I see a lot of angry gamers saying I'm driving up graphic card prices...dudes, get a playstation why would you game on a PC anyway? They cost 10x more and playstations have just as good graphics and are much more simple to set up. Gaming on a PC does not mean you have a bigger willy! see my comparison! czcams.com/video/3rPTEF82w4s/video.html
Kevin Talbot we game on pc because alot of us play world of Warcraft and last time I looked you can't play that on a PlayStation plus graphics on a pc are way better than the ps so shut it numpty
this dude wasted 2200$ cuz he didnt made any research apparently ahaha plus he is stupid asf thinking that a console is better lol good luck when next gen will come on console then you'll need a new console u dumb fuck
I have a pc but rather game on my ps
Yea, you COULD have went and bought ASIC Cards, which are better for mining. But no, you went and got PC Gaming Hardware. So yea, we are a bit angry~
Kevin Talbot because consoles sucks
I'll tell you who is getting rich on bitcoin. Graphics card makers.
The only ones getting rich during the Gold Rush were the dudes selling picks and shovels.
dam
NVDA, AMD and MU
they aren't really getting rich they are still selling the cards to the retailers at the same wholesale price the retailers are jacking the prices up because they can see a supply shortage and instead of allowing the guys like us to buy them at retail and sell on to others
That totally isn't the point. Some of these companies build inventory that disappear nearly instantly to the likes of miners (RX 580 being the prime example). Realistically they cannot increase MSRP anyway (you risk losing market share doing that).
This is painful to watch.
you are 100% correct sir... I am cringing so hard at the video and his accent even more
When he did not know which slot the ram goes into😂
the way he tryed to install the cpu first was realy interesting
Agreed. He is an example of the failing British education system. Or a positive spin might be that an illiterate person can survive and (apparently) thrive in today's world.
"Celyeron" I'm sure Grove will be turning in his grave.
For real, Jesus Christ, I love how he’s calling the other guy an expert when he clearly isn’t 😂😂😂
The only thing you've done wrong is start building it two years late.....
2 year!!! 8 years...i mined 9 bit coins first try 2010...they were worth. 12 cents American...wated electric...easy to mine back then..took a month with overclocked p4 @4.5ghz. 6 months later I sold at 31 dollars each..rediculous what price is...and what. 4k dollars to mine one now..

As an IT guy I was cringing through this whole thing.
lol what did I do wrong or is there too much to list? lol To be honest I'm surprised it turned on!
As an IT guy I was impressed at how you managed to overcome the issues with faulty parts 👍
Honest not a whole lot, you admitted your a noob at this so give ya credit for trying and getting it up and running. I do see the Celeron as a possible bottleneck in this setup. I may be wrong as I'm no Bitcoiner expert here. Also not sure how much of a performance hit you are getting hit with by running those GPU's on a 1x PCI-E port.
I felt similar but Its not the what you did wrong, its working so there is nothing 'wrong'. The thing for me is stop apologising for not knowing something, if you know great, if you don't look into it :). Please also don't say noobie lol
I'm also in IT and I deal with people that are on a lot more money that just don't care, if you ask something don't act stupid, and apologise listen and take note go away and repeat to the people that need to know (correctly). I may have had a bad week lol.
Sorry for the big reply i wish i had the money to spend on kit like this loving the videos please keep them coming.
And now the weekend can begin :)
Edited - Sorry didn't even give credit, great work at getting it all sorted however you do it in the end :) High 5 ✋
No thermal paste on CPU 😭
I'm surprised you got it to post
I'm surprised it even turned on to be honest! What do you mean by post?
Kevin Talbot it basically means turn on without any hardware failures!
Kevin Talbot - Power On Self Test
With no thermal paste the CPU's gonna eventually fry
Bdiri Sadok Was just gonna say that. But he would be better off scrapping that crappy stuff off and buying a 5 dollar tube of nt h1. The hotter the CPU runs the more power it will waste so it'd be best to use decent thermal paste.
No thermal paste on the cpu big oof
There is some applied from the factory but there is a plastic cover over it
You're a genius when it comes to RC cars not so much when it comes to PC but very entertaining to watch love it
When you put the cpu down you bamboozled me.
the entire time he was putting the cpu down im like ... hes gonna put flux paste on that right .... i still dont see the paste ... please god where is the paste ... please no so much haste just a little taste of the paste
42 its pre applied on the included heatsinks
But he touched the pins
Just be thankful its not a ryzen cpu
I stopped watching when he called an SSD a hard disk drive.
i believe the term was 'thingy'
The Gaming Hobo | zphil123 hahahahaha same!
