    I’m surprised you didn’t drop the rear seats and take it out through the trunk. I’m about ready to redo my headliner but the most important thing to do once removed is to find and fix the cause of the sagging. This is usually due to sunroof drains being clogged or a leak where the roof antenna is located. My car has a leak near the roof antenna and another where the sunglasses compartment is. Good video.

    I have an Audi a6 with the same issue, I may try this This weekend. Questions
    1. What did you spray on the headliner to adhere the new liner?
    2. Did it have to dry, overnight?
    3. How long did this process take?
    The video would be more helpful, if you added captions to give the quick steps you took and potential things to look for.
    Thanks.

      The fabric we used was foam backed headliner fabric, its about 3mm thick. The colour for these would be a light grey falt knit, silver, Titanium.

    Did you resuse the old headliner or got new one?

    • @ReecesAutoHeadliningRepairs
      @ReecesAutoHeadliningRepairs  Před 2 lety +2

      Hey thanks for your comment, its a good question.
      So we never reuse the old fabric/foam. And dont offer that service.
      Just full Replacement with new foam/fabric and new glue.
      If it was previously recovered in new material, then repair can be accomplished.
      Here our some Quick Fix Methods Explained in this Video
      czcams.com/video/R9zGH9KOUYA/video.html
      Fabric may only be sagging in a few places & still neat, but if it previously hasn't been recovered,
      Adding glue to the existing factory material wont work, looks messy, it will leave a visable stain due to glue hitting raw fabric. Over time the foam backing on the fabric crumbles away making it un-stick & causing the fabric to fall down. To fix the sagging issue professionally, the Foam/Fabric needs to be replaced.
      👍👍

      @@ReecesAutoHeadliningRepairs oh dang okay. I was wondering bc I plan on taking out my headliner and I was sure if it would trigger the airbags or not

    • @Reece.wilson
      @Reece.wilson Před rokem

      @@Idunno195 as long as the process your doing is not dismantling the airbag system then it should be fine, from my experience we only remove the pillars that need to come off with gentle care not to snag the airbag etc. And from my auto electrical course the teacher said the airbags can only go off under impact, sudden stop, or accidentally running power to the yellow wire that goes to them, as in installing a Amplifier with high power and running power cable to close to airbag wires can potentially do it.
      We don't work on cars that had airbags gone off or a few airbags off, or if currently been In a smash where it looks like the airbags should of went off.
      If concerned, unplug the battery 👍 but it doesn't always help 100% because even wreckers run airbag warning stickers on there stock for those that offer self removal, and that's with no battery in the car at all.
