That's the problem. Mazzulla is brain dead and plays his starters into the ground and does not give bench guys consistent minutes to get their feet under them. Yes, that's understandable for players 11-15 maybe, but Mazzulla does it to the closer rotation guys. Just look at the improvement this season for Pritchard and Hauser when they played regularly. Many Celtic fans fear Mazzulla is our biggest impediment to winning a title. I don't understand why Brad Stevens kept the guy on as head coach a second season.
Springer is definitely built different. That dude has freak athleticism! I pray he gets to log a lot of regular season minutes so his game is refined for the playoffs
He has potential, needs minutes. Nick is a great developmental coach and I think if they get a year or two with him to work on his offensive game he would be a future guy next to Maxey. His defense is already top tier so if he can get to 15 to 17 a game ppg with that type of defense. Thats all you need from him.

Jaden is why the Caruso trade would be redundant. Giving up assets for a guy like Caruso is nuts. Alex is basically just a slightly better version of Melton with less athleticism. Morey needs to go out and get a ball handler who can create and also score at every level. Bojan Bogdanovic.. Bogie also has a team option next year so it still gives us flexibility. Caruso is locked in for next year as well.

I believe his Defense and athleticism will earn him some rotational minutes. He has better size than Pritchard and a tenacious style of play. Pritchard is a much better knock down shooter...but gets picked on in the post by bigger guards. It will be interesting...

He does so much more stuff on offense than Matisse (didn't even mention his passing which is kind of nifty) that it's almost an unfair comp.

Don’t go and slander him without the proper details. Doc loved playing the bench, but all he could muster when rubbing his two braincells together was to play a full bench squad with 0 veteran/starter caliber players. His goal was always to give his starters some rest but because the bench squad was so badly designed they would immediately start losing and within 30seconds to 1minute embiid would already be sent back into the game. His gameplan was to essentially put 4 superstars on the floor and have them fight over one ball, instead of just spreading their minutes out so they wouldn’t overlap eachother too much. Nurse by contrast basically only plays the bench in garbage time when they are winning and want to do some load management on the starters. Instead he plays whoever is looking good on the day and has a good matchup against the current opponent, and this includes playing bench players.
@@WARnTEA Maxey was on the bench when we had Ben we didn’t know he was a star caliber player cuz dude only got 12 to 15 mins cuz Doc wanted to play Ben can’t get a bucket for 32 mins a game he kept Ben in during that playoff lost to Atlanta cuz he had no trust in a bench player when little did we know Maxey we was better that that mf Doc had vets that wouldn’t start on no ther team in the league in the starting lineup started scrubs like Danny Green and PJ Tucker knowing damn well they belonged on the bench wit the young guys then they might’ve actually been able to produce sum consistent buckets for us we had buckets on the bench he jus dont call no plays for mfs he jus depended on the stars to be the stars and get the job done so when the bench got in he was fucked

I've been a starter for the past year."
Romp the Sixers need Lavine. The celtics are our biggest opponent and they can shut down embiid and maxey but if we throw in Lavine it's a pick your poison situation.
I agree, but he didn't always get those blocks from behind and he got beat quite often. Springer gets blocks and keeps his man in front of him. Springer also seems a bit more coordinated and smarter offensively, and he seems like he will eventually have a consistent 3 at some point. I still think Matisse is good, I just think Springer is better
You have to get him minutes, the rest of the bench is bad, hes the only guy with the potential change that. If you're playing korkmaz and house jr over this guy, you know you they are and they both suck, Springer could be solid.
