That realness is part of the charm. As someone that doesn't cook it can seem impossible but knowing that even the badass Claire has to work the problem make me feel better. We know she will get it but watching her have meltdowns and sad piano moments makes it accessible and real!

@@JonahLoeb I feel the producers/directors put too much pressure on Claire to make her recreations look as close to the original as possible, like in the hot pockets episode when she straight nailed it the first time but they made her redo it because it wasn't "the right shape"

this is why i really love these episodes. you cant compare them to buzzfeed's tasty bc of the amount of science people put into this (instead of just trying many attempts and wasting so much food in the process) you can really see the amount of brains that go into this (and simply not just winging it)

And bon appetite doesn’t waste food? They obviously put science behind it they just have a different style which means they don’t show it on camera. Claire made like 10 attempts will 9 out of those ten being wasted.
This was the most fun "Claire makes" to date and that is saying a lot. Brad's kindness and willingness to help are always fun to watch and he seems to be the one that nails the key elements that must be included in whatever it is Claire is recreating.. I just really enjoy watching the two of them together.
Sadly she just left BA so this might be the last time we see her making something like this

I don't know what you don't understand? The other chefs on BA get their names in the title. Claire has been here for a long time and makes great videos, and she just gets referred to as "Pastry Chef" in these types of videos but we all know it's Claire.
