I know I’ve mentioned this before. But by doing your UFO pick of the month has made me accountable. I have only finished two quilts but that’s two less taking up space. Plus I’ve been able to use them as gifts. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! For the idea.

So far so good! I just finished and delivered both my March and April projects delivered to the quilter and even had time today to finish a bonus project - a 3 yard quilt to do a little stash busting!
    Ready for May!!!!

I decided to join you in this. I have almost finished my March project. My quilt is all quilted. I need to do the binding. Then I can start on April!😊

I am still working on Feb's project! Hope I can catch up though. I just need to do a bit more quilting and bind the quilt. March's project was to stitch my quilted teddy bear head to my quilted teddy bear body so that won't take long. Then I have to make a bow tie or a scarf for him. I have been productive though making several Project Linus Quilts and some needle cases for our sales table. The trouble is the new stuff is always more exciting than the UFO's 🤣. Now I need to watch the video again because I've forgotten what this month's number is!

This is now the second year I'm doing monthly projects. I was terrible in 2023, but so far in 2024,i finished 2 projects. You inspire me. And I am also nervous when I draw numbers each month because some of the projects are biggies!! I do enjoy your videos.

The quilt for the “T” block is in the ‘Better Homes and Gardens American Patchwork & Quilting’ June 2024 edition. They did a beautiful job with their design.

Your bonus project blocks are so cute. I love that you found fabric that looks like a sugar cone. Also love that you picked project 4 - it's a super easy one for me. Maybe I can get it finished since I made zero progress on my March project.

There is a T-Block quilt on ebay right now. The way it is put together is interesting. Can't wait to see how yours turns out. I got a break this month; all I have to do is quilt my project, add binding, and a quilt label. Have a lot going on so that will likely be enough. Also, I decided to start the Celebrate the States quilt. Only have one block done, but it will definitely be fun. Love your videos!

I believe that is called the temperance block, if I am remembering correctly. They look pretty good!

Those T blocks represent the Temperance movement. When women I the US couldn’t vote, one way they expressed their political and social views was via their quilts. We see this in many quit blocks with political names like Whig Rose, Tippecanoe, Burgoyne Surrounded, and many, many more.
The Temperance movement was extremely important in the nineteenth and early-twentieth centuries. At one time the Women’s Christian Temperance Movement was the largest organization in the US. Women advocated to reduce the effects of alcohol on individuals and families.
A primary driver of women’s suffrage was that prohibition advocates believed women would vote for prohibition which, indeed, they did vote for. Oddly, the Temperance movement is largely forgotten today, and the various T quilt blocks are one of the few relics of an important episode in US history.

I think I saw something by Eleanor Burns that said it's T for temperance. They are usually put together in sets of four to create a square on point in the centre. Will be interesting to see which kind of layout you choose.

I was looking forward to seeing box no 10 as a finished topper, what happened. I have made the blocks and wanted to know how you put them together. Look forward to seeing your monthly vlog, you’ve certainly picked some difficult ones this year. 😂

I made a really labor intensive quilt out of civil war reproduction fabrics. The blocks weren't all the same size so I added thin strips of fabric to each block and trimmed them to six inches. The finished product was stunning. It looked like finely pieced sashing.

I didn't even touch my March/#2 project. I worked on finishing February/#6 and actually jumped ahead to work on #9 since they were in similar spots and it would be easy to flow between both. Am I bummed I didn't finish the designated project? Yes, but I also know that I was busy working on other projects and that is what is most important to me; making progress in any direction is better then none

Progress, not perfection. Love that you thought out of the block to restructure what you had for your March project to make it useable. I will keep that in mind for some 1930's blocks I have with the same problem. Ripping apart blocks would be a good travel project. ❤
