Thank you. I do think the computer is the weak link in the generator setup. If that goes out you are going to have to search hard for another used one. I had the cursor go out and that was really difficult to find a replacement.
@@chrisschenck3106 I wonder if that generator could be controlled with an aftermarket computer (Arduino / Raspberry Pi etc) if the real parts weren't available.
I suspect its possible. I have thought that if my computer goes out and I cant find a replacement, I would look at a Deep Sea controller. It would be an experiment, but If I had to, that's the direction I would go. That way I wouldn't be starting from scratch on the programing. I have also seen a thread online where a guy converted his MEP 805B to mechanical gauges.

Any luck on a new screen? I have the same generator but my screen is almost completely black. It is too dim to read anything on it. I’m in Arizona. Any chance you know of a shop or any info that can help? Thank you for the video.
Hi, i have the same generator and im in Europe, can you help me reconfigure it for 240v for each phase? The manual says to "notify higher maintenance". I know i have to lift a switch behind the main interface, but i also think i have to reconfigure the terminal board 1. I would highly appreciate your help
I have the same generator and it does not output electricity from the contac to the three main lines
what is the reason
I've got the same generator for my fire dept. it only had 2.7 hours on it when I got it. My problem is it don't have power going to my fuel pump or the injector pump. Do you have any suggestions on what to do.
Are you able to get it to crank at all? Are you using the internal fuel tank or an auxiliary tank?

No, you would have to start it manually. I have heard there was an auto start kit that someone made but I don’t have any experience with it.

I see these generators for sale on govplanet.com quite frequently. Be sure to pay attention to the condition as you will be on your own as far as support goes.
I bought mep 805b and it was running great for a couple years but now computer detects no oil pressure I change the oil pressure sensor and still not working.
Can you help me identify the failure? I really like this generator

@@motox1592 sigo con el problema ya verifique y no le llega el voltaje que requiere el sensor, ya verifique que si lleguen los cables a la conexión para la tarjeta de control
I would start by confirming with a mechanical gauge that it does indeed have oil pressure.
@@chrisschenck3106 I did it all ready couldn’t solve the issue and I decided to rebuild it totally with a different system and it’s running perfectly
The voltage of my generator doesn't go above 130, even when I try many times. What can I do ?
Where are you seeing 130? Are you measuring that with a multimeter or is that from one of the pages? What does the page with the vertical green bars show for voltage when you start it up?
