I'm glad they actually considered the 5kg spools for this. No sense in having something this big without the capacity for giant spools.
2.85mm filament might also be the way to go for something like this
@@fotisxevgenis yeah thats a good point. Like if your 3d printing a chair and going to sand it down after who cares about layer lines
@@emberthesunbrobut 1.75 is more available as its consumer level diameter
We obviously all need to start calling this the GigaGoo
Googigagagagigo
Whoever that woman is that allows 3D printers in the living room I want to meet her.
BRB asking my wife her thoughts
@@MrBertstarehow'd it go
@@RiverTripleSeven He was never seen again...
@@RiverTripleSeven it went well, she said well "you had 6 printers and are down to 3 so as long as it fits in the game room get one". I tried to convince her it would be great in the "formal dining room" which for the record has never had a table let alone a meal served in it! but she said "no it will be to noisy." pretty fair point
I’m right here ❤
This printer looks amazing, but its trailer is incredibly ridiculous. Without a doubt, this printer will be perfect for printing in a luxurious living room. Right in the middle of the living room. Printing colorful poops, used as decoration.
lol :D
I was thinking the same!
Love how the kid got a halo universe grade battleship in exchange for their airplane. I should use that use case when trying to pitch my wife on turning our living room into a print room. Thanks Elegoo!
and with a dog running around, that is absolutely NOT going to chase the printhead or knock the parts off the printbed🤣
It's like telling a cat _"do NOT chase the laser pointer"_ ...
It has to go in the living room. No other place in the house has enough space for it.
Love how that woman keeps a giant 3d printer in her living room. True legend
I was shocked actually when I saw how big this actually was! Awesome stuff elegoo! The 4 extruder thing is pretty cool too. Can't wait to see some reviews
I appreciate that the tiny cute fluffy puppy is named Diesel. Well done!
the name comes already with the 3d model haha, the credits are in the description
Just a fore-warning, a larger print volume usually entails larger prints. Larger prints means longer print times, and longer print times means more time for drafts and other, worse possibilities to affect the print. If youre doing something larger than 100mm³, and especially if it's going to take longer than 1~2hrs, an enclosure is almost mandatory, even with PLA.
Yeah of course this is amazing
And if the motors arn't close loop, you can expect layer shifting.
If it's truly $1300 on kickstarter I'm getting one! I'll MAKE the space to put it in!
Just be like the people depicted in the video.... plonk it down right in the middle of your living room. Who needs a TV when you can sit on your couch and watch this thing crank out a gigantic model over the course of a couple days? lol
Owner of a high performance 500x500x500mm printer here.
It will be slow, I mean SLOOOOW, because there are some very questionable design choices there.
Those puny corner brackets alone won't have a chance to hold it together at accelerations higher than 500 mm/s^2.
And for a printer of those dimensions, 50 mm^3/s volumetric flow is mediocre. It would take forever to print anything large, especially with the small acceleration and probably atrocious corner velocity.
@@war4peace1979 that and it's not COREXY, so the speed isn't anything that will come out of it.
@@OneHappyCrazyPerson I mean, it's essentially a CoreXY. The bed doesn't move up and down, but it's also not a bedslinger since the bed doesn't move at all. The gantry does all the moving instead. Could work well, but still don't see this being something someone would plonk in the middle of their living room. 🤣
@@theElemDragon maybe read in, it's the same like ender 5 no corexy just cartesian
You had me with the Stargate spaceship 😂
Why does elegoo need the kickstarter platform?
I want one. I don't have a use for it, but I want one.
If I had that giant 3d printer, I could print my own projects.
Wanna bet they'll ship it with a .4 mm nozzle? 😂
hahahaha. as always
🤣always
We are waiting for the price of the printer. And a few days later for a lower price, faster printing equivalent from Anycubic :) which declared Neptune 3 max - its product Kobra 2 max, which is faster and cheaper to purchase.
Definitely keeping an eye on this one, would be easy to make an enclosure via plexiglass or high temperature plastics. Hopefully it will handle petg or abs projects nicely. Please keep us updated.
ABS? Why not ASA?
As big as this, the room is the enclosure
@@vhateg ASA lol why not carbon fiber 👍 I hope Bambu Lab is looking at this and realizing people want large format 3d printer for a reasonable price.
Yeah you would just need a space heater to keep the chamber consistent
Awesome ! The trailer is a bit too much though, we make it seem like printers are luxury props nowadays. Albeit i'm quite concerned with the speed claims as it's not a coreXY, thoughts ?
I want that for Christmas ya'll. I'll figure out why New Year's Eve!😊
would be perfect to make eco friendly molds
The best part of this very mid advertisement is the dad replacing his kids bi-plane with a Full Size Totally-Not-A-Thunderhawk that would cost more than the printer itself
Hin breaking that kids toy got me howling lol
And the noise of a small aircraft engine in your living room for a solid 23 hour print run! :D
BIG REP and Modix Big just got competition
thank god. those printers are waaaay too expensive.
All the demos are using 1kg spools. Part of this introduction should have showed a multi material unit or gigantic 5kg spools.
Looks good.
What about a housing and heated build volume?
