Not me getting sad when you wrote Boston’s name on the box😭 oh my gosh!! This is such an emotional time for you guys! I’m going to miss seeing this cute house but I am SO happy for y’all! This will be a fun journey!!! Just remember to remind the baby’s that family is HOME! A house doesn’t make a home as long as you all are together, happy and healthy! That is all that matters. I know they’re feeling a little sad now I can see it in their sweet faces BUT this journey will be so special and good for you guys! They’ll be so excited when they’re in there new house, It’s hard to see that far in the future as a kid.

My daughter did a storage pod. Parked out in the drive she filled it they store it deliver to the new place.

Good Morning Everyone!!! At 5:50, seeing Lady on the couch with the sunglasses on. Cracks me up!!! That made my day. 😜😍😆 I hope the packing is doing good Bonnie, I know that feeling of trying to pack everything up.
The interlocking totes, the black ones with the red, blue, or yellow lids that you can get at Home Depot, Costco, etc work way better than moving boxes most of the time. Sturdy, waterproof, stack nicely for an easy move. And are resuable.

Packing things up to move makes the reality of moving all the more real and exciting. Have a fantastic day everyone!

One thing to mention on the subject of boxes. Go to a printing company or copy shop and ask for boxes. Paper boxes are a great size and stack extremely well and they come with their own lids.
Also, if you ask Walmart, they will have tge overnight stickers save boxes for you.

Awe! The suffering of buying boxes. I just moved, downsized, and packed. My friend recommended investing in storage containers instead. They are see-through, so I can clearly see what is inside, they are great for protection against any weather, and they have resale value if you don't need them after you move into the new place. Just thoughts!
Every time we moved we just called around to stores and asked if they had any boxes. You can get a ton of boxes for free doing it that way. ☺️ and liquor store boxes are the best!
They are because they house glass bottles so they are super sturdy!!!
OMG ! You really need to tape up all the openings on the moving boxes where bugs can get in if you are going to keep the boxes in storage. Very Important !! Roaches especially live off the glue that is a part of cardboard and they can live for years and lay eggs and multiply in your stuff.
I have moved a lot and have had boxes in storage so take my friendly advice.
Hey Bonnie, you can buy bubble wrap bags that are in a roll. I use them all the time when I travel so things do not break or spill.
It's always bitter-sweet packing , but exciting for new beginnings.😊
We moved into a rental waiting to buy our next home. We saved all our boxes in the garage so we can re-use them again. It takes up much needed space but it will save us money from having to buy and move again

Also….my last move I put different colored duck tape on the corners representing which room it will go to in the new house. Example: green- kitchen, blue- master bedroom, purple- etc……… 🌈📦

I loved the bloopers and the shower curtain falling. I loved the realness. We’ve lived in our house for 22 years. Moving would be such a hard task.
It's like re watching what my family of 7 and I just did! We put our house on sale, packed everything, took loads of boxes to the knew spot we would have out house at (26 acres), and then we stayed in our RV for a long time until the house was done getting built! So worth it! And so exited to come along for you guy's journey!!
I will never use an outside storage unit again, I had to throw away most of the things as mice got in and droppings were in a lot. That’s why I also pack with storage totes now too.

We did the same as you. Took all the Legos apart and put it in bags for the kids to rebuild when we got into our new house. :)

It's a lot of work to pack up and move. I've had to do it several times in my life. I have another move by the end of the year but I'm hardly taking anything with me. It's going to the dump 🙂

Let me tell you what it is like to be poor, I can't afford things like bubble wrap. So when I pack I pack my breakables with clothes that I am not going to need until I move. Towels etc..

Grocery stores sometimes have boxes left from unpacking their merchandise that they can give you if you ask. Our local library has boxes for people who ask too, so you could check with your library as well! I know it might be easier to just buy some, so it's just a suggestion since that's what we have done in the past when we moved. My daughter has the same Steamboat Willie Lego set you have! We had to buy it at the Lego store in Columbus though. 😊

I worked at a grocery store in highschool. Customers would call and ask us to save cardboard boxes throughout the day. A life hack for next time!!

I’ve never considered buying boxes for moving. It’s so easy to find free boxes! Don’t you guys get a lot of packages?
The problem is finding the appropriate size for easy carrying and transportation and stacking in a storage unit. From my experience, purchased boxes are worth it.

I’m moving soon and I bubble wrapped all my Lego and then put them in a box
Can you glue them so it doesn’t fall apart
Wrap the legos in sutras wrap then I. A separate ziploc and throw them in a box together

It is crazy to me that there you have to buy packing boxes. Here we just go to different stores and ask if they have any empty from their orders.

It's much easier to pack your stuff in trash bags and items that break easily u can just use boxes.
There is a app that if you ever lose the books you can still see how to make them from Lego
