My name is Tom, my wife’s name is Danette. I’ve been watching your videos for several months. My first Toyota was a 1989 4-Runner with the 3.0 V6. I never had any problems with it. I bought it with 125,000 miles on it. I was the third owner. I loved that truck. Then I wanted a new truck and bought me a 2003 Toyota Tacoma double cab. I bought it new in 2003. It had the 3.4 liter V6. I got married and bought a 2007 Toyota Tundra Crew Max. I still have it, it only has 107,000 miles on it. It is kept in the garage like all my other vehicles. I am a vehicle maintenance nut and like my cars and trucks to be clean. I live in Virginia. I knew you had to be a Christian. My wife and I are too. I know God will bless you because you listen to his word. Always be kind and helpful with love. I see your love for life and people. Always give God the praise and I see you do. Looking forward to more of your videos. God bless.

Thanks for your videos. I'm a recent subscriber. I'm a Toyota nut as well. First Toyota was a 2000 Celica GT. Totalled it :( Bought a Civic. And never again will I get another Honda. Bought a 2007 RAV4 Sport V6 FWD. After running 175k miles on it, bought a used 2009 RAV4 Sport V6 FWD. The 2GR-FE... they'll never know what hit them ;-) Drove it 235k miles and with the gas prices at astronomical prices here in the Bay Area, bought a used 2019 RAV4 Hybrid XSE (yes! 3 RAV4s in a row!)... and that's when I subscribed to this channel as I wanted learn to do some things to it on my own. I work at a Lexus dealership (in marketing), so I'm as much of a Toyota nut as you are. Fancy editing and effects isn't going to keep me here. It's your genuineness and knowledge and teaching them in easy terms that keeps me here. Thank you again.
Also... I'm a believer as well. Great way to witness to others! And I know, at times, it's hard being a Christian in a dealership environment. Peace to you, my brother.

I’m a little late to the game, but I’m from central Canada and my first Toyota was a Corolla. I bought my first Japanese car a few years before that (03 Civic) but mostly had American vehicles prior to that (a couple South Korean too.) I only used the civic around the yard and within a couple miles from home. I was super impressed with the build quality. Then I bought the wife a 2006 Corolla CE. She fell in love with it. So much that I sold my car and bought myself a 2010 Corolla XRS with a 5 speed. Beautiful car, but it had that one of very few engines Toyota made that was a flop (because of the piston rings.) That 2.4L also was super thirsty. I sold it an bought a 2014 Corolla S with the 1.8L and a six speed. Best car I’ve ever had!

I'm from and still am in Wisconsin. After a six year stint in the military, I went to MMI and certified in Harley-Davidson training, and spent seven years in a Harley Dealership, earning Master technician status, before going independent. I learned to love little hatchbacks, and wore out three Civics in a row. Honda quit building what I consider proper hatchbacks, so I bought a Pontiac Vibe. Than another. And another. My kids are owning and buying them. The Corolla driveline is a breeze to work on, reliable as white on rice, parts are cheap and plentiful. I couldn't convince my boy to buy one, so we found an '02 Avalon for $1500 for him... That's our first legit Toyota. No regrets. Wishing you fame, fortune, good health and happiness.

My 2nd car was my first Toyota, a brand new 2005 (E12 facelift) Corolla HB 5 Door 1.4 VVT-i.
I had a crash at 120km/h on the highway (not my fault) and the car protected me, my sister and aunt. With 31000km and 1.5 years the repair was more then the car value. Got everyone around me to convert to TOYOTA and into HSD. Finally after 14 years I'm back with a 2017 Toyota Auris TS HSD (Corolla E18).
My wife first own car is a 2008 Yaris HB 5 Door D4D (Diesel).

I'm originally from China, been here for 40+ years and consider myself an American, as this is the life I know. My very first Toyota was a 1989 Camry. It was not the best car with not great memories as I was ripped off by the dealership that sold the car to me. It was my first new car and I was really taken advantage of from the buying experience. I also had a 1997 4runner that really did make me happy to be a Toyota owner. I became a true Toyota fan after purchasing my first 2008 Prius in 2011. I was fascinated by the technology on that car. I went on to buy many more Prius cars and became somewhat of an expert with them. I'm a big contributor to the Priuschat forum, sharing my knowledge to help others who are in need of help with their Prius cars. It's a very rewarding feeling when you get to help someone. I now have upgraded to a Rav4 Hybrid, Honda S2000, Subaru BRZ, and a 2020 Toyota Supra. I will always be a true Toyota fan and this channel has helped me in understanding why Toyota is such a great company. From their great products, great support, and their great employees. Hats off to you sir for being such a great and helpful person in this community.

