Looks enough to me
Looks fantastic - super jealous of that amazing wood and how you designed it!
I was one of the ones suggesting tetra and apistos, love the look (I definitely need more green neons for my 300l for sure!). I think you've got a good amount as is, but you could always add a whiptail cat or a pleco later, also on my Amazon tank list.
Enjoy the new setup - it's amazing!
YES MJ!!!! It's turned out so good!!! Really nicely done. 👍👍
Thanks so much MD! Keep inspiring! 💪
@@MJAquascaping @MD you guys are the best!
MD and MJ on the same channel ?!
Thanks you both !
Honestly, you are the 2 guys (with green aqua) who put me on another level now (special dedicate to juris and his tips for cryptos !).
Tech (MJ mostly), alguae and style (both).
A great opportunity to say you thanks again.
My aquariums are more good looking now, are more healthy (i stop cultivated to much alguae) and me and my fish (and shrimps) are way more happy.
5 stars guys !
@@hardouindenis9530 yeah same with me. my favs MD,MJ,Green Aqua n ADA
Please Collab.
The shot at 17:37 was beautiful! I loved how they went through the hardscape as a school! 😍
So glad you went with just the one species of tetra, you could easily have gone for maybe 8 specimens of 3 or 4 different species but a large group, 30+ of one species looks so much better, you get to see proper schooling/shoaling behaviour.
Damn, look all the green neon passing through at 17:39... what an amazing shot! Congratz
I love when they do that!
I still think there's nothing quite as exiting as releasing a bag full of little tetras into a big tank. Nice work with the scape. Looks marvellous.
Mushrooms are very common in paludariums, terrariums etc and its always a very good sign! Mushrooms are very picky and only grow if the environment is stable. They help reduce waste, so Im always happy to see them in my paludariums.
Plus they look super cool and its always a different type that pops up
you should add a bamboo shrimp!! that would be perfect to have a filter feeder in a biotope setup. great video as always man, keep it up!
the fact that u have some many variety of apistograma to choose from in your nearby fish farm is amazing to watch. i hardly get to see even a single variety of it in my city
those neon tetras are amazing! looks very natural
My favourite MJ build to date. It really looks like a riverbed and the water coloration adds to that authentic look. Love the choice of fish too, especially the school of tetras
By the way nice tank! Looks very natural! But one thing i would have done is scoop out those fish out of the bags and try to prevent any of the store water from mixing in with your tank water. Because sometimes they can bring bad stuff in your tank.
Bonjour ,
Effectivement , il ne les aclimate qu'à la température !!!
Pas de gouttes à gouttes pour les aider à changer d'eau ! Et pas d'epuisette pour les sortir de l'eau du magasin !
Étonnant de sa part !
😉😎
This never made any sense to me, what could the water possibly contain that is more harmful than what the actual fish carry?
@@oscarlindvall1053 It's not good to add the water from the bags as there will be a build-up of ammonia. It's just best practise to drain the bags into a net and add the fish that way.
one of the best looking aquariums ever
Very sophisticated choice of layout, plants and fish 👍🏻
This is the best schooling aquarium I've ever seen
It's been 35 years since I had an aquarium and technology has progressed so much since then. I had a 100x45x45 tank and I was great for a few years. Then I got blue algae that I could not get rid off no matter what I did (if only I knew what I know now) and stopped my hobby. Btw: mine had an Amazon theme too. Been following your channel now for a while and I'm really tempted to start again with this hobby.
This turned out amazing. The wooden scape is beautiful, intense and natural. The school of tetras are amazing! Great choice and they look so bright against the dark scape. Congratulations, one outstanding job and thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much!
i would love to see a 30min video just watching the fish doing their thing in this amazing aquarium with some relaxing music. (like the scene at 17:37) just beautiful to watch.
Beautiful low boy tank love how the hardscape comes up out of the water..
I would suggest adding a few L144a plecos. Everything looks really nice. Fantastic job.
Brave man, skipping the quarantine.
LEEESSSSS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 😀😀😀😀😀
I agree with large groups of just a few species. When I design a community, I think of top dwellers, mid tank dwellers, and bottom dwellers. So if you want another species, you might consider top dwellers, like killies or something. Beautiful tank in design and execution! And the mushrooms are great.
Or silver hatchets.
Love the fish choices, I don’t think you should add any more species in there except for some shrimp or snails maybe. The whole tank is stunning, I’m super jealous :)
it's an amazon tank, so shrimp are basically out of the question. There is hardly any on the market. Very hard to find. Dwarf Crayfish would look stunning in here, though!
The only interesting snails for an amazon tank are mystery snails, but those don't do well in rimless aquariums. Females tend to climb out in search of places to lay eggs, then fall to the floor. :(
@@CaptainDCap Too late, a shrimp must have hitched a ride. Check at 16:32, bottom left of the tank. Must have come in with the cory transplant.