That was 30 seconds in, it gets worse
The Gaming Hobo | zphil123 I stopped it
when he called btc Bitcoin but died when he couldn’t figure out hot to get ram in
And says "P.Y.E." when it clearly says "P.N.Y." on the box and then didn't even know what it was.
Thumbs up if you were yelling "THERMAL PASTE" when he attached the active heat sink fan to the CPU.
It has thermal paste by the factory...
His heatsink had thermal paste applied already.
Kev, really enjoyed this video.
1) It's very entertaining, which is the whole point. I want to give you kudos for going out of your comfort zone on camera, for our entertainment. Few can do that.
2) Technically, and unlike many here, I am very impressed. For someone who has no clue what he was doing, you did shockingly well. There is a difference between stupid and ignorant. And you definitely knew what you didn't know, which puts you ahead of most. As a IT guy for 25 years, I've worked with many IT people who couldn't get as far as you did. Very resilient.
My son and I stumbled onto your channel while surfing r/c videos on CZcams. Your videos are now in heavy rotation, brightening up our day during this lock-down. You've inspire me to not be afraid of breaking things and wrenching. We've cleaned up our work bench and have completed some upgrades. My 12 year old just upgrade his stamped caster block all on his own. He's very proud. So thanks!
The try not to cringe challenge...
this guy had my heart rate going up ffs
so did you ever push in the ram all the way
yes he did, after he realized to open a ram slot lever. great job dude
Make 023 Yeah but he only did one side
aurazach but it still works. i think they fixed it off camera
no, they didn't you can see it's still not in at the end of the video. Really surprised it posts.. I bet it will burn out soon
that and the no paste made me minimize and immediately go to the comments to see how much the internet was gonna flip its shit
I lost a lot this year and was in a dark place financially. Luckily for me, I met someone three weeks ago who introduced me to this Bitvest24 platform. I made an investment and haven't looked back since. I am so grateful! The year isn't so bad after all!!!
To all the pc guys in the comments who are saying it’s painful to watch: you’re not cool. Kev was learning how all this works while doing it and y’all act like you’re the smartest people on earth just because you know how to build a pc and use reddit.
jesus christ, thermal paste, thermal paste, THERMAL PASTE
Andrew Bissel I'm sure the stock thermal is more that sufficient.... Right? 😂
b.... but...
tech 101 you still have to apply the stock thermal it does not come pre applied
That's hilarious. I've actually been running my amd processor with no thermal paste for a while it runs at 70 degrees Fahrenheit with no issues. But I know it's a HUGE no no with Intel because they run a lot hotter!
SyncKid the thermal paste comes pre applied...
You want people to check out your course but you have no clue what your doing?!?! I cant wait to see your power bill and go under. Make a video of that and ill watch every minute of it.
Fake it till you make it?
To Kevin Talbot. You will make money! Buy more memory and more cards. That board will do much more and present the BTC price is around 11k. It will go up and so will your profits. Also look into adding a Wind turbine or Plug and Play Solar. If its windy you could easily get 400 watts from the air. If its sunny (have no ideal your weather) than it could be up to 1500 watts free from the sun. Pipe the heat in the winter and save on heating cost. I killed my business, my house, and my parents heating bill. Get someone experienced to help you OVERCLOCK. Please don't do it yourself. Maximize everything and it will pay!
I Like the video, How have you got on with the Bit coin mining? have you made your money back yet or have you done any upgrades to the rig?
I'm not even anywhere remotely related to IT, yet I was barely able to watch this without my eyes rolling so far back into my head that they would remain buried forever. yikes.
So u are a hippocrit

Damn, thought I opened CZcams, and not Microsoft Word. Hmm...
CZcams, collectively improving the uneducated and lazy since I started using it.
You can keep doing that and making yourself feel better, but in the end, this is the Internet, and 99% of the people who see your boring grammatical error comments will just sigh. Not learn something, but just sigh.
reading a manual to install ram..
Cringe af
sorry girls, I didn't realise we were born knowing that! lol
Thank you for contrubting to the horrible prices of GPUs and RAM
I built a bunch of these machines for various people back in 2013-2014 time frame. I used milk crates with dowels to prop up the video cards and zip tie to keep them from moving. I just used PCI-E extension cables which don't require power to work. 6 cards per crate with 1 power supply. Wish I had built one or 2 for myself back then. Good job on it.
legend is that he still wonders why is house burned down...
