Which one do you prefer???
I used to use Depop shipping but now I use Paypal Shipping! When a payment comes through on Paypal I just have to click on the transaction, click print shipping label, type in the weight, and then buy the label. I have found that is ends up being less expensive most of the time. For heavier items I use USPS flat rate bubble mailers, which is only about 8 dollars!

Hello I’m selling for the first time on Depop and I’m confused so when I ship with Depop and print the label and stick it on am I able to just put the package in my mail box for them to pick up and bring it to the post office or whatever or do I have to bring it to a place and I’m using usps I think

you can scan the qr code at the post office so just bring the package ready and they will stick the label on for you

Reach out to PayPal and depop to have the issue resolve
I think it’s so much easier to go to the post office and hand the lady the package pay the fee and I’m good to go.

Hey so I want to add little goodies in my packaging like stickers and small bracelets. I know this adds weight to the package, do when you weigh the item do you just weigh the piece of clothing or the entire finished package?

I think I read somewhere recent on here that if you have the label or something on Depop and then get the label on PayPal or something you’re basically paying extra?? Idk if this helps but I tried lol

tip: don't buy labels from USPS. Buy them from PirateShip. You'll get a huge discount compared to the average person.

Anything you ship that is 13 ounces or less is $3.49 no more & no less through USPS. Clearly less than Bepop, if that helps.

Ok I enjoy these videos they help on trying to get some money on the side selling ok So i sold a $5 item and did the math which was taken 10% also 4.75 the shipping & 2.9% and 0.30% and i should of had 9.35 right ? But on my paypal it says “ depo limited -5.25 and the person send +4.55 im confused ?? So I technically only get the same amount i sold it for right ? And they took 0.70 cents from my bank account .

I am a new seller so i chose ship by myself how can i switch to depop shipping???
Im a little confused at my charges on depop when I ship.. On paypal, the buyer send me a payment that includes the item price + shipping. Then depop limited charges me the 10% of the item + what the buyer paid for shipping. But then when I set up the shipping label on paypal after putting in the weight and stuff, I pay for shipping? So essentially the buyer pays me for shipping costs but then depop just takes that money away?
If you ship with depop they send you the shipping label you dont have to make one on pay pal . If you ship on your one you have to put that when listing an item

So I just ended up selling a item on depop for $15 And the shipping was $4 so total I got $16 total and then I had to ship the item out to the person and it coast $16 so basically I didn’t really gain any income, so I need some advice because I am new!
if you are going to do something like this, always make the price the price you are selling it for plus the shipping cost!! you can type in the description that you ship on your own, and state there is an extra $4 or whatever added to the total for shipping. that way you get the money for the actual item, and with the extra money they pay for the shipping, you use that to pu for shipping

They have slips at the post office that you can use to write the address on the mailers

Question : what if I choose shipping on my own and choose other couriers like pirate ship, FedEx or etc.. Does depop still take the shipping fee, transfered on my paypal which my buyer paid , if I choose shipping on your own?
Or shipping on your own the same with shipping on depop where they will still automatically charge you, like shipping on depop they will charge you 5 dollars (which included to what the buyer paid) then it is taken from your paypal?
Or are you getting the whole amount of shipping fee which your buyers paid for if you choose shipping on your own? Or depop still going to charge you a shipping fee when you do shipping on your own

Hi I have a question! Ok so I recently sold something for 15$ and it charged the buyer 11$ for shipping but it only gave me 13$. I got the label and stuff through Depop but I thought it would give me the 11$ that it charged the buyer for shipping so that I could package and ship the item? If I were to chose the “other” option for shipping, would it give me the 11$ so I could create the shipping label and package the item on my own?
When you determine shipping by weight does that also include the weight of the box and packaging?
I have a question I can’t find an answer to it, maybe you know… With “My own shipping” you enter the cost and does it mean depop charges buyer that cost and then you buy your own shipping label for those money?

I just made a Depop sell and Depop took the shipping money from my item’s price. Is that normal? The item I listed was $8 and I put the option for “shipping with Depop” for $5.05 and after the sell I only made $1 with some cents :/ I thought the buyers payed for the shipping when using shipping with Depop.

They take the cost of the item and shipping so you need to charge accordingly, it’s 10% of the full total with shipping included in that price
okay so i don’t need to use paypal? i just shipped my first two items and i used paypal to print the shipping label and they charged me for it? wouldnt it be easier for me to just get my own boxes and supplies and label them myself?
when you ship through depop they send you the label and the buyer pays for shipping
I always get my shipping labels from PayPal...is that the right thing to do? When I try to do it through depop it says I need to connect my PayPal or soemthing and it already is so I can’t see it through depop
It really all depends on what works for you better there no right or wrong shipping
if you ship on your own with depop payments do you add the tracking to depop after you’ve shipped? also if you ship with depop, and then change your mind and ship on your own can you still add tracking to depop?
1) Yes you add the tracking number manually if you ship by yourself
2) If you change your mind, Depop will still get the money for that label, it’ll already be pre-made, and you’ll have to pay extra for your own shipping so it’s not worth it. If you’re dissatisfied with the shipping you have to refund the entire purchase

All you need is to buy the stamps. Basically the stamps are kinda like a shipping label
When you ship on your own, does the money still get sent to your PayPal like when you ship With depop or is it a different process?
Depop will send you the full amount to your paypal and only take their 10% fee
I’m gonna be selling jewelry on my Depop. Should I use an envelope for it or a small Polly mailer like which one do you think is better?
I watched another Depop seller say polly mailer would protect the jewelry more
It depends on the jewelry if it’s fragile maybe use a padded poly mailer if not you can use an envelope

Depop takes all of the money you designate to shipping so make sure that you have the correct weight, or you may be charged more. Depop doesn’t know the weight of the package all it knows is what type of shipping label to create based on weight class

It can be any usps but it has to be usps.
The email is telling me to ship the item first then send the tracking code before I get my money is that normal?

You have to figure out what the post office charges on average for different weights
Do I need a scale? Shouldn’t the post offices do that
If you use pirateship, it's required that you have a scale so you can get a quote on what you intend on sending! in addition, it helps give a more accurate guide to how much to charge for shipping with depop

So I ship on my own and do free shipping. I listed a shirt at $17, depop took their 10%, but then I got charged almost $4 by depop limited? and when I payed for shipping it was a totally separate lot of money...
Did you use PayPal also? They take out a percentage also

You send the tracking link to the buyer
Depop ships with first class (F) so you can’t use the free priority mail packaging (maybe their rules changed from when u did this video tho😅)

Hi, HELP! Your video was very informative. I just made my first sale and was confused. All went smooth until I see Depop's fees charged to my cc. Can you explain why they do that and then give it back on my paypal account? Is that right? Also, I dn't see my item as 'sold' on depop. Will that automatically update once usps confirms shipment? thanks! Do you have a video on how to navigate Depops website? Its not transparent.