Hi MJ
I was quite surprised by how many fish you have added to the shallow
Looks fantastic and a great choice i may add
Tank is stunning one of my favourites on any channel , looks more natural than most , the shadows from the wood the effect is dramatic, I was wondering if blackwater would get boring quick , but this is better than the last setup in the big shallow. Also I don’t think I would add more fish they have nice swim room and great shoaling behaviour .
A great aquascape and perfect fish for it.
Love the stocking!
Beautiful scape really eye pleasing setup... Amazing👍👍👍👍👍👍 and the species selection is absolutely correct ...... Amazing👍👍👍👍
Awesome fish selection. Amazing tank my friend!
Great choice with the green neons.
Love my school of tummy nose. They school so amazing.
Thats just one amazing Layout! Me personally…. I would have gone way stronger with the epiphyde plants such as ferns, orchidee and so forth..
But for a biotop composition I think its perfect 👌👌👌👌👌
Looks awesome! I have this combo of apistos in my 252l and the borellii breed like crazy. Looks like your hongslois are a trio, the females have a pink/orange patch on their tummy too once they settle and go bright yellow orange when breeding 🥰
I just noticed one hongsloi turning yellow already!
Wow that is a stunning tank!!! Love it!!
Perfect pick in every bag. So glad you went for the Borelli & Hongsloi🔥
The aquarium looks fantastic! I usually stock pretty light myself. I love the Pygmy cories though! My favorites.
Woow getting better and better 🤩🌱🌿🍀☘️
Looks great!
I hope your Apistogramma females wont struggle together.
It is good to get them on the same time, so that they can get used to each other.
Some L333 oder L260 would fit I think.
Green neons are one of my favorite fish, I have them in my South American community tank.
2 different type of cichlids ?
A brave man.
With something like that, my masterpiece should be some krib's but apisto are a great choice.
A 100% amazon tank
One of the most glowing fish that can be in your aquarium is Norman's Lampeye Killifish. It's awesome, please teke it in considering, good luck!
really love the neon and cory school together. it beats any big fish aquarium in my opinion 😀😀
Beautiful! Love your fish choices!
That's an amazing scape. Great choices for the fish too! I bet some bristlenose plecos would love the drift wood. Bet they would in there too!
Great fishes adding 👍🏻
Love this tank! It must be amazing to live with!
It really is!
And the whole scape just comes to life! Beautiful selection!
lovely tank.. a slice of amazonia in your room... please consider some pencilfishes for the upper levels, another smaller school of bit larger tetra like Lemons, Black Phantoms, Head and Tail Lights to offset the swarm of Green Neons. and maybe a small school of Adolfoi Corys
Yesss!!
So pleased you went with green neons, a big group like this looks so good, and the colour and iridescence of these beats any other tetra hands down. Love this aquarium.
I'm sad I will never be good at aquascaping like you these tanks are so good.
Don't say that! Just keep improving yourself! Everyone can do this! And honestly this aquascape is 80% quality materials and 20% skill
Awesome fish choices! So glad you got some apistos! I’ve had a male borellii such awesome fish the hongsloi look amazing as well! Also in my experience apistos are much more shy than rams but after a while they will get more comfortable and you’ll see them more often
wow! I really love this tank! you've done such an amazing job. It is a very interesting and relaxing aquascape to look at. I also love your stocking choices!
I'm glad you like it
Looks Amazing 👍
This scape is so much different to the old one. Very brave done. I really like it. 👍😊
Thank you very much!
Was waiting for this video for soo long.
I know they’re not geographically accurate, but those green neon rasbora of yours would look amazing in the big shallow with all of those tannins
They would look great indeed!
Maybe add a trio of copellas. With your overhanging plant leaves, maybe they'll spawn on the underside.
Definitely a cool fish!
MJ, great tank! I wouldn't add more fish. Seems borderline crowded as-is. Overall, I like the tank very much, though. 💦🐟👍
Some brightly coloured shrimp would look good.
Among all other things, the mushroom is dope :)
Yeah I like it as well 😊
hoped u'd put some assorted barbs in there, since the plant volume is pretty low underwater..green neons also work fine!
This scape is my favorite on CZcams at the moment, you out did yourself to say the least! Plus the little mushroom🍄
Awesome thanks so much!
12:24 Those fishes are super excited in their new home
damn that tank clean man
Wow, echt een meesterwerk deze bak, prima vis keuze, iets te veel Neon's naar mijn smaak maar al met al een sieraad in huis voor jaren kijkgenot, gefeliciteerd!
Id keep it as it is. Looks great and I guessed correctly on the green neons. Looks amazing
It has all come together perfectly; I bet you are very pleased 😊
Oh yes 😁
I heard that when the transparent plastic becomes tarnished, it can be repaired with WD 40 and rubbed. Or using warm air maybe a hair dryer will help. The aquarium looks amazing.