Cause he forgot the cooling paste for the cpu xD
Stock CPU coolers come with thermal paste attached to it out of the box.
he is wearing a jacket . so i guess his country is cooler? hahahaha. darn. i have to fix 2 fan on my 6 pcs 1070 gtx gpus.. in my tropical weather country. when i open my room. its super hot. but he temp is max at 64c so should be alrite?! hahahaha
you have to mine ethereum another coin with it, btc is not profitable rn
He wasn't actually mining BTC, I think he was mining equalhash by the look of it.
He's mining with Nicehash. It mines what ever coin is the most profitable at the time, but you get paid in Bitcoin
Right now Ethereum is less profitable than bitcoin. on my 1060gtx, I am getting 1.25 a day on Nicehash, and only 60 cents on Ethereum,
JavaScriptMike Coder i make 6 dollars a week with a 1050 TI overclock Edition with 4 GB. only thing I don't like is that the withdrawal used to be $5 and nice hash and now it's $8 which sucks because now i need to wait two just to take out my money
JavaScriptMike Coder That's after power costs right?
We'eh will build a Bitcoin mining'eh farm. We only need CePeeOuu'eh, motherboard'eh and GeePeeeUeeees'eh.
Judging by the PC work vs the woodwork just make wooden stands to sell on ebay. 1000% the profit
But... Thermal paste...
Matthew- Craft it’s pre applied on intel processors
NovaSpyPlays but is it? Is it really?
it has been like that since forever on both intel and amd stock coolers...
but my friend's i5 6400 came with an plastic cover sticker on thermal paste. kind of curious to know did that celeron have one
but its an poop cpu btw. he can buy a new one in about a week if he is getting 7$ a day
RIP THERMAL PASTE
it's preapplied to the CPU heat sink
It's pre applied to that 'heat sink' but it won't matter the way he man handled that CPU is just the top of the list of what happened wrong.
It's okay because it's a Celeron but any quad core deserves better than this
I was screaming at my screen
agreed
The rich stay rich by spending like the poor and investing why the poor stay poor by spending like the rich and yet not investing
You're right Ma'am
People remain poor out ignorance
Is not about ignorance but unprofessional broker in the market
I will introduce you to my broker Mrs Tina she is from USA and her method really working for me at the moment
Wow I'm just shock someone mentioned and recommended expert Mrs Tina
Now if you found another use for that hardware, it might actually be worth it.. I bitmine on my two PC's, which I also use for gaming, serving up files (on my massive 14+ Terrabyte RAID 5 array), playing video's (entertainment use in Living room on big screen TV) like streaming video's, downloading torrents, word processing, communications, forums, web browsing, banking, investing, commerce (ebay / Amazon / ....), SO.. Yea, Bit mining helps pay for some electricity costs, but to make money??? Nope. Bitcoin mining is not profitable, considering all the current costs. And yes, it is frustrating when you cannot upgrade your video card without paying 2 to 4 times as much, and waiting many weeks / months to get that hardware with all the bitmine hype ignorant people have been suckered into. Glad I wasn't the guy who wasted the cash to set your rig up.. would be about as embarrassing as stating that a Xbox is better than a PC. (Pun intended)
Please, re-title... "How to talk with a sock in your mouth"
that’s genuine British accent
Wiit being an @ss
@Moazzan Ali khan Ok... Ok... "How to speak with a genuine British accent while forgetting to remove the gauze from your mouth after leaving the dentist". Better?
It's almost like britain has a notable large accent range
IcarusX72 dear bro, removing little impurities from pure becomes near perfect and beautiful. Guy has spent money on rig, took time to compile and video and educate us, he deserves respect.
Did you ever put thermal paste on the processor ?
waiting for the "I just woke up one morning and..."
racimbio, there is always paste pre-applied on those intel stock coolers
no theres not, i got a intel stock cooler and there was no paste there
Robin_earth2 well that's the first I've ever heard of that. I've built computers for the last 8 years and every stock cooler I've opened, Intel or AMD has come with paste pre-applied.... Most AIO coolers and Aftermarket air coolers even do in my experience
Robin_earth2 was it second hand then?
while watching this video I realized that im jealous, that u have 4 gpus and I have none...
but then I said to myself: if u continue beeing jealous that would lead to nothing, so STOP BEEING JEALOUS!!! THATS AWFUL!!
and I stopped. such a little interesting paradox lol
17:57 I am always here with you, watching all your vids. Doesn't matter is it a 5-minute vid, or a 2 hour "movie". I'll watch all of them to the end and leave a friendly comment!
dude, ur the best youtuber in the world! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's almost as bad as the verge build
Nothing like spending $50 in electricity to farm $30 in bitcoin. Hope your connected to your neighbors electric. I honestly wouldn't trust them to build a dog house.
