I feel like democrats that complain about not having influence or power need to try to fill some of these open government positions. Obviously not in the cabinet itself, but there are hundreds of unfilled highly influential positions in government the moment.
I get why no one wants to work for this administration and devote their loyalty to this president, but now is actually the most crucial time to be involved. This is not the time to abandon ship. The best way to enact change is from the inside - to just be there and represent the values that you believe in. I think we need more participation instead of doing this running comedic gag for another 3 years.
A. It's not my job to sort out this government, I was just providing a suggestion for a potential way forward. To suggest that it is a random citizen's responsibility to sort things out from the top down is not tenable.
B. Not necessarily democrats. I'm saying we need to keep our options open. Left-leaning, independents, anyone that sees that this current situation is not sustainable and wants to enact change. The majority of the US does not agree with this man's policies, we need those passionate people representing us.
Appointed positions do not require you to be a Republican, they require skill, allegiance to this country and loyalty toward the president and white house.
