- This small project turned out bigger than expected with the sword measuring 55 inches (140cm) and weighing 60lbs of dark chocolate!
Only the worthy will be able to pull the sword out and get to eat this 100% edible chocolate creation 😂

Nerd time!
The sword in the stone, sometimes called the sword of choosing or the sword of selection, was named Caliburn. Caliburn was broken in battle, though, so Merlin sent Arthur to The Lady of The Lake to receive the much more famous sword, Excalibur.
Even more interesting is that, according to legend, both Calibur and Excalibur were very plain and unornamented in appearance.

Oh okay, I had never heard that Caliburn got broken, so I always came to the consensus that Excalibur and Caliburn were the same sword. It also didn't help I had some people say it was two different swords and others say it was the same, had always played around the idea that they were the same and that Caliburn was called Excalibur after Arthur died and Bedivere gave it to the lady of the lake. Though this does make more sense and fills some wholes
The scabbard was much more magical than the sword.
I read this in the book "The legend of King Arthur"

Little details you might wanna consider:
1) that guard would poke your hand due to the downwards spikes. They're small enough that it probably doesn't matter, but it's still a classic "you are new to swords" tell.
2) the Sword in the Stone has no canonical name, but a large chunk believe that its name is Caliburn. Excalibur was given to Arthur by the Lady of the Lake.

Excalibur was the sword given by lake fairy, the sword in the stone is different.
Eh? Wasn't it given by the lake fairy and then jammed into the stone, where it lay for centuries, waiting for the Right One™ to pull it out?
@@olmostgudinaf8100 It depends on the version of the legend. In some, Excalibur was the sword in the stone, and there was no lady of the lake. In others, Excalibur came from the lake, and the sword in the stone was a separate sword called Clarent.
Iirc the name is Caliburn
@@kingdomkey01 Actually, Clarent is a sword that symbolizes royalties and is meant to be used for coronation and knighting. It is also one of the swords used by King Arthur. Later, Mordred stole it and used it to kill King Arthur. The sword in the stone is Caliburn, although there are some versions that say both Caliburn and Excalibur are the same.
