  • I wrote this song because I was tired of being judged by my different hats. I wrote this song because I was tired of judging others by theirs. I have listened to country music since I was a boy, and I’m humbled every day to have strength to be able to share my art with you all. Growing up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada we have a deep history of ranchers, cowboy’s, pioneers; First Nations indigenous peoples who were all living together when Calgary was in its first stages of development. Being surrounded by this rich, deep, loving and hard working cowboy culture in Calgary and somewhat preserved and reminisced with great rodeos such as The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth; The Calgary Stampede, has really crafted my experience around music. Being surrounded by Calgary’s history and a grandfather and grandmother that just loved music and played some instruments themselves and checking out The Stampede caravan breakfasts was a deep brand for sure. I would say all this and more, somewhat baptized my spirit into the genre of roots music. The Cowboy spirit is in all of us I truly like to believe. I really feel this song and I hope you can aswell. This is my latest song I wrote called “ Don’t judge me by my hat “
