Whenever I have a non-food item with a chip (like your pumpkins) I use nail polish to touch up chips. Often, stores like W-M and Dollar Store will have those tiny nail polish bottles (meant for those who paint pictures on nails) and they are only a dollar or so, and come in a wide range of colors. So, use one or two different colors and dab them on. They are glossy and can be put on in multiple coats to disguise deeper chips. Love your channel (and your four-legged babies)!

Cut flowers will last longer if you trim the ends on a slant before adding to your vase of water, trim the ends every few days. Trim the ends at a slant for better absorption .You can change the water....when i remember i will fill a glass with tap water and let it sit a couple hours before I replace the vase water. When I get fresh roses I use the enclosed packet with water and some ice in my vase. The ice or very cold water keeps the buds and flower heads from opening too soon.
If possible check the ends of the flowers before purchase. You would be able to tell if the flowers were fresh cut or not.

Just a tip, you can hide chips in ceramics by painting the exposed area with acrylic paint that matches the glaze and then when it dries paint on a coat or two of clear nail polish to get the shine of the glaze. For your personal use this would work great.
It’s a shame that you don’t offer the frames with glass to your buyer when you see items like that, even in bad condition, they can paint the frame with gold metallic, and it looks like gold gilding, but just save yourself time now it cost that person a lot more money to go out and buy a frame and glass and perhaps matting. I think that’s bummer just because you don’t wanna ship it like that. If a person is willing to pay to ship it that way, why not sell it that way?
Over here in England, I have noticed that the sun is rising a little later and setting a lot earlier. It is definitely cooling off and sock wearing weather is returning.

It was like being in wonderland seeing you come up on all those amazing pieces! And, if you’ll allow me to put on my Therapist hat for a second, the fact that you will make a point to reunite pieces that have been separated says a lot about your character. It’s a very endearing quality to have.

Goodwill receives many boxes and tins with see-thru tops, I would use those type boxes with some protective padding. The boxes would insure that the figures are sold together and keep them from most types of breakage.
That little German house originally had a man in one door and the lady in the other. It was a weather forecast based on barometric pressure. If it’s going to rain, the man comes out with his umbrella. But if it’s a sunny day ahead the woman popped out. LOL! It’s still sold today.
Those windchimes would compete with the vacuums at goodwill!😂😉
Danni That Multi Drawer jewely box, Frame 37:39 + . Thats nice looking the way it is, I'd leave it like it is. So many beautiful wood items are painted over, no one gets to see the real beauty of the the wood. If they want to buy it, an paint it, thats on them. To paint things is alot easyer to do, than to try an bring it back to its natural form. You found lots of nice things today !! :~)

With proper care, sunflowers should last from six to twelve days. To maximize the vase life, look for flowers that are just starting to fully open. (according to google LOL)
The jewelry box of drawers, I would leave the cherry wood. But I have also seen the chests that have the drawers painted different colors and I really like those as well. I just think that cherry wood and mahogany wood are so pretty all on their own. And I would never cover them up.
Display the Nativity figures in the jewelry case.❤
Nativity figure sets could be placed in low profile baskets lined with a cheap random cloth napkin or fabric remnant, wrapped with cellophane( or a tight fitted baggie). Cute safe way to display☺️

I am in New Zealand, we are at the end of the last month of winter, it has been quite a cold one. Very much looking forward to Spring.
No sunflowers should last several days. Sometimes it helps to trim the stems at an angle to help them last. And always use the powder packet. Btw, loving the background music!
I'm still always shocked by the sell for prices! I guess because I do my own thrift shopping and cut out the middleman, so I buy my own decor, clothes, whatever at the prices you pay. I can't imagine paying those inflated seller prices for old stuff. I have a bunch of those wooden cats and never paid over $6 for one, for instance
Thrift stores are also a middleman. Try looking on the marketplace free sites, or garage sales, then the thrift store will seem expensive 😂
Hello Danni from Modena Italy! Our weather has been unbearable this summer most days were 39 Celsius (102.2 Fahrenheit) but what’s hard to resist is when it’s 86% humidity. The last few days it’s been 29-33 C still in the 90’s. I do notice the difference at night because it tends to cool down. I can hardly wait for fall! I live in the region that’s famous for balsamic vinegar so with this heat the grapevines near my house are so full of beautiful grapes! They will be starting the “vendemmia” which will be the harvesting of the grapes also for Lambrusco. Love watching your adventures in Goodwill glad you’re able to take me along! Hugs

For the nativity figures, if they bag them, they all need to be in their own bag and then put into a bigger bag. I'm in Ohio, and it was 52 at 6.30 in the morning in August, unheard of it was cold

Sticky floors sign recognizes that working and single moms cannot afford a maid and at the same time that we cherish giving to our kids quality time to rise them as compationate, hardworking and respectul citizens. For me a sticky floor can wait until tomorrow but giving love and comfort to my child cannot.

