Actually imo it fits the song pretty well like for the most popular interpretation of That song being that it’s about a toxic relationship, like to everyone outside it’s clear he’s unhappy and that’s she’s basically just using him but the song is from the perspective of the guy, to him even if he recognizes that she doesn’t love him and that he’s just a tool to satisfy her he chooses to ignore it for one of many reasons, either because he likes being in the position he’s in or because he honestly hasn’t felt happier with anyone else so to him a song about being treated like a cannibal’s snack is sunshine and rainbows
