    I've watched many videos on footpeg removal and installation, and this is by far the best. Despite using a GoPro, you filmed in a way that the viewer could easily see what you did. Good job!

      Thank you, appreciate that! Hoping to get a better camera to film as the Gopro is far from perfect to film intricate details! Thanks for watching

    I opted for the factory rally footpegs to replace the standard ones on my 2021 1290 SAR and found them superb - not bothered about rubber inserts although KTM do do some for these

    • @SamVBikes
      @SamVBikes  Před 2 lety

      I did wonder how good the factory ones would be. Not entirely sure why I didn't go for them originally, maybe it was the price. I'd want the rubber inserts as I do quite a lot of long riding. Glad you like them!

    • @Danny-86
      @Danny-86 Před 2 lety

      Are those same height as the stock ones without the rubber inserts?

  • @Yo-Ken
    @Yo-Ken Před 2 lety +3

    Yo man, I have the same ones on my GS. I never noticed an increase in vibs, been on for 12,000 plus miles. For me they are great, I much prefer a wider a little lower foot peg. I have their adjustable shift lever also... as you Brit's say, its a great piece of kit!

    • @SamVBikes
      @SamVBikes  Před 2 lety +1

      Love them! They are great aren't they! I think the increase in vibes might be because the stock KTM ones are well damped because its a vibey engine. So might be more the bike!

      Again, fab video !

    • @JuanmaBass
      @JuanmaBass Před 10 měsíci

      Got them set up on my Africa Twin and the vibration thing is indeed there ! I believe the problem comes from the bolt and its washer, as the stock one is tighter and this one is not. I'll see if I can tune it up to make it tighter, because I believe that transmits microvibrations to the footpegs a sthey have a bit of room. Great video man ! Loved it!

  • @davidhughes3051
    @davidhughes3051 Před 2 lety +1

    Great review, i'm sure they'll perform well off road and they look chunky. Yep, too much salt chucked on the roads this time of year, cant afford not to hose down after every outing; ACF50 is great but not infallible !

    • @SamVBikes
      @SamVBikes  Před 2 lety

      I'm hoping they will be much better off road! Only one way to find out! I've just coated her in XCP Rust Blocker so hoping that will do well too. Salt is a killer for our beautiful beasts!

  • @andrewmckenzie4918
    @andrewmckenzie4918 Před 2 lety +1

    Sam, are these specifically made for the SAS or are they generic? I'm looking to get a set but don't see an option for the KTM other then the EVO model?

    • @SamVBikes
      @SamVBikes  Před 2 lety

      They are technically model specific but have versions for each manufacturer - They do them for Honda, Triumph, BMW etc. For the '21 SAS, you have to search for the KTM V2 Adventure. They also have models for KTM if you search for ION footpegs

      @@SamVBikes Thanks for the reply Sam. I located them. Keep up the good work. I picked up my SAS in May this year and have been really enjoying the miles this season. Looking at a few things to upgrade over the winter as I plan to do a few rallies next year.
      What boots are you wearing? I generally wear the Alpinestars Toucan boots and feel the room around the shift lever to be lacking. That is one of the reasons for these pegs.

    • @SamVBikes
      @SamVBikes  Před 2 lety

      No problem! Glad you're enjoying the bike!
      I've got 2 pairs, because I can't say no haha! My adv boots are the Sidi Adventure 2's which I love, and the more casual ones are the Daytona AC Classics which are amazing things. Super comfortable!

    • @SamVBikes
      @SamVBikes  Před 2 lety +1

      Still really like them. Much more comfortable to rest on. They are definitely more vibey than the stock ones on this bike at least, but I only notice it when I think about it if that makes sense

  • @stevenbown5752
    @stevenbown5752 Před 2 lety +1

    I had a set of SW Motech footrests on my old bike and they were brilliant. Made a big difference. Can you do a video on how you've changed the display from the standard road mode to rally mode? I've been RTFM-ing and cannot figure out how to change the display in to the rally layout when the bike is in road mode.

    • @SamVBikes
      @SamVBikes  Před 2 lety +1

      Great aren't they! Really make a big difference! Have you got the Tech Pack on your bike? I think it's part of the extras that come in that. It's the same screen as changing from Sport, Street, Rain etc, there's another option which is Rally
