- People often debate which army is the best! And the results from the world championship tournament are a good place to start!

2nd in the Doubles Tournament with a beautiful army and a top team-mate
Scenarios were crazy and it was a lot of fun! Totally recommended
I'm new as well and just starting out and Jakes videos are great for new players like me. Thanks for this summary Jake, great to see Jay Clare win, but next year you should get on the flight with Henry and get over here. Well done Henry!
There is a lot to learn from watching these videos , thx
👍
Sick breakdown! Love the videos you have been coming out with lately keep up the good work man!
Henry Kerr’s doubles partner was Matt Iverson from the “Unexpected Podcast”
And Matt & Henry have done a recap on their podcast-definitely worth a listen.
Hi Jacob, great summary, thanks 🙏 I didn't know about this event since I'm new in this world of Middle Earth SBG, and your videos have helped me a lot! Also, congratulations for the Saxonia project! It looks amazing! 👌 I would love to print it but I don't have a 3D printer. Which one do you recommend for Middle Earth SBG? 🙂 Best regards
Angmar is still a top tier army (1000 pts) nowadays. Recently I've got 2nd place here in Brazil's gran tournament only blundering the last game on a fail two back-to-back to wound test against Dain (ending the game 3x2 to iron hills). Ghulavar+WK did great work together, Angmar's spells are yet relevant and unpredictable even against high skilled players.
I'm soon going to dive into ME SBG
Plan to collect an Easterling Army
Thanks for your videos, they are very helpfull
If you are interested in printing your own minis, I recommend KZKMinis. Next month will be themed to your army of choice. I have printed several armies based on KZK's miniatures.
@@hobbycathartic is that tournament legal? I have no moral objections, just curious
As usual a great video! But guard of court ar f6 without elven blades :p keep up the great work tho!
They are of course used to support an elf that have an elven blade so even if the combat is lost the court guard still survive and can do it again next turn.
🎶I move so fast, and hit so hard, but in the end, it doesn't even matter🎶
Jacob, I really appreciate the things you do for the community and the MESBG Hobby!
Do you have any tips on how to get involved into the competitiv scene? I live in Germany and find it hard, where to look to get some competitiv games in or join in some weekly games. Im currently only playing 2-3 times a year with my brother and some friends, but thats it... all the local hobbyshops only play Warhammer :)
Would love to get more involved.
Cheers mate! Love your content!
Thanks for the comment mate! I would recommend joining the German Middle Earth Facebook page. I know there are lots of players from Germany!
@@ConquestCreations is There Also scene for Czech republic or Slovakia?
@@direwolf8608 I am from Slovakia and am also interested in this.
Quick note: Corsairs are convenient allies with Mordor, but with only Dalamyr benefitting from the Corsair army bonus, losing it isn't a big deal.
Total beginner. Never played yet but i have Battle od Pelennor Fields and The Fellowship. Im decent at battle strategy games. Damn it!! I want to buy some of this and some of that and some of those just cause i like them. Half is good. Half is evil. Not enough for a great army. I have these in the cart: balrog, the witch king of angmar, Eomer, great eagles, knights of minis tirith, Thorin Oakenshield and co, Armies of the lord of the rings (to learn about all the armies) and a Rohan house (about $350 worth). But what should i get to improve/for a good army with what i already have?
Yes Henry! You Slayer!
Where do I buy all of these sets? I can’t find them anywhere I only can find the minis Tirith soldiers and URks and orcs and like main movie characters is their like a good website?
Where is the elf terrain behind you from?
Love this breakdown!! Interesting that except maybe Angmar most of the other lists seem to be Hobbit based rather than LOTR, I know it’s a little bit of a consensus already but are the Hobbit lists still over powered?
Thanks for the comment
I would recomend having another look at the army lists only 2 of the 9 army lists looked at in this video are from the hobbit era and all 3 top place lists are Lord of the Rings.
I know lots of people have said that the hobbit had power creep but I totally disagree. The Hobbit has never been over powered. There are certainly some very powerful units in the hobbit but overall the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit are very much on the same level
Ah yea true!! I think I saw names likes Razgush and Rutabi and assumed Hobbit, as these are not in the lotr armies book, guessing they are in supplement books perhaps?
Still I absolutely love your content and the battle reports!!
Hi Jacob, with the Saxonia project, if I don't have access to a 3D printer what is the best way to getting these insanely amazing pieces of terrain? They would be so great to have not only for MESBGing, but also for my DnD sessions. Thanks!
Hey mate thanks for the message! There will be several merchants selling physical prints a few weeks after the campaign ends
Great breakdown. Thought it was only Grimbold who could lead Helmingas in his warband??
His rule stipulates that as long as he is in the force all warriors of rohan can be upgraded
Would love to see Jay Clare talk about his galadhrim list or playing it 🤗
I wonder what was his strategy with it :)

@@BlumenkohlBroccoli1 Oooh! So nice! Thank you very much!! That's kind of you :D
Where can I buy that terrain?

Great armys brakedows.
Rules writer shouldn't be allowed in tournaments.
Complete conflict of interest, and his work allows him to play and practice every single day.
Unfair is an understatement.
Thanks for the comment.
I couldn't disagree more. The world champion is the best person to be writing the rules. It shows his complete mastery and understanding of the game.
He is using the same rules as everyone else so it's completely fair.
Well Jay Buff Gandalf the WHITE! Give him the Masters of Magic Special Rule
Oh what a surprise, the rules writer for the game is allowed to compete in the tournament, and to win the tournament, which they obviously do because THEY INVENT THE RULES, WTF
I think the rules writer being involved in the competitive scene is what makes Middle Earth so well balanced. There is no better person to be in charge of the rule set than the person who understands it most deeply
@@ConquestCreations yes absolutely, involved as much as possible is great, but denying participants from 1st Place Trophies/Podiums etc. due to the pure advantage of being able to shape the actual rules of the game to how THEY think the game should be played is a clear conflict and pretty sketchy man.
You clearly don’t understand what galadriel can do then, that mirror is the only broken part of the game.
Jay didn't play the mirror tho I think. The mirror is 25 points, it's not listed over there.
