- Hey y'all and welcome back to our dumpster diving channel! We found so much on this dive - people are definitely starting to move out and starting to have spring garage sales! Which is where several of the items we found came from. We see that pretty regularly, people have a yard sale and then illegally dump the leftovers. Luckily we were able to save some items from the landfill and have a fun time doing so!
PS did you see the very last sighting of our grabber :( This was the last video we filmed with it and you can see the exact place we left it accidentally! Oh boy haha

Years ago when I threw newspapers at apartment complexes, I would get there before anyone else and get all the good stuff out of the dumpsters like baby beds, tons of kids toys, clothes, furniture, etc. and I was making anywhere from $500 to $1000 every weekend having a garage sale just from dumpster finds from the apartments. It was amazing.
Now that I'm retired I have the time to do it too. It's amazing! The money is so easy and so bountiful!
That is not a vacuum but a carpet cleaner. The Hoover carpet cleaner is a great cleaner. I have one and I love it.
You're both so happy its a pleasure to watch you both. Some pretty good finds. Well done.

Fabulous big ticket items. Would hav3 hated to see them destroyed and wasted. That table and the mirror especially are absolutely beautiful . So glad you get to have them as part of your home. #1 you guys crack me up. it's a carpet shampooer and the white plastic sheet in the dish washer is a wrap you put around the dishwasher when you install it to help keep the water hotter, and please dont paint that coffee table go get some old english furniture polish to go ver it and cover the spots that are bad. its to nice to paint. Love you guy's keep the videos coming.
I totally agree not to paint wood furniture! The natural wood look is so classic!!! And with that old English furniture polish, it will make it look fabulous!!!

The board on the back of the mirror is for connecting it to a dresser so the mirror is vintage as I am 62 years old I remember having one as a youngster ❤
I was thinking about that Elm tree in the free pot that you were considering on planting in your yard. Elm trees need to be located at least 15 feet away from your house because their root system is very shallow and will damage your foundation as the tree grows. They also are one of the messiest trees for making more trees in your yard. They produce a large amount of seeds and you will be pulling up trees out of your yard all the time. They are a hardy tree and very tolerant thus the billions of trees they will create in your yard, lol.

Nice big haul! The mirror was attached to a dresser, when the wood slats are turned down then it is bolted to the dresser. But it is a good mirror to sell. The rocker was the kind you put in a babies room, sometimes called a nursing rocker. Can't believe how much stuff you found today and it's just the beginning of move out time! Peace hope and love

I love watching you two doing your diving. Alex is a lot more comfortable now getting right into it. The red cart is a good find. And the coffee table would look good if it was either refinished or do a paint project. I watch a lot of you tubes on furniture re doing and they are very inspiring.

Great haul and fun video, you guys keep me laughing.. Where I am we have a VFW and an American Leagion both of which are happy to take still usable walkers, canes, wheelchairs, crutches, potty seats, and shower chairs or benches and will get them to disabled veterans who need them. Please help take care of those who have given so much to keep our Country Free when and if you can..

If that foam inside chair is smooshed, you can stuff any number of things in it to make it sit up properly, old clothes, towels, even plastic grocery bags. Bones might even enjoy the noisiness of the bags. You could sew on to the top, inside or out, one of those cat toy balls that have the little bell inside. That would be fun!

Aww the screen door (sticky) screen thing- would've been a good find. Both sides have magnets, which keep the screens stuck together in the middle. (When you walk through it, the magnets find each other to "close the screen'.
I guess you do have to affix it to the door-jam, but that might require a handful of screws.

That coffee table would look real modern sanded and painted black. U can paint the mirror black too. Someone would buy both in black.
The glass top that they found with the table is tinted a tan color. That glass would not look good with black or white.

Kids, since that coffee table has some dings and scratches, it would look gorgeous painted black, or you could go retro and paint it antique gold. (Black with gold flecks is also very retro). Good find.
Great dive! To help bring back the beauty of the wood on that table, get yourself a bottle of old English scratch cover for dark wood it works wonders.

Oh my goodness! You guys should buy a sander to sand down the coffee table. Paint or leave it all natural. The stuff you guys find. Just for a couple bucks at Home Depot you could buy a back for that desk you found. So awesome. I love your videos.

That mirror is to go over a dresser and those wooden pieces are to attach to the dresser. My son had one just like it

hello my name is boelie i'm from holland and often watch the movies you post on you tube always nice to see when i was there and i had a garden like you then it was quickly full of stuff i also love container sewing and stuff with me everything I can use I sometimes have to look for videos after you, but they are great now greetings from me I live in Holland
If you don’t like the stain look on that coffee table, chalk paint has a variety of awesome colors. No need to sand paper anything . Just paint and be amazed.

Awesome finds!! Great outing! If you want to clean up the coffee maker pots even more... wash them and then fill one with water and add about a half cup of bleach. Let stand about a half hour and then pour into the other and do the same. No need to do both at the same time and waist the bleach mixture. I have worked in many restaurants in my years and how we always cleaned our pots. Wash again well and they look brand new! If they have burnt coffee in the bottom from someone leaving the maker on put ice cubes and table salt in it and swish around for a bit. Takes care of it and then do the bleach thing again. Like someone said, these pots are not cheap anymore like they use to be!! The better they look the better they sell and the more $$ you can get. You use to be able to get a new standard Mr. Coffee maker for like $9.99 when on sale only 3 or 4 years ago. Not anymore!! The replacement pot alone cost more than that. Crazy time we are living in right now. If you get a maker that doesn't work but powers on, fill with a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Let set for a few hours and try again. You would be amazed. Hard water build up often is the only problem. This will remove it. I drink a lot of coffee and this has made my old faithful keep going for many years when I think she is about to give up😁! Love you two and all you stand for!
