I think Fae without a doubt is one of Jamaica's cultural icons. She gives accurate information about Jamaica's cultural practices. As a 1960s baby who grew up in rural Jamaica, I can attest that she is on point with everything she describes about the cultural practices.
Boy Jamaica has the best foods, when I was a child and my mother make this all the plate we used to lick out.

Just love your presentation, love my people, enjoying the nostalgia. Lord please make a way from me so that I can return to my beautiful country because foreign is a rat race, too much pressures and certainly too cold. People of Jamaica, please cut the violence and people like me will return and invest massively so that our economy and country will be the best in the world.
Certain food needs to be prepared like bck n ths days so that the youngsters can learn ths rite way

Muhummmmmmmm lol
OMG that was not custard my mother was a G and i can do it properly by grating coconut and squeezing the juice then boiling it down til it leave real custard and coconut oil. To this oil and custard add the chopped seasonings then the salt mackerel and fry it down till the custard becomes slightly caremelised and is WICKED. Yours was floating in oil and didnt look appetising at all.

A so it must cook old time ppl used to eat it like that and healthy than them you can't find, and they lived long as well.
@@fishchicken4188 they were healthy because they work hardddd unlike us nowadays have office jobs etc.
Coconut oil is so good for the body. Now modern day world has “Bulletproof Coffee” where they actually add in the coconut oil for health. How blessed we are to have it organically used in our cuisine. ❤
it looks like too much coconut flavor. is it?
