  • We had a great time working with Mike and Lucy, his Fox Red Labrador Retriever puppy.. I hope these tips help inspire you guys to get out and enjoy the great outdoors! Remember, every dog deserves a puppy sized adventure now and then!
This channel is devoted to providing a window into the life of professional dog trainer, Stonnie Dennis. I talk about dog training, boarding, health, equipment, and all the things that go into owning and running a successful dog training and boarding kennel.

My Gunner is a red fox lab. I didn’t even know it was a thing til we got him. He’s a handsome boy.

Fun video, thanks for posting! Yesterday, my young dog mis-stepped and fell butt first into a half-empty (relatively shallow) water reservoir. Before all the puppy-sized adventure-training inspired by your videos, she would have freaked out a little bit, I suppose. But she remained utterly calm, looking around herself for best ways to climb out, and successfully managed to escape her puppy-sized trap. Didn't have to lift a finger to assist her, it was beautiful to watch.

Hi Stonnie, great video as usual can be adapted to any new situation for any puppy or young dog , you can not stage this type of training it either works or doesnt. You showed it works when proper techniques applied 👍

Kayaking with a dog looks so fun! We have a fairly narrow kayak, I wonder if there is any way to take a dog on there safely or if we'll have to stick to taking her in the rowing boat.
Stonnie, do you train any hounds? I would like your opinion on weather they are really as stubborn and hard to train as some people say.

@@StonnieDennis That would be great! We have a small strip of land between our lake and the next one, so I can pull the kayak over to the next lake (rowing boat, not so much). Having a platform for the dog would enable me to explore new areas together with her.

That's a good looking lab, do you ever get any Vizslas for training? Supised if you don't they are like the most popular pointers as family pets. Hopefully, you will get one they have some funny quirks to them. I love mine she gets along with with my Lil chubby English type lab, great retrievers for upland game birds which is what I'll be using my new Vizsla pup for she's a smarty, :). Fantastic video Stonnie your content never disappoints! Any updates on Holmes the search and rescue pup you fell in love with? I'm sure 99% of the people watching the Holmes video series fell in love with him too, he was as sure-footed as a goat :) lol

Great video. Are you going to name that puppy or are you keeping it as Mr. No Name? How hard will it be to teach him a new name if you do name him? I know if can be done with an owner change, just have never seen it done without a owner change.

I just get tired of people nitpicking little things and missing the big things. That’s a great video with a ton of very useful information, yet you chose to focus on a part where it may it have been clear exactly what happened from my vantage point.
Your comments says a lot more about you as a content consumer than it does about the content being consumed.
