  • Home Made Biltong:
    - Inflation has been raging for the last 2 years.
    - Going to the shops is no longer a 40-50dollar
    - Most likely 70- 100 dollar

    Biltong is:
    - Great Snack for Carnivores can eat any time
    How I make Biltong:
    1. Go to Meat Market / or Butcher and source Top Side or Silverside Cuts.
    1. In australia can source for AUD $12 - $20 / kg (7.8USD - 12.4USD)
    2. = 3.5USD/LB or 5.6USD/LB
    2. Cut it into Strips Along the Grain
    1. Cut 1 Inch Thick
    2. Optional - Get the Butcher to do it
    3. Soak in Vinegar
    1. Kills bacteria or mould
    2. Adds some flavour
    4. Add Spices
    1. Salt
    2. Pepper
    3. Corriander seeds rough crushed
    4. Ratio 1/1/6
    5. Chilly if your into it
    6. I will be moving to a Salt online mix for Carnivore Friendly
    5. Dry the Meat
    1. Put it into a Biltong Box
    2. Mine is a plasitic box with a fan and incandecent light bulb
    3. Wait for 5-7 days depending on the weather
    6. Enjoy
    1. Remember to keep refrigerated in airtight container

      Was a gift I got about 10 years ago but the same type can be found online. Search for biltong box
