  • One of the most important things in a puppy training program, is the ability to concentrate and pay attention under high levels of distraction!
    I hope you guys enjoy!
This channel is devoted to providing a window into the life of professional dog trainer, Stonnie Dennis. I talk about dog training, boarding, health, equipment, and all the things that go into owning and running a successful dog training and boarding kennel.
At our kennel we place special emphasis on helping dogs reach their full potential through the use of physically and mentally demanding activities. Our primary goal is to help families raise happy, healthy, well socialized, canine companions.
We especially love training Labrador Retrievers, so don't be surprised when you see Labs of every age, size, shape, and color!!!

You're ABSOLUTELY fantastic! Younger Adults today think most important thing is that freaking crate ! Oh don't let the puppy on the ground it will get a disease! Oh it's to cold for my puppy,it to hot for my puppy. Their nuts ! I am Crazy but that nuts !

People are fearful in Washington State. They all think your dog shouldn't do anything until 16 weeks after it's had multiple parvo shots at that point. My pup was vaccinated twice by 9 weeks for no reason. If pups are nursing or weeks after weaning there's no reason to give vaccines.

I am also wondering to take a white Pyrenee puppy in addition. Again, wonderfull to see all these HAPPY dogs in this wonderfull landscape with great uncle stonier !!!!

This is great advice, some breeds take a really long time you just can not give up, we keep expanding on my service dog, but she struggles in some areas but is getting there. Thank you Stonnie, you have inspired me and many others. She still has a long way to go, but she is so smart and she is highly motivated, she is just bred to be stubborn so we keep molding and modeling the behavior to my advantage and realize that she will need the full 2-3 years as there are a lot of pressures. Just like kids you have to keep exposing and motivating and stay positive and understand they are not robots. My dog can do many things and even go to church, but my son brings home his buddies and she freaks and want to play, so we are training her that she has to let that go until I say so, even if it is the next day, she actually does it, I just have to get beyond her babiness, it works , tough but works. Hey I can't complain she does laundry and fetches medicine bottles, wish I could get the kids this easily trained-lol. Do you ever get any really little dogs? Blessings.

I have also watched standing stone kennels videos , same thing some of us just have a lounge room which has distractions like couch, furniture etc. I would love the area for the boards and things u have set up as you train and what we see in videos. any ideas on this. my backyard is not overly big, and has a 17mth old ridgeback as well.

Hi Stonnie: I've got a question for you and that is I've just purchased an Olde English Bulldog from a breeder. The dog is a female at 51/2 months old and she knows nothing except to be with her litter mates she will come home with me at the end of March/19. There will be about a 4-5hr. drive back home with her. She has not been in a plastic crate before, I've never had this type of challenge before even though I've trained my dogs in the past, mind you not to the degree that you have but pretty good. Please help!!! Also I am very fascinated with your puppy training videos they are great. The dogs stick to you like they are glued. Awesome Thanks Elizabeth Gardner in Canada Ontario
