VW T4 loose mirror repair

This video will help you to understand why your mirror has fallen off and why it won't snap back into place like it usually does. It will show you how to fix the problem. But you will need delicate hands as it is difficult to get the old mirror glass off!

Thank you! This is just what i was looking for, before trying it myself.. looks like that spring is a hard one to pull... Will try to keep it, but have a replacement ready just in case..

Did you just rehook the springs or is the tightening you did around 2:00 the tightening of the spring?

I think the screw at 2 mins just releases the backplate from the cowling.
