New Ball Joint from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1ASBJ00262
This video shows you how to install new, quality TRQ ball joints on your 2011-2018 Ram 1500. Car and truck suspensions combine a number of moving parts for safe and stable handling. The ball joint is the crucial moving component that ties those parts together. The ball-in-socket joint can wear out and loosen over time. Or, the rubber protective boot can tear, allowing contaminants to seize the joint. Bad ball joints are a common failure point on vehicle inspections because they lead to unsafe driving conditions. Fortunately, they are relatively easy to replace with the right know-how.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    2011 Ram 1500
    2012 Ram 1500
    2013 Ram 1500
    2014 Ram 1500
    2015 Ram 1500
    2016 Ram 1500

The part where you talked about lowering suspension before tightening hardware is a crucial tip , I did not do this on my rear links and the bushings basically popped out overtime with heavy off-road use, the brackets were dug into and I had to weld new tabs on🤦‍♂️ you live and you learn

How old was that Mevotech TTX arm that you pressed new ball joint in?

So what I just watched is, if you are replacing those for another 90 bucks buy the package that come with the upper arm and joint already installed, with new lower ball joints, and get the tie rods and sway bar links.

Can you press out ball joints on stock upper control arms?

Isn't the torque specs for the ball joint nut 40 ft-lbs plus 180° ?

The UCA that came off is a Mevotech TTX (ugly green colour) and a better control arm over stock which they installed on the truck. They should’ve went back with the Mevotech TTX UCA. Forged steel arm and built for heavy duty abuse. Way beefier then stock UCAs.

Why did you put a new control arm on?

Notice how he tightened the ball joint press tool hand tight before throwing the impact on. Even though, I’ve seen a ball joint get pressed in unevenly and get ruined.