Johnny .Bravo as someone who mines bitcoin, this was the cringiest thing ever but i only pay 8 cents a kilowatt and about 10$ a day
How much BC does that $10 get you?
Superxpninja Lol I actually do still my electricity for btc mining, it's the best way to make profit
I feel like converting the graphics card input to go through that USB and then back again would effectively decimate the card's ability to throughput data...
he actually wasnt that bad with wood work
Mine Vertcoin (VTC). It works well on nvidia GPU's and is worth ~$4 per coin, but with your setup you could get 4 VTC a day likely, which comes out to $16 a day. Look into the "One Click Miner" by vertcoin...it is really easy to setup and start mining. Cheers!
Andrew Driscoll $4 per coin I'd rather mine bitcoins cause that's expensive these days
Those 4 "unnecessary" pins on the adapter are the pins for the analogue (VGA) signal, so if you use an adapter without the 4 pins, you can't get vga to work.
I just got an ad for someone who buys stuff on ebay and sells it for 12 times the price. It's not Kevin in the ad but their brains seem to be extremely similar
This is just painful to watch
Anthony Harris like if u can do better
Anyone with 5 minutes' experience by actually watching videos can do better.
he fucked up when he put the fucking cpu in he broke it
i bet Anthony Harris could do better for a fact
EMC i could lmao, i have a 2.2k gaming rig lmao. this build was trash for bitcoin mining
and thats why you have linus tech tips
Alex Ahadi ahhhh so true
yep
LOL im nine and i could figure the pc out
lol
"PROFESSIONAL PC BUILDERS IN THE HOUSE"
right after FORGETTING THERMAL PASTE
micha I was thinking the same thing but then I remembered those fans come with thermal paste on them already.
You need a 10x more ram and a core i9
Well yes, this is a nice example of "Dude, do your due diligence for a business plan before spending your money". Getting hyped does not cut it...
BTW, you do not have to ROI the entire cost of the rig. Just the value it lost until you sell it on 2nd hand market. Everything above that is profit ;)
When you realize maybe it is not the bit coins that are gonna make them money. It's the ads in the video from the views : ^)
Lol you lose money because of the electric cost not even counting the price of the whole shitty rig
850 watt 2x isnt much it probably costs 30 € a year
Felix Walton you skipped around didn't you cuz he absolutely consider all of those things
Flawed Productions No he didn’t, he has no idea what he is doing, especially since he bought 1070s for bitcoin mining lmao. Don’t act smart bc u don’t know shit either. 😂👌
r u already running mining rig? if not don't say it, because u don't know
Felix Walton it's not shitty he just doesn't have a case which is pretty sad
8 giga-bollocks Rams. Wow. Just wow
the value of bitcoin rises and drops i would say in July you could average £10-£15 a day which would give you around £400-£500 in one month so that's one card of the list
Who needs thermal paste?
Galaxys it comes pre-applied on itels stock cpu coolers
U still need it its a fucking btc mining
You wont need to apply it as soon as you build it, but you'll need to reapply it after a few months, assuming it was on 24/7
XD
Intel stock coolers have pre-applied thermal paste
As smart as a bag full of hammers...
Michael Roberts even a bag of hammers will drive a nail if you drop them on it
You say that it will take 880 days to see a return on your investment but that would be under the assumption that 1. The value of bitcoin stays the same and 2. The difficulty of mining stays the same. These 2 reasons alone make calculating the ROI extremely difficult when mining any cryptocurrency.
Nice dude, it was fun watching you doing the cutting work , I can't do that, but I know about computers and hardware , so good job on doing both of them .
who els freaked out when he forgot the heat synk
?????
the heatsink is mounted on the fan
Heatstink
i think someone just blew in from stupid town
Olav Furuseth BUT WHERES THE FOKIN FAN M8
I seriously got bitcoin ads. 🤔😂 On purpose or not?
the people that make the Ads target videos with bitcoin in the title, so yeah its on purpose :D
Just like if there a video about making money online you would probably get a tai lopez video lol
Same haha
Me too
Niek Janssen I really think it is on purpose
Same
This was beyond painful to watch. Only high point was expecting to see those four GTX 1070's up for sale on eBay a week or so from now. Clueless does not even come close....
If you get a solar panel it will rise your final budget but it will reduce the "money back time" in almost 50%, so in one year and some months, in your situation. That would be +4.55 pounds a day.