The weather in Southern part of Australia is not so cold during the day and sunny but quite cold at night. When it's raining it's much colder and it rains most of the day for a couple days. It will be spring come September, I'm looking forward to that.

I can help you with the sunflowers. I was assistant mgr of a flower shop. As far as sunflowers go, make sure they are fresh. Most flowers are shipped long distances. They usually come wrapped in a mesh cover on the heads. Before taking off the mesh, cut the stems off about an inch up at an angle. Then take a hammer, (I'm serious) and smash the ends flat, but do not destroy them, LOL. These thick and bark-like stems need to be done this way to make sure they get nutrients. Then use ice cold water with a baby aspirin and a teaspoon of bleach in the water. This will keep the algae and bacteria done. Try them again and let us know. Good Luck!

I've grown sunflowers for years and when fresh cut they last at the very least a week. Some varieties will wilt sooner, the smaller hybrids are grown for displaying and can last longer..

Thats not a sunflower thing at all, the grocery store probably lied claiming them to be fresh; because sunflowers always last a good while with me
I think you should have gotten the wooden older bowl, all it needed was to apply food grade mineral oil to lightly and let set for 24 hrs then reapply until soaked in then wipe dry with a paper towel. That size sell for about $60 or more depending on the wood. Tiffany has a few examples on her channel to show start to finish.
I liked the scratched up bowl just like it was. Tiffany can tell you she made a video on it.😊

About the sunflowers, you would need to recut the stems and I would put them in deep water. Sometimes you can tell if flowers are old by checking their leaves.
This time of year I buy Sunflowers from the grocery. I trim off about 1 inch from the stem, put cool water in the vase and sprinkle in the flower powder that comes with stir the water to dissolve and arrange the sunflowers. Put in my living room out of any direct sunlight and enjoy them for at least a week. Sometimes I have to change the water sooner.

For the nativity sets, Our goodwill doesn’t have cases so using a case won’t work for all stores. Could they use a piece of hard foam and set the figurines on it largest to smallest then tape them down from the bottom of the foam up and over the tops of the heads then back over to the other side? Idk if that’d work but maybe it will spur a better idea from someone else?
My sunflowers are about a week old, and are in good shape. I put an asprin in the water!

I am in San Antonio, TX and it was 109 today. A few counties over, it was 116. Cooler weather is only a dream.
1) Glue a large decorative plate on top of the brass stand to make it into a table for a variety of candles or a small place for drinks when you have company. 2) The silver oval is fora placque IT can e used for a variation if signs/pics.
That Quart box holds Ziploc bags.
For the nativity, line up the pieces in a shallow thin cardboard open top box. It will still fit inside a gallon sized bag to hang. I’m sure GW throws away many boxes that could be used.
I had this video on and I turned away to make a cup of tea and I heard ‘I’ve found poo on the shelf’ guaranteed to make me turn back fast to see what was going on !!

I burn the cut sunflower to close the white sap from coming out and ruining the water otherwise the water goes bad fast. I grow them in the northwest part of Las Vegas. They grow great here in So.NV.

In Alabama the weather this week was cooler and nice outside. I have covid but I did set on the deck and drink my morning coffee but could not taste. Will be back in high 90 and 100 next week. I loved the chicken, made me laugh. The pumpkin was so different and I loved it. The small silver thing could have been for business cards for a desk. I'm guesting. Lots of great finds today.
Skin so soft would make that wood bowl look like new. My cupboards in my kitchen in the front triplex were worn that bad and they looked beautiful when I wiped them down with Avon's skin so soft.
I’ve been looking for glass pumpkins to add to my booth when I revamp it for fall and every time I find one at goodwill they want $24.99 each! Ugh! They used to be $4.99-$6.99 for the big ones. Makes me hate goodwill! Until I find a blenko vase for $24.99 yesterday lol

Autumn Bringsværd shorter days with darkness krekling closer and closer. I am in the South West Norway and we dont have midnight sun, but still sommer is very bright with a lot of sunlight. Now days are much shorter allready by Xmas we have dark days with short hours of sunlight.