😮👌🏻
This looks fantastic! I was a little bit skeptical at first, but seeing how it turned out... wow, it's amazing! The way the emersed portion complements the shading areas at the bottom is just insane, so natural. Personally, I don't think there's need for more fish, but I would reduce the flow, just a little bit. Congratulations once again, I really love it 💚
Very cool it looks great. I like your choice for fish too. The only thing I would add is maybe 1 or a few dwarf plecos
Very nice 😍😍😍
wow, this looks amazing and who doesn't love neon tetras ;)
Great Selection of fish , this tank is in my top 3 for sure !
nice selection of fish although i do think its too many tetras, 15-25 would have been plenty
Beautiful setup! Loved the vid! Subbed
Thanks for the sub!
German breed electric blue Dwarf Acara chiclids would look amazing in there
Never mind perfect choice of cichlids 👌🏻
Amazing!
Dude…..I know you are proud from all your design work and build of this space. This was very cool watching it come together. It looks amazing 🤩 If you are looking for a new name for the tank…..”The River”
Thanks Thomas! Very proud of this one indeed! Definitely looks like a river right? 😎
Love everything about the tank! I am right now planning a tank with a big emerse area as well and took some nice inspiration from you. Also: will there be a blooper video where we see the floating plants disappearing into the skimmer? :D
The schools look next level swimming underneath that middle branch, into the darkness then out into the light again. I bet you sit watching them for hours! I would. I bought a shallow tank online to try and make similar to this, when it arrived I realised it was 36cm not 36inches, so not sure if the plan will work :D
Yeah I love when they do that!
Oh nice 😂 you can make a mini version of this one😂
@@MJAquascaping I have called it "The Mini Shallow" the hardscape is done!
Looks boss brother 👌🏼
Very nice choice! It will be heaven to the dwarf cichlids and tetras! Amazing setup! Keep up the updates! What will you feed the apistos?
Lots of live food! Thinking to setup a culture of grindal worms
@@MJAquascaping I have that in mind too (try grindal worms). I feed my cacatuoides mainly BBS and frozen Brine shrimp with spirulina. He is very picky, some time eat bug bites from fluval and discus granulat from sera. But once apistos get live food, it's very difficult to leave it. But the hunting beaver on eating live food is very interesting to watch
Man this turned so beautiful. Fish selection has been awesome
Glad you like it!
Very inspiring MJ! I think the stocking looks great, but if you did want to add more maybe some shrimp or other bottom dwelling species could go well 😊
Nice selection of fish. The scape is looking sick! Love it!👍
Thanks 👍
Awesome
Hi there, the tank looks beautiful. Great choice of fish. All light/bright colours which really stand out in a darker tank. You were wondering if you should add any more fish, how about some yellow neocaradina shrimp? They will also eat the white stuff off the wood. The fish shop you went to looks good, well stocked and clean 👌 Thanks for providing us with great video content 🤗 once again.
Yeah I was thinking of adding some shrimp! Not sure how I feel about yellow though 😁
Really outdone yourself this time, MJ! Just hands down your best build so far 👏👏👏
also right after you put those tiny corys in the 45p a few videos before, I instantly thought "good luck catching those" lol good job getting them out tho!
Nannostomus eques (Hockeystick Pencilfish) and Dicrossus filamentosus
(Lyretail Checkerboard Cichlid) are found in the same areas as the green neon and hongsloi so you could maybe add them. I would recommend adding more leaf litter as well the dicrossus and apistos like the leaf litter. Looks great.
I agree with this
nannostomus unifasciatus is another pencilfish you could use but they get a little bigger than the eques.
Definitely like this set up better, sooo nice 👍
Congratulations for the final result, the tank is really stunning! The cories and neon tetras schooling together are a show.
Some years ago I was to a live event with Ehiko Bleher and he said that we should always put fish and ideally plants from the same region in the same tank because they speak together the same language…
Nice video, great aquarium step up. I understand the theme you going for but i would add some yamato shrimp and few rabbit snail.
Def worth the wait. Looking great !
Hey mark, awsome setup mate,I can't lie I was Abit disappointed when you chose the green neons, but I have to say they look majic in this setup, congratulations it's an awsome stocking!!✌️👌👍
I love when green neons are scared lol .. well no, but I love the schooling behavior when they are scared
Super nice. Just sad that the in- and outflow from aquario only lasted one year. They are way to expensive (especially for basic pieces of plastic that probably costs less than 1,- to make) to buy new ones every year.
You already have a lot of fish in there, don't add more 😁👍 maybe just a few shrimp 🦐
Really great choice for stocking. I think this is enough fish. I think it would be possible to fit more, but then it might detract from the scale of the scape you've created. It really has all come together to look fantastic. Enjoy that tank. Take care.