Ok, yeah, I’m just going to need this in my life.
Printer looks interesting and I definitely do not have the space for this unless I do exactly what she did and put it in the middle of the living room, lol. Also not a big fan of it being on kickstarter as I don't think Elegoo needs it.
Kickstarter is used for projects so out of the norm for regular companies it makes sense. This clearly isn't geared towards the home 3d print enthusiast, so to gauge interest they put it on KS to see how much of a market it can possibly reach. Now how the KS campaign is defined on what happens if it doesn't meet its goal is also important to know. jeez I just realized it starts at $1,250 that's cheap for the volume.
3d printers aren't safe to run in work / living environments they create nasty air quality issues. take proper precautions.
actually such a good idea at this point with all the people wanting to make huge prints
How is this project doing, Are prints failing a lot of not much or... it's not for sale on Elegoo yet. Did you guys receive the Kickstarter or is this still going on? (14-08-2024)
The wait for mine is killing me
0:27 - So what happened? did the print fail so we smash cut to a render then to the dude with a completed cleaned model?
Express something of what this actually does in the video maybe?
look, that would have probably took atleast 3 days to print dont think they would film it all for that long. and even if it failed it happens to everybody and every printer.
@@user-uc7sg9ed7x This is what time lapses are for, also if you're trying to sell a product, expressing the product doing the thing should be at the forefront of basically everything.
I can go find some random dude posting his seven day prints but these guys can't timelapse a complete print for the first of anything posted pertaining to this product?
They can't take the time and effort to dial in and share a complete print for the sake of the ad to launch the product? I put the time and effort into getting a good complete print when I get a new filament, this is a whole damn product launch. Just as failures are a part of FDM printing, mitigating them and tuning settings to reduce their likelihood is arguably an even larger aspect of it, or used to be before everyone just bought a Bamboo and hit "go".
I'm honestly not even convinced a single model featured here was actually done on the printer being sold at this point. 😂
Granted, the ad firm came to them with this terrible ad for launch, and they approved it; so there doesn't seem much concern paid on that front remotely.
What the Effing Eff??! I need this beast!
that's one hell of a printer . I thought it was $1300 0n Kickstarter after that $2500
The $2500 is a fantasy. Elegoo has never sold a printer at full price. They inflate the cost and then put everything on sale permanently.
hopefully they added some sort of genuine auto bed levelling to it like a pressure sensitive nozzle. levelling a 800x800mm build plate will be a pain in the butt and the failed prints will work out very expensive at this scale
You mean leveling 4 400x400 build plates!
@@willow5204 yer sod that. be spending $500 a year on filaments for failed prints to go in the trash
Super !
Good entry into the market, but the marketing video is well... I hope you didn't pay this agency much. Why not show a max volume print? All these prints are pretty tame compared with the volume possible, you didn't even show off the #1 use for these things: helmets for nerds.
Why didn't your agency know about helmets for nerds? Do you even market research?
I absolutely love this. Hate i just bought a new printer so i'll have to wait a bit to get this one. But im so excited
About time someone made a big printer at fair price. But we need bigger. We need a 1meter version, a 1.42meter version and a 2 meter version. Those are the most important. Then maybe some elongated ones like 1x1x2meters tall. And 1.42x1.42x3 meters. And a horizontal car sized one at 2x5x2 meters. And a boat sized one at 4x10x4meters
Wow you can now print from a blueprint on paper 😁 no sd cards anymore
I want to see the 4 printheads in action (not animation)..what is the cable track doing? Also I hope they are loadcell leveled direct extruders.
Looks like 4 tool heads printing sync only, so no tool changer...
@@marcelzuidwijk my guess is that they don't know yet how they will do it anyways. It's just an animation. 4 heads need dedicated leveling. Would be a pita to do that manually.
They also don't show how they would supply the 4 toolheads with one cable chain. Ist just a mockup.
@@heavyweather yeah probably right about that. I was hyped, but to be honest, I cant make space for it (without sacrificing other printers) ;-) We'll see...
should've named this the Elegoo Jupiter instead, big printer volume with the big planet name
they have a jupiter, a 3d resin printer.
Hopefully with Autoleveling :)
PLEASE SHIPP TO GERMANY!!!!!!!! i hope this machine is reliable the hotend and extruder should never break.
Hello friend, this machine will be available on our website about Jan 2024. Germany is included in the shipping area.
Do you have any plans to ship to Korea?? There will be a lot of demand!
Sold. Just tell me when I can preorder.
1:19 no more stl ! Just insert paper sketch! 😂😂
Can u make orange storm giga smaller size, good if 500x500 or 400x400 build volume, because i love the design and of course this is core xy printer more stable printing
Can you guys please bring out a cnc router
Elegoo really pumping them out 👀 I bought a max 3 and a pro 4 and they released the max 4 straight away now this 😅 I can't keep up
Where's the optional enclosure?
WOW looks goods! I was waitting for a machine like this!
Now filament companies just need to start making 50lb spools. Lol
And suddenly the Neptune 3 / 4 MAX looks very, very small.
I am wondering if the multi printheads can print 1 model in multicolour.
