- Today we journey way up north to Down East Maine to visit with and metal detect with my old friend Capt'n Billy of Jonesport. Our friend Thor joins up with us later in the day and then things get wild. I hope you tag along for a little Down East Maine adventure.
About Aquachigger:
I enjoy metal detecting for historical items like gold coins, relics, silver coins, and other buried treasures. I also metal detect for gold and silver nuggets and even meteorites. I like to make videos that promote my choice of lifestyle that includes outdoor adventure,
metal detecting, yapping, searching for river treasure, SCUBA diving, exploring abandoned places, hiking, caving, caring for animals and pets, and observing the things outdoors that often go unnoticed by most people who are not familiar with outdoor adventures and nature. I keep my CZcams "Aquachigger" channel family-friendly and hope you subscribe if you like my style.
BTW, you can also catch me here, / chiggsarmy ,but I may get a little edgier there. FB isn't a place for kids anyway...lol.

Remember Capt'n Billy and Thor? If not, you are in for a treat. This is the first of a series of videos I recently made when I traveled up to Jonesport Maine to visit with my friends. I hop you enjoy!
I've been wondering when they'd make a showing. 😁
@Leann I was wondering the same about you. ;)
There is a lotta history in Maine. I love it. Lived here all my life.
I love to hear their accent. Cap'tn Billy and Thor. 😊
@Aquachigger 🙂 not all who wander are lost... although, at times, it can feel so.
Such a nice treat getting to see Capt’n Billy again your videos with him are always so much fun
Glad to hear you enjoy.
Nothing better than 41 minutes of Capt. Billy!👍👍
Most people don't realize that the original state of Massachusetts in colonial times stretched from the northern border of Rhode Island and Connecticut all the way up into what is now Vermont,New Hampshire and Maine
I've been watching your videos for like 4 years or more now and today I finally bought a metal detector. Can't wait to use it.
happy spring capt'n Billy !! its the good old days again !! some more !!
I love your videos with Capt. Billy!
Me too!
Be safe Chigg and GOD BLESS
You were taking alot of medicine there, Chigg. They laughter is like good medicine which does the body good.
Happy Easter Chigg
To you as well.
Today's episode Chigg finds the old roof flashing.
So good to have another video here in Maine with Cap. Billy and Thor
you beat me to it.
Ive been dying to see new capt billy episodes!! And its a long one! Makes my heart go pitter pat
Thanks for taking us along, Capt'n Billy and Thor are pistols. Thanks for the video.
I agree with Capt Billy’s comment about finding that old Massachusetts stuff in Maine. Maine was actually part of Massachusetts back in history… so yes you would like to find something that goes back to that era
These are the absolute best. I love Capt. Billy!
YEAY! You're back with Cap'n Billy & Thoren!! Excellent ! - Muddypaw 🐾
When Cap'n Billy is along I end up laughing like a madman.
oh boy Capem Billy my favorite. BRAND SPANKER....❤
Happy Easter everyone from Syracuse NY
And to you as well.
Thank you brother
Thanks Chigg for another great AQUACHIGGER ADVENTURE
Thanks Chigg!! Always a hoot with the Cap!! Your mix of History, anecdotes, humor, and personal knowledge is why we all watch!!
You guys are great together! 😊
I lived in Washington county for about 14 years, nice to see you get up there! I have often wondered about the metal detecting opportunities in that area, people have lived there for 1000s of years, all of the houses are pretty dang old. As to the "well" in that field, hay fields in that area often have very high water tables and in the spring, as the snow melts, the water table can simply be the surface of the ground. That well maybe only 2 or 3 ft deep because the water table is so high.
Yep, you're probably right. I think a farm animal might die in it if it fell in though.
Yes they lose alot of short legged horses in them ol' wells. Mmmmhmm.
beau, i gotta say you inspired me to finally purchase a detector. not expensive by any means but i found a 1900 Indian head penny alongside my house!
I Love it when you guys are together!
Great video!!! Thank you and Happy Easter.
I love Chiggs and Cap'n BILLY
Always enjoy u 3 together. Full of mysteries and laughs
Love your videos ,especially the long ones ,keep up the good work .
Nice to see Captain Billy 👏 👍
Yes. 1
When Chig say Ohh Bottle. I picture a dog with the caption Squirrel!
The large brass cap with the lens looks like the objective portion of an old fashioned large format camera.
Thanks Chigg great to see Capt. Billy and Thor
It's like butta! BILL IS AWESOME! 😂
That was fun. I have to say I love the song you play at the end! I know the words and I love singing it. See ya next time Chigg..
Chigg,
It’s so awesome 😎 to see you in your element doing what you absolutely love to do! Maybe someday we’ll bump into each other in a field or creek!!! 🤣🤣🤣happy hunting brother!
Great to see the captn. Again
Love these Downeast journeys!
Wow, you’re gonna find all that man. I am excited to see you there. Good luck.👍
Them two lads were so funny. I had a good laugh. Thanks chigg.
I live in northern Maine and been watching the chig for a long time makes me happy.
You guys had way too much fun digging in the dirt😄
Yay!! Glad to see capt billy! I’m from Maine also :)
At the 6:57 mark that brassy glass lens "thingy" looks to be an "inspection window" for an oil reservoir for a tractor. It was used to show the level of oil within a crankcase or something.
