- Phew this one took a while to pull together! This video is the 4th in my series on the history of Casio and covers both their digital watches and analog watches between the years 2000-2009. Highlights along the way are the WMP-1 MP3 player watch, the WQV wrist camera series, various iterations of wave captor - including the Antman , the Mission Impossible 3 watch - watches that do magic tricks for you (the MGC-10) , polygon tough , active dial , tough movement , Oceanus and all sorts of colours and materials - with the highlight for being being the G-7800 square - and possibly the speed pass collaboration - so cool! (I bought one... whoops). . Some real diamonds amongst the rough so I hope you enjoy the video.

Casios are unique, they created a total different categories, so not only technical innovation but also marketing/product wise.
I know - there are so many different aspects to their history that it’s a topic I keep coming back to.

If you have a WQV camera-watch, do NOT lose the rubber O-ring that's used to hold the battery cover firmly. Seeing this vdeo reminded me of a friend's Casio camera-watch, and he lost the battery cover O-ring. I can still remember in 2003 going to the Casio Service Centre on the North Circular Road in London. replacement not available t, even after they enquired with Casio HQ in Tokyo.
Oh dear that’s not good. That is such a little piece of history. I didn’t know casio had a service centre in the UK. Assume not there anymore?

Admittedly, I haven't had a new Casio watch since probably the '80s or early '90s. I had Timex ones since then, but I'm about to remedy that in short order with an A700W-1ACF (it looks so stunning and vintage I couldn't resists) and probably a new F-91W. Cheers.
Ha ha yes it’s in the list. These Casio videos are the ones that take the longest so need to pick the right week to dive in. I’m a fan of Timex and Casio - so much fun to be had with digitals.
