Maybe I'll like it more after watching the first but I went to see Monster's University with people who hadn't seen the original and they were laughing all the way through and really loved it.

I saw this film with my little brother who's 7. He really liked it but I thought it was a bore myself. It's a good film for little kids though.

Having not seen the first film, I found the film to be pretty boring. I went into it expecting lots of laughter because everyone told me how funny the first was.
Halfway through I had to get the comedy idea out of my head and watch it more like a villain/romance film but with just that, it was very underwhelming.
I'm all for slapstick stuff that the minions do but it appears that when the writers couldn't think of what to write next they just threw in a minion scene. It was very hit or miss.
