I know what you mean , Grade I did both sides with and without you can't beat natural wood.. I made a backgammon board with Oak and Walnut that was fun..
When you added the poly did it distort the the quality or color of the resin in anyway? I’m not sure but I felt like I saw some white streaking that wasn’t there before you polyied the boarder.
I haven’t tried one of these before. If I’m planning on a certain size for my squares, do I also need to account for the width of the blade for my cuts? I’m sorry if that is a total newb question. I just don’t want to waste wood by not planning. Thanks!
Why not glue a dark and light cube together rather then gluing the same wood and recut it, didn’t make any sense what you said about different grain as you can achieve the same thing with different coloured cubes.
IMPRESSIVE and BEAUTIFUL work!!!!
Very nice each side completely different good job
Very very good.Great job!

Some nice resin chess pieces with that board would be awesome!!

First “like” No idea why that’s so satisfying....
I know what you mean , and that you..
With such a nice chess board it is now obvious that you need a better set of chess pieces to match the board.
Falta los numeros y las letras en el trablero
Why didn't you cut the angle under 45 degree ?

I need to be cut to make it 100% Square even the added glue would put it out of square after all the joints
Manor Wood got you 👍
damn i think he ruined it.
?? what don't you like.. I see one side O natural.. lol
For me you ruined a good piece of work with the epoxy resin
The gray resin looks like shit.
