Use shock grenades when enemies or bosses glow red. It's a get out of jail free card for anyone who is struggling with parrying or dodging.

Fun fact:you can stack ur gear like for speed increase gear, u can use 4 x attack speed😄

@@JorRaptor Yeah using that and beta chain skill you can interrupt mobs/bosses. A quick one is "heavy, light , light , heavy". There's a channel which does no damage bosses with this technique
@@ChibiBlasphem my way of playing the game is with 4 attack speed and beta spine with the defense spine for second to interrupt easier. It is sick, almost feels like Platinium game.
Charged combo finishers (by holding triangle) glow red and restore burst energy. Pair this with overdrive and you get as much burst as you want at the cost of beta
At new game+ add 4 attack speed chips to Eve. You can combine them with spine for perfect parry and something else of your choice. This build will lower the animation locks by around 50% (end of new game plus 62%, making it extremely easy to strike good combos without compromizing your defense at the same time.
Does anyone else notice a storm approaching after using tempest?
Running away from enemies and making them get trapped in the scenery or doorways is a viable option!

Exactly. The game is so well paced and just makes sense. If you like exploring and going off the beaten path, you are rewarded and progression is so satisfying!

I got 2 specific questions that the game won't explain by itself the 2nd one might be a SPOILER for those who want to avoid it, dw I will put it further down so that anyone could avoid it.
1st q: where do we exactly see what level a combo attack is? The Chain-Type Exospine at max lvl says, that it increases crit rate of combo attacks level 4 or higher. I assume that its in the name of the attacks in the skill tree but then again I don't think that "4 or higher" phrase is a mistake from the devs and there is no move with a V aka 5 at the end so Im confused how to check for the level of a combo
2nd question (Spoiler) :
When u start New Game+ u obtain the gear and Exospines with better stats. Protection-Type Exospine Mk2 also says something about increasing the level of protection increases the max Shield but yet again where the hell do we check that 😅

Believe it or not, there is actually a stat screen with all the numbers. During the gear change menu, or just equipment menu in general, press Square.

Is it me or is hitting O + Triangle at combo finishers a bit wonky?
Also anyone know why when doing perfect dodge sometimes i hold square and the follow up attack doesn’t happen?
Also is there a way to change R1 to be L1!?
The follow up is a charge attack like the final attack combo that you charge up and cosumes beta energy. If you dont have energy the follow up wont happen.
@@jeje4131 ohhhhhhh i didnt know this. thought it was unlimited. Waaah consumes beta energy, BUT ITS A COMBO HAHa. Only on the dessert area so
ive been having the same problem i think its the timing after you dodge or parry sometimes O + Triangle combo works and sometimes it doesnt for me i feel like the timing is key tho i gotta experiment more
The O+triangle is hard for me to pull off as well!

I was surpassed when I got to the part of the game that felt like I was playing Resident Evil. That wasn’t expected.
i hoping get a very hard mode in new game+! eve moves list way better than cloud in ff7 rebirth! may be she got a gun of all trades! you can do lots of things!
I just beat the game last night and the last 3 bosses the difficulty shoots through the roof idk if it’s because I’m playing the game wrong or because I skipped some side content but man felt like I was out of my depth. Thank god for tachy mode

You have and hair stylist in Xion, you need to do a quest in wastelands to unlock it :)
I became a parry god in Sekiro and Lies of P but I cannot get the timing for this game's goddam parry. It has like slightly more startup frames than the other games.
yeah, I noticed this too. Coming from sekiro. Sometimes you need to parry a little bit earlier and additionally if you are in the middle of a combo, you are kind of stuck in animations and can't spontaneously parry. You don't have this behavior in sekiro because there are no real combos and you can break it anytime with a last second parry that will work.
Freaking input timing and animation is just total bullshit, sometime it works most time it doesn't!
this game is beyond my expectation and not self ambitious as other so called money grabbing studios. worth the money and enjoyed it so far.

yeah there are tutorials for every new mechanic introduced and you can even go back to those tutorials in the main menu under "manual"
it's super lineare you will be fine and our tips should help

@@JorRaptoryes you are you showed past the first 5 regions. I’m going for the platinum and there were enemies and bosses I haven’t seen yet after the first point of no return.
@@keithwells2552 There's only 2 bosses considered "spoiler" as it would really "spoil" the story for the players. For all others the appearence they have is not a spoiler (in this case the only bosses after point of no return that are shown are Democrawler and Karakuri which even the names doesn't say anything on the story lol)

@@hashiraknbx do you mean the 3rd? Because Tachy is the second Alpha and I still don't have that slot unlocked
Tachy mode is unfortunately very underwhelming. The damage while in Tachy mode is very low. I find that I actually kill enemies faster outside of Tachy mode. It definitely needs a massive damage boost, because in its current state I see no benefit to even using Tachy mode.
I think it's pretty balanced as is. It's a get out of jail free card because you don't take any damage while in the mode.
I have mastered playing with one hand!!

I cant get off Xion. These side missions are cringing and it has me falling asleep, or has me giving up for hours at a time.
But the main missions and fighting in this game is freaking awesome. Especially the outfits in this game.

I like the music. But I really hate hearing it over and over and over, lol. I almost wanna turn it off. Kinda wish the gameplay background music from Horizon Forbidden West was in this. That walking around music was sick. But the music in this is like me popping in a cd💿 and jamming out to chic music, lol.
Glad I bought this game though. I really like it and I went with the Deluxe Edition.
Don’t go out of your way to do the side missions. You’re meant to just grab them here and there while you are naturally exploring or doing your main quest. They aren’t going anywhere until you depart for the final area of the game. A lot of the side quests are side character centric and likely there to give a sense of life to Xion. No need to condemn yourself to grinding them out.
@artOVtrolling I'll have to remember to do it that way because I do grind all side missions first. I think I do that because of other games I would beat and then have a ton of missions left.
Oh for the music you can turn it of then use the music icon at the ps menu bar it will let you play spotify as background if you have it installed on ps5. Thats what i do when doing some long grinds in any game haha
@Bananercat I might have to do that, lol. I used to do that when free roaming as Miles Morales in Spider-Man Miles Morales and just go swinging around to my own music.

Collect Drone Upgrade items and then upgrade your Drone at a certain party of the main story. Then you'll be able to unlock other ammunition.

This game lacks optimisation. the input lag is atrocious! Where blink works almost every time, repulse is a 50/50 dice roll every single time. the combat is similar to Jedi Survivor but there you can parry attacks coming form any direction, here if you get surrounded, you basically dead! There should be at least some sort of Gears of War system telling where the attack is coming from. Dare I say a mob of minion Naytibas is far more difficult than the bosses!
I finished Stellar Blade last night. I completely agree about the input lag. It is quite bad, but the whole game as a complete package is pretty amazing.
u need to just.. GIT GUD mang.
id rather have the minimal input lag in SB than deal with Sekiro"s INSANELY harsh parry windows and stuff
@@heyjeySigma What a useless response. This is about as helpful as ShiftUp telling us to put your TV in GAME mode.
I think we have enough tools to deals with groups. The beta/burst skills and guns are useful for that. You can also always run back a little and pick them off in smaller packs.