It's sooooo painful to watch how he touches all the pins and connectors with hands... just .. just .. don't .. please
I was looking for someone to catch this. Not only cringeworthy, but no idea what he's doing. Shorting out leads to get them to work right? No wonder he's a numbnut, and just waiting for the "my house exploded and I DON'T know why" video.
Many people keep their hands clean you know...
Your point? So you think if you wash your hands they wont leave any marks or smudges? Even clean hands leave their prints, thats why it's better not to touch any pins or connectors with your fingers.
Unless you love to solve puzzles on "Why my computer randomly crashes"
A nasty enemy is ESD or static discharge. Please consider a grounding wrist or ankle strap before assembling anything like this. at the very least an ESD mat as a work surface. there is tons of info on YT for proper ESD techniques.
I cringed when he touched the CPU heat sinks with his bare hands. That’s only the tip of the iceberg...
Guys, Is £5 ($7) per day normal for 4x 1070 cards? Cheers :)
Pretty much yeah, I've got one 1070 and it says I'll be getting about £1.10 a day.
Kevin Talbot don't know if there's another way to speed things up.
I'm using nicehash, which actually mines other stuff but pays you in bitcoin
Thanks dudes :)
about there, yup
You've probably done this or thought of it. Get rid of all processes that aren't needed in the OS. Multi-threading, or giving full priority to the process that needs to be run. IDK
I think the reason people do this is they're banking on the rise of bitcoins value, not the current value. The risk is that bitcoin could take a nose dive.
8 gigabolic rams
Chris Love i know what a fucktard
ikr not do dat boi
Chris Love so fuckin cringy
hes from the future they dont use gigs there
He touched the back of the cpu and put a stock Intel cooler on it did he even put thermal paste on there my god go back to your day job dude
The Intel stock cooler has pre-applied thermal paste.
MegaStan
so what if he put a standard intel Fan and Heatsink on it
it cools it doesn't it
the heatsink has factory thermal paste applied to it
what's the problem ?
ever since gamers got their dicks hard about liquid cooling system's and those heatsinks they are so big that they barely fit in your case
every gaming dickhead claims that the stock Fan and heatsink don't work
YES THEY DO
they have been working for years before you guys were even born and there has been no issue
and since the introduction of gaming and dual core computing, THEY STILL WORKED JUST FINE
and to this day i can prove ON ANY GAMING PC that i come across, that if i take off your liquid cooling system and put on a stock Intel Active Cooling system , it will still work JUST FINE
the only difference is the shit that you guys put in your head and decide to believe because gaming corporations tell you that YOU NEED IT
just like they tell you you need a 1000Watt Power supply HEHE
so they can make money from you.
i do however agree with you that touching the bottom contacts of the CPU is fucking stupid
i mean it became obvious that he didn't have a clue when he almost failed to remove the black cover that protects the socket pin prior to cpu installation.
Martin Kuliza stock Intel cooler is no good if your overclocking which most gamers do and that's why we need liquid cooling plus it's also about where you live hot country liquid cooling is a must if your going to have a rant learn some facts first
megastan316
oh really... hehe
thanks for letting me know
it's not like i'm an engineer or anything like that, and have done shit loads of research before commenting, Not to mention practical experiments and not to mention that i've tested all this shit across all my clients (who do include gamers who come up with all sorts of crazy scenario's AND who all tihnk they know better than i do) and then multiply that by 16 years
yeah... i haven't done any research at all. YOUR SO RIGHT.
i'm just talking out of my arse
LMFAO
I love it when gamers think they know more than i do HEHE
it's always good for a laugh
HEHE
like i said
YOU GIVE ME ANY GAMING SYSTEM THAT YOU OWN THAT HAS A LIQUID COOLING SYSTEM INSTALLED
and i'll replace it with a stock Active cooling system and it'll still work.
overclocked or otherwise
END OF STORY mate
i've tried this, i've tested it
i've tested the shit out of it
Understand who are talking to before you comment again... ok
MegaStan316
also. Gamers do not NEED liquid cooling
Gamers WANT liquid cooling
because it's cool (no pun intended)
Liquid cooling doesn't become necessary until you get to high end servers and data centers
Gamers tend to like to have a wank for the most part.