Congratulations. I am from San Juan, Puerto Rico, so very impressed that you and your wife understand and speak my language. I am a Civil Engineer and enjoy cars. I also play drums and my son is a professional bass player and an electronics technician. My first Toyota was a 1969 Corona bought in January 7, 1970 as a gift from my parents while I was in my second year of engineering at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus. My Toyota Corona was stolen in 1974, found by the police four days later. I had it until it was stolen again in 1977. My second Toyota was a 1983 Corolla SR5 Coupe, 1.6L engine and 5-Speed transmission. I bought it on May 1983 and sold it in January 1988. My third Toyota was a 1986 Camry LE which I bought in September 1985. I sold it in 1995. I bought a 1997 Camry LE in May 1997 and sold it in August 2013. I bought a 2000 Camry CE in August 1999 and sold it after and accident in September 2000. I bought another 2000 Camry CE in March 2001 and sold it in Mach 2014. In June 2001 I bought a 2001 Corolla CE for my daughter, she sold it in August 2013 and bought a 2013 RAV4 LE which she still has. I bought my present 2014 Toyota Camry LE in December 2013. I bought a 2013 Toyota RAV4 LE in August 2013 and gave it to my son in May 2018 when I bought another 2018 RAV4 LE for my wife. I enjoy car maintenance including replacing air filters, oil and filter every 3,000 - 5,000 miles and/or 6 months. I have replaced A/C compressors, evaporators, etc., radiators, timing belts, alternators, starters, water pumps, brake pads, rotors and shoes, McPherson struts and other suspension components. Although I like to learn about auto mechanics as much as I can, I do realize that there are shop equipment, tools, knowledge and training that is required to diagnose and solve car issues. So, at present I take my cars to the shop of a mechanic that used to work at the Toyota dealer. I always insist on genuine Toyota, AISIN or Denso parts. Your videos are excellent for the technical content as well as the reasoning involved in the presentation. Even the aspects regarding warranty and/or extended warranty are very well presented. I am grateful to be one of your CZcams subscriber. Thanks for your advice and your help to all of us. KEEP THE EXCELLENT WORK!

I loved cars to the point that when Toyota opened the Toyota Motor Philippines Technical Institute, I enrolled in their two year automotive technician program that includes eight months on the job training at a local Toyota dealership. Like you I’m also a Christian and so is my wife. My daily drive now is a Toyota Prius Alpha, Prius V in the USA. I love watching your videos and learn a lot. Hi there my friend... I m responding to your video's for the first time, just to give you congrats for a serious work that you're doing through these video's.
I m from Athens Greece, and my first ride as a driver was on a Toyota Corolla 1,2 lt 1969, which was our first family car.
After some years I got my first car of my own, a Honda CIVIC 1,2lt 1976 ( a used one ). Both cars did more than 150.000 miles with no issues at all.
During the next 40 years I 've owned quite a lot cars ( Italian, French, GBs and mainly from Germany ).
Unfortunately none of them were so reliable as the Corolla and the CIVIC.
Of course so know that cars are getting less reliable as they get more and more complicated.
Any way after all these years I 've decided and I 've ordered some days ago the new 11 th generation CIVIC e: hev.
I m so excited to go for this car after 10 generations and check by myself, how far the car has come, and if its still reliable as my first one was. Thanks for all you do for all of us..Dino

Amd, It is an honor to have immigrants like you in our country. Thank you for your efforts in getting your knowledge and technical expertise to the world. I live outside of the KC KS area and the first Toyota that I drove was a 1979 Celica GT hatchback that my father owned. (My father also owned a '82 Supra, '83 Celica GT and an early '80's Toyota stakebed truck). My first Toyota that I owned was a 1988 Corolla FX. Unfortunately, I sold that car and went astray for many years from Toyota. However, after driving a rental Camry on a long road trip a couple of years ago, I decided to rejoin the Toyota family by buying a 2019 Camry LE and have never looked back! In fact, my wife loves my car so much, that she is trading her Equinox for a '21 RAV4 XLE (that we currently have on order).
May God continue to bless you and your family and many thanks again!

