    Nothing but praise for this video. A presenter with a very relaxed and easy manner in front of the camera, excellent playing skills, and clearly a lot of knowledge and experience to back up his remarks. It's not an exaggeration to say that this video leaves me feeling inspired to get deeper into guitars and guitar playing.

    I've found so much value on this channel. Just picked up a 224 K deluxe. The Koa is so dreamy both in looks and sound. Have a Yamaha spruce top that is 27 years old which plays fantastic but the Koa adds a new tone to my collection. Can't wait for my friends to come jam!!

    My old Barber gave me some great advice, he said that you can't make a cheap guitar sound like the Radio, so buy the best guitar that you possibly can, so I bought a 410MA Taylor guitar and it is still sweet. That was 20 years ago. I had buyer's remorse until I started playing it.

I have to say Taylor is one of the most popular brands I’ve came upon with in durability, quality, & easily playable. You are one I trust! & love your reviews by the way.. It has been long weeks of research and I have finally made my decision on getting the 224. It was so difficult to decide on what guitar with what brand. What a good channel. What a good presenter. The folks at Alamo are down to earth guitar scholars. I recently purchased the Taylor Academic 12e. I cannot say enough good things about the guitar. I definitely prefer the Sitka Spruce and Layered Sapele over the Rosewood and Mahogany (personal preference, but I love how bright sapele sounds). You will not have buyer's remorse if you buy a Taylor. Be of good cheer everyone.

      I recommend Staying far away from Taylor lol I don't know what he's smokin, but Taylor's definitely ARE NOT the best bang for your buck lol you want bang for your buck, then the guitar you are going to want to get 100% of the time, which for the price points and supreme quality, simply CAN'T be beat, is a Yamaha. I have trouble even justifying buying any other brand priced under 5k

    The best way to find your guitar is go into a shop and play through them without looking at the price. If you hit a guitar that blows you away you've found what ist best for you. Then you can take it along or go home and save money until you can make your dream come true. If you don't find this guitar go to the next shop. And even the same models of the same brand sound different. So ordering a guitar without having played it doesn't make sense to me. My experience of 50 years playing guitars

      Mateus Bonissoni be careful when buying from a someone that’s not from a music store, really look over the guitar make sure you aren’t getting a fake version, that would blow.

    I have a Baby Taylor and find it has trouble staying in tune.

    • @AlamoMusic
      @AlamoMusic  Před 4 lety

      Hmmm do you take it out a lot? Have you changed the strings since you bought it? I also play a baby Taylor and it has been pretty consistent with me so far.

    • @dennism7191
      @dennism7191 Před 4 lety +1

      Alamo Music Center, string change will happen today. I am hoping that is it. It has not been played much but I have rekindled my desire to play and get better, so let’s see what happens.

    • @dennism7191
      @dennism7191 Před 4 lety +1

      Alamo Music Center-well I changed the strings but when low E is played in tune, playing the 3rd fret to get a G goes sharp. That happens on other strings too. I am not that well schooled in this stuff so I don’t know the fix

    • @AlamoMusic
      @AlamoMusic  Před 4 lety +1

      Hmm that is really weird. This may be a unique problem to your specific guitar. I would recommend giving the guitar to a friend who is an experienced guitarist to see if he can identify the problem. You can also take it to a music store. Really hope that helps best of luck.

    I love your videos I've been playing for 20 years and I always learn alot from your videos however, I wanna know why your wearing a Gretch guitar shirt while advertising a Taylor made guitar? Is this some kind of subliminal message?

      This beginner right here. Why? Because i played on a cheap, hard to play Ibanez dread and I wanted to quit shortly afterwards. Just bought the Taylor 10E (dread plus electronics) for $799 plus tax. Best investment ever. Great price on an amazing guitar!
