My grandma watches Fox News...my dad almost had a mental breakdown when we had to stay at her house for a week. he tried to turn on NBC nightly news once and my grandma went into a full on trump rally speech about how NBC spreads “fake news” and how “they’re a bunch of losers”. Needless to say my dad and I spent all of our time away from the living room.

Growing up, I would've told anyone that I was a staunch conservative and proud of it! Because I grew up in South Carolina- all I ever saw on tvs was Fox, and the only friends I had on Facebook, or in person, were all Republicans, so I never heard any opposing views. I was told that nothing Obama ever had to say was worth listening to, and I believed it, because I heard it 24/7. However, when I graduated college, I decided to join Peace Corps. I gained a lot of liberal friends, and on facebook one night, I saw a video of a talk Obama was giving. I almost scrolled right past, because I had believed what I had heard- that nothing he said was worth listening to. However, I decided- just for laughs- to listen. A minute in, I wasn't laughing. I was shocked, because I realized what he was saying actually made sense. I've now learned to question almost everything I hear from that side, and pretty much never watch Fox News. More people need to hear a different message.

I don't know how it is in the US but at least in Europe chances are that normal media and news are more reliable than some dodgy blog.
I am Kenyan never been interested in American politics but American politics has so far replaced TV shows and movies that I watch primarily comedy shows. Didn't even know about fox News till I watched the daily show.
