Anyone who attempts to stay sober is a hero onto themselves. I had to learn a lot of patience and self love going through the process. I remember that meditation book called 30 Days to Sobriety by Harper Daniels helping.
I did this with Benadryl in treatment - hand fulls to sleep and convinced myself i wasn’t doing anything wrong. ‘I need sleep’ soon as i was done treatment in another country Kansas City - I relapsed first day out. smh
Thanks for this, touched me. Does 12 steps dictate which / what kind of deity one should believe in? If yes, what qualifies their choice outside of cultural norms? If not, maybe there are other definitions that are equally helpful but come with less resistance?
Hey @LaserHoers! The 12 Steps are all about finding a higher power that works for you. It doesn’t dictate specifics-it’s your call. If AA isn’t your thing, there are other ways to recover.✌️
I relapsed on kratom and nitrous in outpatient treatment. Didn’t realize that kratom would show up on a drug test. 🫠 Also shout out to Asheville! That’s actually where I was introduced to nitrous by my hippy friends 😂

That’s wild! The things we learn the hard way, right? Keep at it! 🤘
