Bradford is one fucked up place
I live in Bradford. In the outskirts in a small village called saltaire/baildon. It is amazing, it's full of rivers, woodland, walks, parks and cafes. We have a farmers markets every 4 weeks and I work in a pharmacy that's over 100 years old. My family home will 100 in 3 years! Bradford isnt just a small nasty city, its surrounded by amazing people who will help anyone, people who just want someone to talk too. A lot of people here are going through the worse times of their lives. So be kind to them. Would you want someone to be nice to you if they met you at the worst time in your life? It is a bad place with bad people, but there are ways out off the poverty, out of the crime and drug taking. Go to college, then to university, and laren something new you love!
That is unfortunately true. Bradford has seen seem nasty killers: crossbow cannibal, black panther, and the Yorkshire ripper... Don’t get it wrong though, Bradford has some really nice parts. Back in the day it was ‘the’ place to be and was even seen as a ‘posher’ city than Leeds. However it has unfortunately gone down the gutter over the years.

@@sierra9828 not because of the drugs, completely random. My fiance scared me into getting clean by saying if I died during withdrawals I would be trapped like that in my conscience for eternity, so at the least I think it was fates way of giving him the chance to fix things before the end.
I feel so bad for susan, she was literally trying to get off drugs so she can be there for her grandchildren.
Most of these women had just begun to turn their lives around when they were murdered, it's incredibly sad

love how eleanor talks about the victims, it really humanises them and make them not just a number in the killer's kill count... like susan, she was a mother, a grandmother, and a good person who is willing to change because she loved her family. And the way she talked about susan's addiction really shows that addiction isn't the addict's fault, and that's just really nice :)

Corruption.
Well:
1. In a missing persons case they’re not gonna arrest someone who could have information on someone. The missing persons become a priority. A drug dealer isn’t going to give you information about a missing person if they know they’re gonna get arrested afterwards.
2. Corruption, police genuinely don’t really care so much about drug dealers unless they’re becoming a serious threat. Police nowadays prioritise domestic disputes due to the fact they could lead to a murder. Not to mention a lot of police use drugs anyways LMAO.

My mum literally lived in the same flat building as the crossbow killer and she found out about him when she was travelling in Australia. She said she literally used to walk passed him in the corridor on a daily basis :/

Last year when I was just 16, I was walking down Thornton Road, and a man asked me if I as 'doing business'. I literally got mistaken for a sex worker wearning jeans and a huge puffy coat. Bradford is great.

Could you maybe cover the cases of Marc Dutroux, Julie van Espen and a family murder in the town Wijnegem? All three cases are from Belgium and they literally shook the whole country. They were all pretty big, even our neighbouring countries were following the cases closely.

From what I've seen on A&E "The First 48" when the police are investigating a murder or disappearance and have to talk to drug dealers about the case in order to get information they will tell the dealer "I'm not drug police I'm the murder police so I don't care about the drugs I just need information." Or something like that. So that's why they don't arrest them when investigating a murder or disappearance.
Imagine being so desperate to save your daughters life that you’re willing to lock her up at night to keep her from drugs… what an awful thing to have to experience.

my grandfather was interviewed at the time of the yorkshire ripper case because they were from the same area and had the same car model... so strange to see a picture of the real guy after he's told me that story so many times.
Loved how you slowly revealed what had happened and provide details of the victims so it's not all about the killer
As a recovering heroin addict who fell into this kind of life for a while, these ones always really get to me, makes it a lot more real for me.
Edit: when cops are focusing on one crime, esp murder/missing persons, they aren't going to waste time on drug dealers. Bigger fish to fry.

@@karenengelhardt1610 it's hard, i had to be forced out of the life. It took me getting arrested and spending 3 months in jail and another 3 months in rehab for me to be alright without it. And I got lucky that I was able to serve some of my time in rehab.

Jesus Christ this is one of the scariest cases I've seen you cover. Even without the suspense of not knowing exactly what happened (it was on tape) the lack of remorse this person had gives me chills. I have to commend you for the care you take in explaining her drug addiction. I'm a recovering addict, my story is diff than a lot, I had an abusive boyfriend who forced me into drugs. Just so people know that I'm not trying to make an excuse here, he would beat me till I passed out then administer heroin. Your body becomes dependant on opiates very quickly. Anyhoo, most addicts are not people who started partying for the sake of it, and just don't want to stop. Its a disease, and like most diseases is almost impossible to cure on your own. The way you explained her becoming addicted, her poverty, pressure, etc shows her care and respect. Thank you.❤
My “close to home” case is Todd Kholhepp. It all came out when I was in middle school and was about...5 mins away from my house. One of my teachers knew some of his early victims.

One time my family and I drove up from London to Bradford to visit someone. I remember the roads were so steep and hilly that I thought "gosh, this must be a lovely area." Literally 5 minutes later we all watched a group of 13-14 year old boys pants a police officer and were shocked.
Looking back it's actually quite funny but I don't think any of us plan to return any time soon

I am from Bradford and I've wanted you to cover this for a longtime. Its definitely has a bad reputation. Awesome video I enjoyed all the research you put into this. The scary part was I remember seeing him a few times he wore a long trench coat at times. He looked like a creepy intense guy. It blew my mind when this all came out it was scary stuff. I don' t know if you've covered it previously, but if not I think you should definitely look into the pizza bomber case. The case is really interesting and I have some personal ties to it. It happened in my hometown when I was a baby and my dad's old neighbor was one of the main suspects!

could you cover the case of the girl from the main? it's an unsolved case about an unknown girl who was found dead in germany, and i've seen near to no coverage on it, so i'd love to see you cover it and give your theories and opinions on what could've happened to her.
that would be good but very hard to make a video on seeing as it’s unsolved and also the girl is unknown so there is no background on her life
@@edaninho9761 i totally agree with you! but personally that's what i find so interesting when it comes to unsolved cases. although there is little known about that girl, there is a bunch of theories around what could've happened to here and about where she came from. for example, she was found with this type of scarf only found in afghanistan or pakistan, meaning this girl may be from there. this has led to people speculating whether she might've been sold. i've also seen some theories about how she might've been a servant in a politicians or a a mafioso's home and overheard something she shouldn't have, leading her to then to be killed. although there is very limited information about this girl and what happened to her, this has ultimately led to people coming up with so many interesting theories about what could've happened!
