  • In this video, I use Silhouette software to create a beginner friendly rhinestone template. After cutting out the template with my Cricut Maker, I brush in the rhinestones, pick them up with hotfix tape, and add them to a t-shirt.

    Hi? I love watching your videos and have learned so much from you and also a few of your crafting friends. I made a rhinestone design that I believe is original in Silhouette Studio Business edition and would like to list for sale on Etsy. I have never sold anything before and have been looking for a tutorial on how to upload the design to make it good to download and there isn't anything anywhere that I can find. Any tips on where I can get that information?

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  Před rokem

      Do you also have Cricut Design Space? If so, I would open it in Cricut DS and see how it opens to make sure it would be good for Silhouette and Cricut. If you do not have Cricut, then maybe you could find a couple of people who you could send it to in order to see how it opens in Cricut DS. Good luck with your new venture!

      I have seen some people do that. I haven't done it and the stones don't come off, but I don't see an issue with it if you are more comfortable doing it that way. I buy my stones through a Buy In and the instructions on the stones don't talk about doing that. Thanks for watching!

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  Před 6 měsíci

      When you design it in Silhouette, make a note of the file dimensions. When you open it in Cricut, resize the design to the size it was in Silhouette. Then it will cut correctly.

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  Před měsícem

      The hole size should be .130 to .135 inches. I use .130 which is the default in Silhouette. After you make your design, take note of the overall size of the entire design so that when you take the design into Cricut Design Space, you can check to see if it came in correctly. If it did not, you can resize it in Cricut back to the correct size.

    Hello, I'm new to the silhouette machine. Can you tell me what programs you are using to create this?

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  Před rokem

      I use Silhouette Business edition to make my rhinestone templates. If you cut with a Silhouette, you can actually use a version that is a bit less than the Silhouette. I think it is called Designer edition, but I'm not for sure. I don't own a Silhouette, so I need the business edition b/c that is the only one that saves the designs as SVG files.