That is my guess anyway.
I have a similar "window" on my new Kubota MX-5400.
I’m just over here waiting to hear an “ohmyneenit”! Love it when you come out this way! I’m just outside of concord mass and really enjoy the history here.
Love to see those guys again 😊❤👍🏽
A 4'x8' sheet of copper is 300+ dollars now.
What was the cost for a sheet before the country was stolen in 2020? Just curious. I don't know the answer.
That cap with the lens looks like a way to see how much fluid (oil) in a motor. A sight glass.
We freakin love Cap’n Billy and Thor! It’s good to see them again, they’re so full of crap, it’s fun even watching y’all dig junk together! Can’t wait to see the next one.
Make sure your stop at Helen’s for a meal. We have always enjoyed it
I miss Maine.
That washer find was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time! I love you guys!
Capt'n Billy and Thor always crack me up! Those guys seem like a ton of fun.
Love ur vids and learning new things ! Thank you and keep em coming u rock!!
i love that Billy!
I found a old Spring Box in a swampy area outback. The water is clear and wicked sandy. I have a feeling something is in it. "DownEast Maine"
The New England in Capt. Billy and Thor are good for the soul. Behave fellas.
That's what I do with my scrap lead pour sinkers Happy Easter
Enjoy your visit to Jonesport, leave some good stuff in the ground for when I get up there! We've got a place in town but we wait until the snow is really gone.
Yeah, it was too cold yet for me up there.
Nice... can't wait to watch. I gota go means it's digable.warm today happy holiday
Is it HUMAN?! Greetings from the UK Chigg o/ Any plans to grace our shores again any time soon? :)
Hopefully again this summer. Just waiting on the word.
If you came up Rt 1 to get there you went right by us, hi from Wiscassett
I love to hear Cap’n Billy speak with his far northeast accent. Thanks Chig.
That Canadian cent is awesome ..
The brass thing with the lens is part of the cover to an oval tobacco box, also used to carry flint and steel. The lens is used to start a fire with the sun.
Cap'n Billy and Thoren!! My favorite Mainers! I did well when I was up there last spring
Probably a piece of what left of a Handheld Spyglass
As always you take us along on another great adventure thank you 👍
GOOD TOO SEE YOU BACK WHITH OLD FRIENDS TURNING INTO A WELL TRAVELLED SHOW ,THANKS 😅.
Nice place, enjoyed the video
Love your videos with Capt'n Billy!
So good to see Captain Billy and Thor again. They are both a hoot! That Prime Rib dinner looks amazing. Not sure what the crispy things are but they look good too. 11:06 Home Made Shingles. 25:26 looks like the back to a decorative Bell Push.
Hey Chigg good to see you back with Cap'N Billy and Thor! You make great treasure hunting chemistry! Hi Cap'N Billy !!
I love when you go up with those mainiacs
OMG Finally! I love these guys so much and I wish you could detect with them every single episode. And THOR - GRATZ on the 62 regiment British belt plate back in April last year.
Looks like fun!
Always a great time seeing you hang out with Capt'n Billy and friends! Lots of fun! Looking forward to the upcoming uploads or downloads or whatever they are called. Happy Easter, fella's!
Swing by this trip Beau.
I ll bring you to the original Brettuns village in Livermore. I promise you will love it
Tell Captain Billy we love him.
It was nice meeting him last summer ❤❤❤❤
Great video brother so much iron and trash to hunt threw if your ever up around let me know I got a few spots keep on doing you brother
I grew up nearby. Absolutely beautiful area. I hope you get a chance to drive to Eastport .
A clam dinner sounds good! I've never had one that came with a big hunk of beef though. Thanks for the smiles!
That Ford piece was a center cap from a Model T wheel...1920s. I found one last month.
Hey chigg, how's it going? Glad to see you with your friends. Their a couple of characters.
great finds enjoyed the video😊
Great place to visit..shyt place to live..

WOW, I have not seen a video from you in a very long time! I am subscribed to you and clicked the bell, but never get notifications. strange. But Im glad to see you are still around! I will be watching all your vids!
Happy Easter!
Same to you!
Thank God, Capn' Billy!!!
Those wells are worrying! Lacking safeguards indeed! Careful, gentlemen !
Good to see you Billy !
Hey to Captain Billy
Did the Cap’n explain why he wants to find stuff from Mass and not Maine? Maine became a state in 1820 and was part of Mass before that..
Exactly. Much of what we find was lost in Massachusetts but is now in Maine.
@@aquachigger right. Up where I live in Maine you don’t find much later than 1890-1900. 😩
Does Capt Billy have his own CZcams channel? If he doesn't he should! He's a riot!😅
Coins from the frozen north get a pass in GA. too. We love our northern brethren...mostly.
It could have been an old sheep watering hole, the machias region was a big sheep farming region during the 1800s. Many were not capped.
HAPPY EASTER CANDY 60% off DAY CHIG!!!
Awesome !!!😊😊😊
Does your Friday find go to a cigarette tin? It had a magnifying glass to light cigarettes, now they use them in the bushcraft for fire starter kits.
