Rallied well mate! Shinny new PB, not a bad Pro debut that 👊
Thanks mate!
Not active on social media, but congrats on your contract with HOKA! Excited to see how the rest of the year turns out 🤝🏻
Thank you mate! & thanks for watching 🔥
Brilliant you’ve been signed up Callum! Onwards 💪
Thanks mate!
That teal and orange filter is a total vibe with the new Hoka tee! Sick! Can't wait for more videos like this one. Go Callum!!
Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed it
Great to see you finally racing in a pro kit! Fantastic job on the editing, especially the race footage. Big ups Charlie

Congratulations Callum on your pro debut! Great content as always!
Thanks for watching!
Well done, Cal - only uphill after a 3:57 mile on a bad day 🤯 and that Hoka kit btw 🥵
Thanks mate! Kit is great 🔥
Well done Callum, Charlie and the team. Certainly followed the message of getting the best you can from yourself on the day. Really appreciate how you talk about aspects that are rarely mentioned eg relationships with others on the day, making self accountable and mindset. Can so often point athletes in the direction of your videos - unless try you will never know 💪
Much appreciated Mark!! 🫡
I was waiting for this video and it did not disappoint! Production quality, TOP CLASS! Congrats!
Thank you 💪🏼💪🏼
Love this so much. Keep living your dream man!
Thank you!
Great video, great lad, great run! After following good parts of your journey it makes me so happy seeing you in that HOKA kit! I hope they paid you a good signing bonus for representing them in Latvia 😉
Thanks for the support mate!
TDP really is producing some top tier content. Excellent. Well done on both races. Really solid start to the season.
Thanks Mark!

Congrats. Great run. Hoka gear is great.
Thanks mate!
Class, well done Cal
Cheers man
Great race. Awesome time. Watching from Rhode Island, USA
Heading to Boston next week to race! Not too far from you 🫡
@@the.distanceproject will you be racing at the New Balance indoor track?
I won’t, no - it’ll be at BU
@@the.distanceproject you'll like the track at BU. Lots of fast times have been run on that track.
Yep, raced on it 3 times before 🫡
Great video! Give the people (me) what they want (a video showing all the stuff a new hoka athlete gets sent)
Haha I haven’t received my full kit drops yet - but maybe something we can feature in the future… all depends on timing!
Very good season opener. Congratulations :)
Thanks mate!
Congratulations!

Strong finish Callum! Another great race and video. Wtf happened to the trapeze person though at 11:22 did they stack it?
🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
3:57 in January. Rough opener for the year 🤥 all joking aside, cracking start with what you had against you. Great building block for 2024!
Thanks mate! As mentioned in the video, your perspective changes quickly as you improve -- and it's important to take stock and look at the bigger picture. I love having these videos to do that!
Another fantastic episode, great to see. Could I ask a real noob question, but I've never run on an indoor track (they feel a bit like hens teeth here in the UK) but how does the surface differ to an outdoor track? (banked bends aside obvs). Cheers, all the best for the rest of the season.
Pretty much the same! It depends on which track specifically as they are all laid differently… some harder than others. The main difference to outdoor is what happens “under” the track - I.e. how it’s frame supported. This is what provides more/less bounce 👍🏼
Professional sponsorship and a world medal! We love to see you thriving!!

Hi Callum
This has nothing to do with the video, but how often and when do you incorporate strength training/stability exercises into your weekly training?
2x per week during regular training, 1x per week during racing
@@the.distanceproject
Thanks for the prompt reply
Just another question: do you lift on harder or easier days?
Finally you get sponsored! Congratulations!
Thanks mate!! Finally made it 🫡
Hi Callum, you were talking about your running style and that you run a bit on the outside of your foot. I also run like that a bit, so I was wondering what spikes you used to wear, before you signed with HOKA? That way I can maybe get some nice spikes aswell
Nike Dragonfly, but no different to these spikes. Both great 👍🏼
Congratulations from an old American (grew up in the days of Jim Ryun and Kip Keino, then Coe, Ovett, and Cram). You described the Cielo FlyX as "soft" and indicated they might be best for 3k/5k. How do you feel about them after the race? I'm considering getting a pair for masters races (5k - 10k). How would you compare them to Dragonfly's if you had to micro-analyze a difference?
I think they’re great, just as good as dragonfly. Very comfortable and by “soft” this is what I mean 👍🏼
Nordas wore them at Worlds (as did Grijalva), so you are in good company. Thanks for the evaluation and best wishes for the rest of the season.
Like your videos, but the heavy loud techno music - especially the heavy bass - is too much for me. I have to watch with the volume turned off.
Sorry to hear that Don! Probably best you don’t hear me talking rubbish anyway 😂
@@the.distanceproject Your commentary is great, and I'm looking forward to watching you run in the Olympics. It's just the heavy base in the soundtrack you add for the races that can't listen to.
Good luck, and congrats on you qualifying time in Boston.
