I think the biggest thing we gained from the Tillman and Springer trades is a mental toughness boost.
Exactly these guys bring in toughness and dog mentality on both ends of the floor though springer night not play as much but by the looks of it I can see it happening more then we think

With Tillman, yes, but Springer is a 21 year old that probably won't play, so I don't think that's gonna factor into anything significantly.

Our bench went from decent to amazing.

It got better, idk about amazing considering Kornet is still there.
Wouldn’t say amazing but defensively they are definitely elite allows us to now be more flexible on that end of the floor assuming we are healthy.

@@stockman1514 I know folks make fun of him, but Kornet would be in rotation on every team in the league, except the Pacers and the Raptors, simply bc those teams play at such pace. He's putting in 5/4 with an assist and a block, every game, in 15 minutes, on 70% shooting. He screens well, he's play good interior defense, and he hustles. If Tillman pushes him to the fourth big off the bench? That's insanely deep.

Don't be stupid. THE NBA IS 100% CONTRACT-DRIVEN. No coach, EVER, has any input into playing time. The top 7 contracts get 70% of the playing time and 95% of premium playing time.
The Player's Union CBA DICTATES EVERYTHING.
The only power a coach has it to allocate non-premium playing time among non-premium players.

The Banton experience was short but not great. I really like the defensive replacement in Springer. I don’t see much playing time but he could prove useful when we need a few minutes for White or Jrue when we’re facing a talented front court. I never really liked when Joe played White for extended minutes.

I'm definitely impressed with thief pick ups. We saw all driving gto the hoop here which is great but how's his shooting. We know CS love their 3s
Guy won’t see too much of the ball. Play D, cut, dunk. Doesn’t have blinkers on though and got a decent draw and dish.
The speed and defense on this guy if he can continue playing like that on this celtics team we be killing teams

Probably won't play much for the C's but nice to have that energy guy off the bench for when it's needed.
This guy is def going to give the bench a boost. Dudes a beast. Springer and X are going to give much needed support to Pritchard, Hauser, Horford, and Kornett. We got Queta too. Like that we finally have some good bigs to defend against Embid and Antetokumpo.

He's a bulldog with enough size with high motor & energy (just wish if Pritchard is 3 inches taller) & more ready at NBA level D & schemes than the 3rd stringers on the Celtics to provide defensive insurance to White & Holiday. Obviously there are other players better but costly to trade for and considering cultural fit & buyout market coming, let's see what else Brad has up his sleeves.

@@tylerriley2587yeah buddy isn’t going to help them either. He’s also a free agent immediately when the season is over. He’s a big negative defensively, and his shooting percentages are down across the board. They traded basically for a guy to purely shoot for just half a season

Another brilliant move by Stevens. Springer and X plays hard and physical. Intrigued how versatile our bench is, shooting and toughness with PP, sam, brisset, X and springer. Springer can let Holiday get some rest and X will let horford/KP be fresh come playoffs
White , Holiday and Springer all three play pretty good Defense at 6.4

Guys, I guarantee Brad and his front office burst out laughing when Philly accepted this trade. In his interview, Brad literally said “Frankly some teams just value players differently.” That is literally what someone says in the group chat after they scam some sucker in their fantasy league. 😂
On another note, Philly is actually so dumb. Why would you give up on and trade a player who is 21 with a ton of potential to a team who has been sharting all over you in the playoffs in recent history.

Seems like a good fringe pickup for potential. I don't understand this move by the 76ers since the '24 draft class is weak and he's probably better than what they could get this year, but glad they made it!

Hmm. We basically traded Springer for Banton. Not really sure how I feel about that. I *think* it's an upgrade of sorts, with Springer being three years younger, but I'm not going to lie and pretend that a three and a half minute highlight reel gives me a significant idea of the guy's worth. We'll see.

we are really going deep in to the playoffs without a reliable shot creating bench scorer. doesn't make any sense.
We always have brown or Tatum playing alongside the bench. Sam has been iffy recently from three, but that's a anomaly. The main problem with our bench is defense. Our bench always lets us down on that end because of kornet or Neemias. Tilllman off the bat is a upgrade and provides good help defense. Now if we have Jaden, we can run the fastbreak better off of steals.

i like it i dont love it. the kid has potential but i mean lonnie walker was right there saddiq bey was right there and they both bring some offense. but who knows springer can prove me wrong

We're known to develop young kids to shoot. JB couldn't shoot coming out. Dwhite improved big time with us as well. U can't teach playing defense.

@spicy5766 Our roster was bad at the time when we had to throw them to the wolves. Guys like him and walsh won't be needed to play a lot of minutes, and his role will be defense and hustle. His 21 years old, still very young.
