Mazda is on a bit of a roll in South Africa. Since splitting up with Ford nearly 2 years ago, sales have been climbing and customers seem to be happy.
The compact Mazda2 is selling well but does the top of the range automatic diesel version, the Hazumi, represent too much of a niche product? We spent a month with the car to find out.

Good to know that it has one of the better keyless systems around, though I'd still give the lock button a good press before moving away in light of remote jamming.

Just a note on the navigation: Hazumi is meant to come with it standard. You guys may have gotten one without the SD card. They forgot to put mine in when I picked up my (personal buy) Hazumi & it was not an extra R5k. The lower base models require the extra purchase. Hazumi comes with everything, hence the pricetag.

I have one of these and can confirm that the Nav (SD Card with maps loaded) is standard on the Hazumi model.

Wanted to say the same thing I might as well buy an SUV since I'm an SUV fan. The reason why I want something affordable is because I'm a new driver