Well Done & Congratulations Sir Nut! I am from North Central Arizona. A loyal Toyota owner since 1973, I purchased (ie financed) my first ride, a brand spanking new STD Transmission Corolla for the vast sum of $2600 sweating through a $50 minimum monthly payment until she was payed off. Regrettaby, she was destroyed in a lighting strike that both hit the car while severing a limb from a tree which as bad luck would have it, struck the car as well adding insult to the whole affair. Found & subscribed to your channel about a year ago while while rearching my latest purchases, a Highlander for the wife and another Tacoma to replace the previous '83 STD transmission Tacoma which I loved. As a result dad returned the favour by handing over his run about. That was a Toyota Corona wagon which was my first car. I was in love. I drove it around the country and spent many nights even sleeping in it. I didn’t exactly treat it gently and neither did my brother who inherited it. My dad was a Ford man but my family knew deep down Japanese was the way to go. Love Toyota’s engineering and will always have at least one in the family. I have now a Mercedes CLS 350 CDI Coupé (Common Rail Diesel Injection) C218 (1 week ago I reversed the car in Estonian Pärnu and I did hit Taxi Merc (W212) bumper. Both bumpers were little inside and had small scratches. I paid 300€/$ to the Taxi driver and he was happy. My bumper popped out while driving to Finland, so no big harm) I have had also E220 Diesel (W210) without Turbo, with manual tranny, and without AC (which were "very nice" on the German, Austrian, Swiss, Liechtenstein, and Italian alps) Needed to change gears down every uphill like mixing eggs. C220 CDI (S202), 2 different S320 CDI (W220) (One had MAF problems in Finland when we came back from Ukraine), 2 different S320 CDI (W221) (One had problems with air suspension when we went to Ukraine. I broke the hydraulic part when I was driving to a pothole on the motorway but it did brake totally some 4000km or 2490 miles later back in Finland), CLS350 CDI (Common Rail Diesel Injection) Shooting brake (X218) (Totaled in Poland Suwalki. Audi A4 came from left but I managed to drive to Finland). All were diesel Mercs. Like my uncle said in the 70s for me, "Markku buy only diesel Marcedes Benzs never gasoline." I just came to look at how Toyotas are made and repaired because Scotty Kilmer always praises Toyota.

First time changing the time belt in my own garage, and it took me 6 hours to complete the timing belt job. I was proud of myself even for 6 hours cause I was being cautioned. For the same Camry, I installed a remote start. I did everything myself in that Camry. Now, my wife and I own 2019 Camry and 2021 Highlander. I play table tennis on my off days. I am just like you that being thankful for U.S give immigrant opportunity when you are work hard. I like to hear when you are talking about under the hood. Honored to join with others to celebrate you life and accomplishments. My first Toyota was a 1978 Toyota Supra, black on black. I bought it from a friend in 1980--he used to change cars a lot--and sold it in December 1990.
I then marched down to my local dealership and bought a 1991 Toyota Cressida, Super White w/gray leather and moonroof delete for $21,750. It remains my favorite car of alltime. It had that perfect 3.0-litre straight six 7M-GE 3.0 16-valve inline-6 engine producing 190 hp and 185 lb⋅ft of torque. It was Jaguar type stuff without the Jaguar mechanical horror show and Toyota quality...and incredible dealer mechanics. Too boot, I also had a 7-year Geico extended warranty that I paid $300 for.
I really loved that Cressida and it was rock-solid reliable. It finally gave up the ghost at 234,000 miles with a blown head gasket, something that they were known for. I considered having it repaired, but I weighed the pros & cons. It didn't have airbags, which I considered a non-negotiable. must-have feature. I listed it on Craigslist for "Best Offer" and phone calls flooded in. There was actually a bidding war. I ended up selling my 20-year-old Toyota Cressida with 234,000 miles for $9,600 to a Jamaican mechanic, who turbocharged it to some crazy HP. He still has it to this day.
I ended up buying a brand-new SAAB 9-5 for $18,000...yes, brand-new. GM had discontinued SAAB during the 2008 recession and they had a leftover that they were selling for a song. It stickered at $38,000.
It's 2023 and the SAAB 9-5 is still my daily driver at 130,000 miles. Since new it has cost me $5,300, which includes all parts, labor, preventative maintenance, fluids, tires, exhaust and suspension. It has never broken down or stranded me.
That said, nothing will ever beat my 1991 Toyota Cressida. To me it was the perfect car. We all have that one car love...the Cressida was it. As for my next car, it will be a Toyota or Lexus.
