  • I know usb mics arent exciting but with all the zoom meetings, home schooling and video conferencing going on this wireless usb has become something I use everyday. whats unexpected is how far it can transmit clearly, well beyond a city block which you will never do on a zoom meeting lol. It also has a usb c adaptor to use with compatible devices.

    That is one of the best review i have seen after going through seven of them online -
    wireless mean no wire , so the intention here is to say that you can move around while still being connected
    And you demonstrated that by moving away from the recording source - That is what we the viewers are looking for - Great stuff .

    The mic you're using sounds great. I go through so many mics trying to find what works best. I haven't found one yet. Well, I found one but it isn't wireless and it requires a battery. You have a nice following and your channel looks so clean .

    • @Raychristofer
      @Raychristofer  Před 4 lety

      Hello good to hear from you again, yes I've been doing CZcams for about eight years so I learned from making a lot of mistakes. the microphone you hear me open and close with is also a wired microphone that uses a battery but it is the cleanest and best microphone I have so I just keep using it. It has a 20-ft cord also so I rarely need to use the wireless ones. It's called Maono. I reviewed it probably 3 years ago on the channel. What microphone are you using?

    • @ItsMyLifeDaralynn

      @@Raychristofer Boya, with a 10 ft. cord and it doesn't have a battery indicator to inform me when the battery is low or if it died. Lately, I haven't used anything except the internal mic from the camera because I have had too many problems with mics chopping up my words and I'm unaware until the video is complete. It is so frustrating . It's happened many times. I have a Rode Mic Go and it crackles on the hot shoe of all of my cameras, but works well with my Mac Book Pro.

      @@ItsMyLifeDaralynn I know what you mean when I started I used to talk to the camera also. I also didn't know the importance of setting the white balance so indoors I sat next to a lamp and the light shining on me made everything Orange. It's one of those things once you find what you like just stick to it. There's a Facebook group I think the name is Amazon photography reviews and there's lots of companies there who will give you gear in exchange for an Amazon review. most times they'll ask you to purchase it first and they refund you after the review. I got some lights and microphones and tripods that way also.

    Really appreciate your review - you do a great job :)
    One thing you address that I had not seen elsewhere was the issue with synching the sound and video with cell phone usage - any workaround on that, or do I need to look into that other system if I really want the video to record to / stream from a phone?

    Nice review on this one and it seems that ALvoxcon is on point. I bought the other wireless one that you reviewed and found it to be pretty high sound quality and was really happy with it. This one sounds pretty good to and transmits a good distance for wireless back to the computer. Seems that their products are pretty high quality for a budget price and I like that. I've been getting by so far with my old school Logitech C920, but if I'm in the market for a wireless usb mic will def check this one out.

      @@Raychristofer I'll be honest my man, I get excited when I see one of your vids regardless of the topic because you are just such a good presenter of the info, but do it in such a relaxing and down to Earth manner that it's actually relaxing to watch your videos. I'm also kind of a tech guy so always like getting insight on products.
      Gaming is tough because there are just so many games you wind up wanting to play. I got the new Avengers game last week and played for about 5 hours the first Friday night, really loved it, but haven't been able to get back to it because I've been playing a bunch of Raid to make some content finally. There's also Overwatch and a bunch of other ones, so tough to balance time to game, work, and then time spent making content, especially with my content creating PC and hardware starting to get a bit long in the tooth. I'm trying to put a bit away each month so come X-mas I can get myself a new setup and finally upgrade to adobe(for both photo and video) since I'm still over here working with this dinosaur called Windows Movie Maker, haha.

    • @Raychristofer
      @Raychristofer  Před 4 lety

      @@TeKnoVKNG23 Dang movie maker, youre a legend lol. Ive never tried adobe or final cut I think Id get a headache trying to learn it theres so many options. Im using a european editor called Movavi and its very affordable I think it was 40. bux and has more features than I will use. my old pc just ran out of memory and locked up even when i deleted stuff. I went to a place that recycles computers and they happened to have a Dell gaming rig an XPS system, they sold it to me for 250.00 which is crazy, now my video renders instead od 55 min are 12 minutes. I still have alot to learn though.

    • @TeKnoVKNG23
      @TeKnoVKNG23 Před 4 lety +1

      @@Raychristofer I may have to check that out, I don't like how Adobe went to a monthly subscription service vs. being able to buy and use the software, but I need a photo editing program as well so I can start taking advantage of this D700, lol. Computers can be messy, but I've built my last 2 so can tinker around with them a bit to keep them going, but the one I built 5 years ago got a fried power supply from a lightning hit and I didn't catch it for a couple of months and the electrical surges eventually took out the hard drive and cascaded into other stuff. I managed to catch it in time to salvage the mother board and clone the hard drive, but now about 6 months after that it's starting to go again and my capture card is 7 years old and starting to glitch a lot so it's just time to upgrade. I'm hoping to actually catch a newer gaming PC prebuilt on sale around the holidays so I can just use my current gaming PC and take all the games off of it and use it for content creation. Always an adventure, lol. That's a heck of a deal on that Dell and it's amazing how getting some upgraded memory and a graphics card helps out the render time for videos.

    I have never seen anything like it before. Thanks. Did you process the sound or leave it as it is? I hear some high frequency noise when you speak. The sound quality is not very good, of course, but if you take it in order to communicate by zoom, then this is enough. You know, I like the sound you wrote at the beginning and end of the video. And it was clearly not recorded on what you were reviewing. This is the sound you need for filming video and movies.

    • @Raychristofer
      @Raychristofer  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey how you doing big bro? You are correct the microphone I used in the beginning at the end is a powered lapel mic that I've been using for years, I reviewed it about 3 years ago on the channel it's called maono. It uses two LR44 batteries and has like a 25-ft cord. My only problem is it is it is omnidirectional so when I'm outdoors it picks up sounds from cars and birds around. What is unique about this USB mic is it's unit directional so it mostly picks up sound right in front of it and isolates things from the side and behind the capsule, my air conditioner unit was very loud and I'm shocked that I didn't hear it at all. I'm on a permanent mission looking for the perfect microphone that sounds like the maono but is unidirectional. Yes this microphone sounds good enough for conference calls definitely but I wouldn't hand it to Mariah Carey to sing at a concert LOL. The company Fifine sent me a microphone to test which sounds just as good as the maono and it doesn't need batteries . Remind me to send you a link to a microphone I reviewed 3 years ago it's wireless and it's only about $40 and it's unidirectional and sounds great