I have taken gaming machines that were running PSU that were 1000 Watt and i have managed to get them to barely run on a 350 Watt PSU but comfortably on 500 WATT
i have had gaming machines that had liquid cooling installed that i have managed to run with a PASSIVE COOLING SYSTEM (in case you don't understand... that means... heat sink only, no fan)
some can do this, some cannot
the point is...
liquid cooling for gamers is a wank
i get it... it looks cool
but, as for NECESSARY............ NO IT'S NOT
i've tested it, i've worked it out mathematically
it's not a necessity
i'ts just a way to waste more money and look cool... SIMPLE AS THAT
Most gamers don't even understand what a WATT is to begin with , let alone Needing a Certain amount of Watts
Most gamers don't understand what overclocking is, other than "making the computer go faster"
Most gamers do not understand what FPS means to begin with
like i said mate
hundreds of clients, 16 years, I've heard it all, and tested it all.
People like you who try to tell me that they NEED something in a system
NOW THINK ABOUT THIS FOR A SECOND
DON'T YOU THINK THAT IT MAKES SENSE FOR A BUSINESS OWNER LIKE MYSELF TO ESTABLISH IF A GAMER NEEDS SOMETHING OR NOT
doesn't that sound logical ?
well. i have
and i have been challenged by every gamer that has come my way
and i've always been right because i've tested it
now.. i'm happy for you to prove me wrong
but.. YOU WON'T, because i've tested it
ok
so.... YOU TRUST ME ON THIS.. ok
you don't need that liquid cooling system
you don't need that oversized heat sink with 2 x 12cm fans
for most systems, including gaming system, the stock fan is perfectly fine
it'll run whatever you want
League of Legends, World of Warcraft. Battlefield... whatever
High five! I don't know much about mining, but since you are using gaming gear and not special mining mochines, you can probably mine another currency else than bitcoin. Bitcoin have come to a point where it needs special gear that will only work on bitcoin to make you any money at a reasonable rate.
I would like to add that my first though looking at this video was "Wtf have I stumbled in on". But you did alright by having no prior knowledge of computers and I found it entertaining to watch you getting it together and working.
i think this is about as bad as the verge pc building guide video that they absolutely failed
congratulations for having the guts to post a video like that! your a legend .. I spent years building computers and you just put a big smile on my face .. good job (in a good way) keep trying
I put $25 into my computer CD drive and put the a/c on Max in my room, that was two weeks ago, I've yet to see a return? I've also left 7 calculators on the window sill and have neglected my grandmother ever since, when will I see internetcashmonies flowing through the letterbox? I'm getting sexually impatient.....
EiRe 32 Hilarious!
Brilliant!
Lmfao
The minimum is $30 sorry to let you know
Be patient
I loved it all. I knew bitcoin mining was a bad investment but I have never watched anyone do it. It's funny when he discovered he only made only 2 Pound 50 a day. LOL He grabs that calculator and says "And guy's, that's pretty crappy if you think about it." LOL He's great. That $3.45 US/day. For another 2500 or so, you can add solar to power it.
£92 a day now... should have kept that bad boy mining!
OH, BTW... if you want this stuff to actually turn a profit, then install some solar panels for the power. I've seen several DIY solar setups which can deliver 2kWh just using banks of reconditioned car batteries (cheap or free), like, eight $100 panels, and a $800 converter (and even better if you can figure out how to run DC directly into the computer parts without converting to AC and then back to DC - which is what the computer parts all use.
I think that as long as you're drawing power from the mains at household consumer rates you will never be satisfied with the amount of money it generates (or in some cases costs).
haha
This knobhead isnt even smart enough to install a processor, doubt he would be able to do that xD
the sickening thing is, your probably earning more than me, that was painful.
OK your not going to get more than £6 with that rig. Your looking at mining completely wrong and how you make money. The fact you got it going surprised me from the moment you couldn't even pronounce the CPU properly. Thats never a good sign.
So in as close to Chav IQ as I can, I will explain mining and getting your rig going.
Mining is called that, because you mining for that golden nugget (share). Over time you will accumulate enough shares to get a reward (coin). That (coin) isnt £or$ or any other countries currency, its just the (coin) you where mining.
Meanwhile on the trading markets around the world, all the (coins) will be gaining/loosing just like every other stock exchange. What you are mining for is that whatever (coin) you have rockets in value in a days/weeks/months/year/years.
This is where all the cryptocoin millionaires where made. They started when Bitcoin was worth $0.02 and was easy to mine (get shares). Now its hard to get rewards and the coins are worth $6000 each.
Now to fix that rig.
Take out all the risers and put electrical tape round the USB connected board that fits in the PCIE slot on the motherboard. (dont know what I am on about, google it and learn, this info would of saved me a week of dicking about)
Uninstall your graphics driver using DDU (google it)
Reinstall your drivers so you know your on a baby fresh install.
