Yes, August is Florida is as bad is February in the deep north, it just opposite - hot instead of cold. And, it is true, "it is not the heat, it is the humidity" so we need air conditioning to reduce the humidity.

Yep.. grew up in Mi… and where we might stay in during the bitter cold.. there’s like a month here that we don’t do as much outside or at least not smack in the middle of the day outside… but it’s beautiful in the winter too. Even the water at the islands is just hot water… doesn’t cool u off.

You need to come sailing in a southern Australian summer. 40 degrees C and next to no humidity. The air is hot and dry (and the beer icy cold). When you get too hot you just jump overboard and the water is cool.

And the water probably isn't like a hot tub, which is how it is here in August.. we just got caught in storms yesterday... will be in the next video.

@@AdventuresInParadise thank you and very interesting. I'm born and raised in Pennsylvania came here about 3 years ago, stayed here through the covid mess. I got married here last year and just waiting on my wife's visa so we can go back to the USA together (should be in the next month or so, God willing). My house is still there. I'm semi retired. Have a catering business in PA for the last 30 years and going to resume that now that things are getting back to normal there. My plan is to work 6 or 7 months of the year (during the nice weather up north) and sail the rest of the year. Really enjoy your channel and I'm looking forward to learning how to sail when we get back. Problem for us is Pennsylvania is not really close to any beaches or marinas. I've got to figure a way that we can learn how to sail. I've wanted to do it all my life but was always working.
