "melee" ranged weapons with an ichor flask, then go HAM on everything with Venom bullets and their absurd base damage...plus debuff.
It fires so fast that my ears can't handle listening it fire for a long time due to how loud it is even in low volume lol 😂
Without an unreal modifier, I prefer going for a different gun like the tactical shotgun or candy corn rifle.
Terragrim weapon review? Infinite pierce, fast attack speed, and true melee, could be interesting to see how it fares against bosses like the brain
It’s extremely good, but only because it takes knockback,
It’s also good against invasions, and keeping enemies at bay, but both it and the Arkhalis aren’t boss weapons, or late pre/hardmode ones
That being said, it can bring you up to post-Queen been, or post Plantera/Golem
Not as good in master mode, but definitely good weapons to use if you get them, even though most weapons with range are arguably much better
Just got back into terraria after a little break, *WHY IS RANGER SO STUPID BROKEN?!*
For me, chain gun fit the nano bullet, explosive bullet, high velocity, and endless musket pouch more. Nano and explosive are much cheaper than chlorophyte, so despite being less effective against bosses, they are more sustainable.

Chain Gun's high firerate works against it because even with a ton of ammo saving effects you eat through special bullets like no one's business.

I kinda hate how towards the end of the game its required to use chlorophite bullets because the accuracy guns have at this stage sucks.
all fun and games untill angry duke fishron out speeds your bullets. test it against a real boss, a healthbar that doesnt move past hoppity hoppity is just a dps check
Duke ain't faster than those bullets. not even in his dashes. he is fast enough to fuck with your aim though to be fair
The one way this weapon can be amazing is if you want to kill the dungeon guardian. Fastest fire rate means more 1 damage hits.

the megashark isnt legendary, its unreal, silly!
Too bad ranger is objectively the weakest class in 1.4, now that they've added whips for summoner, buffed a lot and reworked some melee weapons and mage just being mage. Ranger has kind of fallen irrelevant, wish they could buff the class like they did with melee.
why does adding whips suddenly make summoner jump up? ranger's still cool as hell and a pretty used class, it honestly doesn't need much more than what it already has (not to say I'll be upset if 1.4.5 adds more to it)
@@uncroppedsoop Ranger is cool and I agree with that 100%, it's badass shooting a gun. To answer your question about summoners, whips just added a lot more DPS, combine it with the tag damage, whip speed bonuses you get from gloves, and flasks, it's gg.
My point is that Ranger needs slight buffs. It's lacking behind, especially in the endgame.
Melee has zenith
Summoner has terraprisma (technically pre golem)
Mage just exists in general
And.. ranger... a dolphin gun.

Chain Gun is not a direct update of Megashark, it's more unique weapon. Btw try with explosive bullets.
The direct update of simple full-auto bullet-fed gun with low spread is S.D.M.G., and I mean the pre-1.3 version.
