  • On 24th April, to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the horrific murder of much-loved TV broadcaster Jill Dando, UCL's Jill Dando Institute of Security and Crime Science (the JDI) held an event at the Royal Society on 24th April to remember her and celebrate her legacy. Hosted by her former broadcasting colleague and Chair of the JDI Board Nick Ross, nearly 200 people attended the event including Jill's family and close friends, and JDI staff, students and alumni. The mood was reflective and at times sombre, but there was also a sense of real pride in the achievements of the institute set up in her name. This recording includes tributes by her family, former colleagues, JDI staff, and UCL’s Provost Prof Michael Arthur.