Turn off the machine, for safety turn off the power and then press on to discharge all the electricity
Connect the monitor to the MOTHERBOARD DVI port, dont use the GPU (you can but it causes irregular issues)
Add the 1st card and boot
Right click windows icon bottom left and click on DEVICE MANAGER, its 5th down in the list approx. It will a list, and your probably either get nothing (good) or your get some warnings in display adapters or one of the other sections.
If you see your GPU great. If its got a warning, just wait, you might see your monitor go off and on. Good that it being installed.
Once your done with eh 1st you repeat this for every GPU.
If one does not show in Device Manager, change your USB cable if you can, and then the riser and then move to a different PCIE lastly swap that GPU over with another to see if its a dead GPU. Its normally a riser or a PCIE slot being a fucker but I have had shit GPU's.
Lastly I recommend all noobs getting into this to download NICEHASH, get yourself a Bitcoin wallet, press play and let it do its thing.
Did your chip burn up just wondering if you took the tape off the bottom of the heat sink?
I love how the guy that hot glues an SSD, totally manhandles a CPU, powers up his system with no CPU power plugged in, and mines bitcoin on GPUs is saying how console gaming is better. He clearly has a wealth of knowledge on the subject.
This Hurt to Watch......
Heey Pappi I ikr
I was gonna comment the same thing. It's painful to watch this.
Watch and cry...
How can someone be so bad at understanding simple things and being aware of their surroundings, i can not understand...
He forgot the CPU power
lol. if u dont know to setup pc. just give to a pro. dont do it your self.
black zaku Theres only one way to learn, they shouldve did better research though.
Ya I built my own desktop. It took a bit of reading and patience, but it wasn't exactly the lego deathstar lol
thank you shit he has a horrible friend for letting him do that
hammer fister lego deathstar is harder
having built multiple pc and one lego death star.... i will have to agree with metin the death star is way harder
What Hashrate are you seeing? Also you forgot a SATA power plug on your board to provide the board enough power for your extra GPUs. May want to plug that in. Just finished building a 12 GPU mining rig with the same mobo. Seeing an $18 (USD) profit per day after electricity. 2 1080 TIs and 10 1070 TIs.
from 2021, yes it definitely paid off by now kev :) BTC= $60,000
Little disappointed What kind of weak finger whip was that lol....
No one beats jacksepticeye for whipping. lol
Just cause it's an exe your anti-virus will detect it? BTC Mining softwares don't trigger your Anti-Virus unless it was actually fishy.
That's what she said...
my favorite part was when he hot glued the ssd to that piece of wood. oh I also like how he didn't know what DVI-I was lol! Should of just gotten an ASIC
For god sake. OVERCLOCK!!! You'll be able to calculate a hell of amount more blocks with +2.0 GHz instead of the typical 1.6 GHz. Remember Hz is your friend in the mining world.
How much bitcoin do u have now? I hope u keep going and didn’t give up on it.. u r making bank right now
what make me mad is this guy did not even look up how to do this shit like wtf it called youtube redit and more
*Reddit
mcdj23/10k I️ know, I’ve learned how to build my pc within a week
He mentions watching a youtube video...
I was able to install RAM myself as a 8yo...
That's fucking painfull to watch
That's cool, I was building pc's from scratch at 6 months old
Thats so cool Martin Andersen, good for you! Babies can totally understand which wire goes where without any prior knowledge! What a genius, weird I never heard of a genius like you.
Thats offensive. I was molested by a vegetable pc
No problem mate. Just remember a trigger warning next time
You have a x16 slot available on that board. While you cannot plug directly into it with your set-up and manage to have all those cards, you CAN use an extender. A x16 to x16 extender would be significantly better than what you're using on a x1 to x16 riser. Consider the bandwidth of those cards. The x16 slot is quite literally 16 times as fast. You'd get a major boost just doing that. You'd do better just plugging in 1 card into the x16 slot than having all 4 working together on x1 slots. Seriously bad method of building that rig. Still, having the extra 3 together after you've adjusted for that, you'd end up with a modest gain.
What temperature is your processor running at? You didn’t use any thermal paste....
Just the way you manhandled that CPU made me cry. It would have also been helpful if you watched a video first on his to build a pic before trying and almost fucking it up
hes just trolling man
Exploit Head The CPU fan has thermal paste pre-applied
THE RAYZZ!! Because you don't need a good cpu for Bitcoin mining
THE RAYZZ!! because you are just wasting money with an i7 for mining and they use more power adding more cost using an old Pentium is better - put the i7 in you gaming pc sure not mining rig
agreed
Mine a different coin my friend. Zcoin is on the rise and is pretty stable. You can easily make your money back in less than 6 months. I'm generating about 350 a month on one 1080ti. That's not even running all the time, just when i'm NOT gaming.