Most likely, but you won't get the full bed width. The left most print head cannot travel all the way to the right side, for instance. The same is true for any multi extruder printer, so the extra size here would still allow for much larger prints.
I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE!
what filaments cant it run ? can i upgrade it to the 3mm filament and use a 1.2 nozzle ? :)
a 3D printer and somewhere to keep the rugrats contained when I'm busy!
Say hello to print times of a week😂
Kobra 2 Giga when?
I'll definitely put one in the bathroom❤
Really cool, but why not enclosed?;-)
Add another 1 to 2 k on that 🤣
Buy some foambard insulation sheets and make one
This is ridiculous, and amazing, and I love it!
It needs a motorized spoolholder for 10kg spools with a filament buffer. :D
Man puts it in his underground secret batcave. Meanwhile woman puts it in the center of the living room....
@elegoo can you print the ball thing at full build volume
Bro imagine crawling on your printer to get a benchy 😂
Whats the RRP?
LooL ... paper 2 print 😂😂😂
Wow, this is insane, I could literally use this thing as a play pen for my son if I just enclosed it lol
They're not gonna give you a free printer bud, nobody trusts you anymore.
Very nice trailer
Notice the fact multiple nozzles are CGI only
Getting this!
I buy in the dream 😂
0,4mm nozzle!?...1Kg Spoolholder?
i fullsize print in 1 week, what can go wrong :)
Large format 3d printers should have pellet extruders.
Can the 4 nozzels be used all on the same object instead of on separate items?
Would be cool to use like a 0.8 nozzle for bulky parts of a model and then switch to a 0.4 for details
Bigrep killer 😂😂😂
Very interesting machine
I need one!
Cool, but it's too orange. 🙂 I'm waiting for the Neptune 4 Pro Max, with steel rails and rollers. That's more my size, but there are definitely people who can use a printer with these capabilities - model shops, prop departments, serious cosplay enthusiasts, and as shown in the video, architects. There are probably ten times as many users in really weird specialty fields that would be difficult for most of us to imagine. 3D printing dissolvable forms for carbon fiber car parts, etc.
Hell yes!!🙌
Nice to see Elegoo doing a Core XY printer and klipper one too that is huge as well?
But like me most users it is way too big to have at home. and pricey too.
I really think they should do a printer like this BUT with say a bed size of 500 mm by 500 mm by height of 500 mm that would be very popular
and compete with the Creality T500 which has those sizes of printable area. and cost so much better for us to afford.
So very nice but too big and costly for most of us. I am sure the youtuber printing channels will love it, they be get it for nothing so lucky them.
I have the Neptune 3 Max and a nice printer, But I wish I had known Elegoo was bringing out the Neptune 4 Max soon after which has the two features mine did not have I wished to have?
the klipper control and the all metal hot end of 300 C which was the tow things I had asked them about for my printer and was told the all metal hot end of 300 C I wished to fit was not supported.
Now I am fighting with a BTT Pad 7 klipper system to try to use it to klipper up my Neptune 3 Max.
it is very hard since there is no real klipper files available yet. and the few there is are not what I need?
it isnt core xy
Elegoo rocks
Sweet it even made the zip-ties on that poly sphere!!! 🙄
Wowww🎉🎉
I like it but I'm confused on why there needs to be a kickstarter for this? People have built their own larger machines before and at minimal pricing and there are already large(er) machines out now. There are faster machines out now. Other machines have 7in screens. 5kg rolls can be used on any decent machine already. Cable trays/tracks get put in even the cheapest printers. So what is new and revolutionary here? Multiple print heads? That's it? Idk. I'm just not sold on this one.
@1:54 I refuse to believe that dog is actually called Diesel. He doesn't look like a Diesel. He looks like a Coco. Or a Buttercup.
How is it going to level the gantry? This is all smoke and mirrors at this point in time. Elegoo, build one, show it printing.
Can we get one that's 1/4 the size?
Basically a Neptune 4 ?
Like in Simpson - Just shut up and take my money !!!!
ELEGOO you are the Best !!!
It's Fry from Futurama that says "Shut up and take my money"
Nice Elegoo! I would love to get one of your printers.
im curious, how much will this thing cost
$1300
The video started with an ad for the Bambu X1 🤣
Maybe you shouldn't monetize your own ads ...
Would like to see you all scale this down some to compete against the Bambu, K1, Qidi etc. Smaller version of this with the cheaper price would really compete against them big time.
Probably the play.
3 max. they already sell that.
@@VD-cc4hx I know that. I was referring to a core xy printer not a bed slinger.
Dammm gotta sell my outdated large scale printers now lol
Elegoo 4 series printers are very inaccurate at printing. The prints have much higher mm error than Elegoo 3 series. This is why I ended up going for Bambu lab instead of Elegoo
😀
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
you have to print a benchy
Keep the dog away from the gantry, or bye-bye Diesel.
that printer is nice without a doubt. but this commercial. this guy is scribbling something on his paper at his desk picking his paper up and walking over to his klipper touch screen like he would just print what he scribbled on to his paper. what is that :D
Maybe the printer has an AI that converts scribbles into 3d models. 😜