Some thing to point out 1. Using windows for mining is just ridiculous, windows is one of the most resource heavy os out there. 2 you have ports for 4 more gpu in your mother board, you should have plug more gpu. 3. 1 cpu +4 gpu, i admit gpu is better for mining but what of the performing speed of pc. You are making cpu more work to manage those 4 hefty gpu/s.
You guys are roasting him for not knowing about PCs but it’s not his hobby I bet you don’t know shit about his hobby rc cars
If your going to blow through 2200 dollars initial investment and than 1k watts of energy a day, you might as well set up a 1000 watt grow. You'll get your money back real quick ;)
yeah - using a lot of electric and putting out a lot of heat - the cops could kick your door down just from mining these days :)
CryptoBear I don't think so as it is not illegal.
Mining isn't, and maybe where you are located growing Pot is not - but here if I use a lot of power and put out a lot of heat and the police helicopter sees a strong thermal image coming from my house and see a grow tent in the house. They would knock the door down first and ask what I'm doing later :)
I think we should all take a moment and appreciate how far the computing industry has come. We've gone from having to pencil out circuits to order to being able to watch people who know very little put one together. Amazing!
Ja
Plenty of steps missed here jon but do hugely agree gone of the days forcing drivers etc
...I know,TECH IS AWSOME
We've gone to Doom 3, to destroying the gaming industry!
just a little over a dollar per day, for each gpu you have. depending on the market value of bitcoin each day
All these IT guys with negative comments. So he has just proved anyone can do your job.
✋🏼up high lol What a swift kick in the balls man you win some you lose some but the lessons priceless🍻
I try these things so you guys don't have to!!
poor thing thinks bitcoin rates are going to stay at the exact same rate for the next 2 years so he can actually make his money back :(
Bitcoin is rising as far as i can see the question is will he get paid the same amont of bitcoins or the same amount out of U.S. Dollar converted to bitcoin.
very true and i kind of put my point across wrong too i think so lets say "if NO ONE else builds a minig rig from the date OP uploaded his vid then he IS laughing but...... if one fifth of the people who liked the vid were to make the exact same rig? over the next 3 months? and then ask are the 1000 gpu hashers going to do as well as the usb dongle hashers?
His power bill is somewhat fixed cost. However what he has been earning in BTC increases in value. So that 4.5 value he earned per day in Oct, or 139.50 for 30 days at a cost of 62 and is a net value of 77 for the month. That should be worth 269 at some Dec BTC values. To really make your money back, he just needs to evaluate when its best to cash in on his coins received for mining.
0n3m1s1s0 RIP
He is going to lose all his money ... does anyone know the history of USA and what happend with the economy at some point when they did invest in things they don’t actualy own? Oh yeah the whole system crashed and rich people became so fckingpoor .... this is a dangerous bubble to put 4k money in
The way those fans are spinning doesnt look like the cards are being worked to full load if being worked at all.
Kevin, I love your content but telling PC gamers to get a PS is like telling an RC fan to buy Argos RC equipment lol, Remember that Smiths £100 RC car you destroyed with an X-max? That's basically like a PC vs a PS. Though I do agree you can only get exclusives on certain consoles and sometimes it's a lot easier for people to sit on the couch and fire up a console and know everything is going to work but again like a propper RC car on a PC it's your custom job you built and tuned so it's nothing like a console it's better and your own touch and style, plus a lot of games on PC aren't available on console, keep up the good work with your channel dude, and my god it was painful watching you build this computer lol but entertaining. much love. =D
Aftet reading comments, give the newbie a break. Nobody in our world knows none to ALOT of EVERYTHING!. You always learn something new everyday. Give them credit for atlease trying.
Good day everyone.
Paxmanjp Maybe don’t spend 3k on your first computer
kris Wilson He should've at least tried to know the improtant things. But as you can see he didn't know anything about these things and that's just dumb. I mean google it and just read one text and you learn so much new things but I think he didn't even do that.
Not knowing something is perfectly understandable. Spending your money on something you don't even know however, is not.
Hey, nice rig bubt u should tweek your cards to get more perforamce. I turn down core clock on my cards, and go abit higher with memory clock. my core clock is -400 and memory clock is + 650.
Working at an IT place and studying IT in university while watching this is the definition of absolute pain... Good effort though, for someone who has never built a PC before, you didn't a nice job.
